    As I mentioned in this video, my grocery store doesn't sell ziti noodles (i don't know why??) so I used a smaller rigatoni - but please use ziti if you love it and have it available! Also, Hudson's hair sprouting up throughout the video is killing me😂he was begging HARD for the cheese tax

    Hi Bethany! I found the same thing at my supermarket, no ziti! Why not??😂 your channel invokes that feeling I used to get when I had family around! I always look forward to each weeks episode! I think the star of this dish is probably the meat sauce. It’s looks so vibrant, thick and tasty. With the cold weather here in Cincinnati, I think I’ll make your version of meat sauce…comfort food!💜

      Hi Bethany
      Got to make your Baked Ziti on Saturday with your meat sauce.
      I had real trouble getting hold of Spicy sausage, but managed to get some at a specialist delicatessen in a place called Helmsley in North Yorkshire,
      Now my lot love a bread to go with there pasta dishes so making your Garlic Rosemary bread was a no brainer.
      As always there was not a clean plate left, to which people loved and tasted the Spicy sausage so thank goodness I made the extra effort to get some.
      My oldest daughter said 'your American Lady sure loves her 'Parmesan Reaganian' I just smiled and yet AGAIN told her your name is Bethany !!.
      For dessert I made an old fashioned English pudding called 'Spotted Dick' first mentioned 1849 in The Modern Housewife by French chef Alexis Soyer, it was severed served with custard made with real vanilla pods, not that awful liquid.
      You must look it up and try it.
      Chris.

      @Asimplepalate  Місяць тому +1

      @@geordiejones2 Chris, that's wonderful to hear you all enjoyed it! Hahah I do love my Parm. And perfect pairing with the rosemary garlic bread, my dad always likes bread served with pasta too haha. So sorry the spicy sausage was hard to find! Honestly, if it is you could always use a regular Italian sausage and just add red pepper to it. But so glad you found some and it made a difference!
      I've only heard of spotted dick from british baking show (which is one of the few things on TV I watch). I need to try that! Along with the jelly roll you sent. I need to remember what recipe you sent me that recipe on because I wanted to try those or the afghan cookies you over the holiday break!

    Hey Bethany! This recipe looks delish! I feel like rigatoni is a better choice than ziti because ziti are smooth and there’s nothing for the sauce & cheese to cling to. Amirite?? Also, I’ve always had baked ziti with ricotta but then it’s basically like eating a deconstructed lasagna. So I think your recipe is spot on and I can’t wait to make it! (After I make your meat sauce, of course). Now give Huddie some cheese! 😂

    OK! Once I saw the Mt. Everest of cheese for which this recipe called and added to that your recently uploaded recipe for Italian meat sauce you had me sold. As far as I'm concerned, those ingredients could have been added to sawdust and I'd still cook up a batch. But add pasta to the recipe and stand back, I'm in a cookin' mood. Seriously though, I cook for one and when I come across a good recipe, for convenience I prepare multiple servings and freeze them in individual serving sizes and reheat them when desired. So how do you think this dish would stand up to freezing and reheating? Obviously not the best option but it serves my purpose.

Put it in a piping bag and fill the Al Dente Rigatoni. Put sauce or gravy to real Italians, fill the Rigatoni and stand them on end so the pan is full and they lean on each other. Gravy on top and bake. Melt a little mozzarella on top and serve. Molto Gustosa. If I get back to NYC, first thing I get is a KNISH. Can't find them here in Amish Land.
