The Best 20-Minute Cherry Tomato Pasta

- This cherry tomato pasta is the easiest summer pasta dish! It takes only 20 minutes to cook and is full of impressive flavor using the simplest ingredients. Flavors from sweet cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, and Parmigiano Reggiano are in each bite! I hope you love this dish as much as I do.

INGREDIENTS
1 lb pasta noodles (I used Mezze Maniche)
3 Tablespoon olive oil
6 large garlic cloves, minced
2 pints cherry tomatoes, halved
3 Tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 heaping cup Parmigiano Reggiano, use freshly grated
1 healthy pinch of red pepper flakes
Black pepper

Perfect! Pro tip on using basil: cut some leaves with stems attached, stir them into the sauce, remove after about ten minutes. Of course, garnish with more. Learned this from an Italian chef. Each bite of pasta will have a lovely but subtle basil aroma. Love your channel, Brava! Complimente!

Beautiful! Although i dont have the patience to cut so many cherries (usually plums), this is great if you are also growing eggplant too. Some baked or seared eggplant strips is a great addition. Btw, so dear to see You share with your Pops, and love the pastsa choice!!

Ah Bethany stop, my daughter just got in after 14 hours of doing Dental surgery and watched this vlog with me.
I now have to make this amazing dish tomorrow, and i can't say No as she is my dentist also and i need a filling, imagine if i don't make this for her, it could be a filling with no Anaesthetic.

the algorithm gods showed me this video. we are Italian from the nyc area. been making this dish for a couple years now and it has become our favorite quick sauce. I probably put one third the amount of basil you did but must say yours came better. if you guys like a little more kick, try some dried Calabrian flakes. very flavorful. you have a new sub and thank you.

Hi, Bethany. I've tried your Marzano sauce and your meatball recipes and they're great 👍 Some constructive criticism though, if I may? Firstly I think you look great on screen and you present really well, but the one thing that is missing is metric measurements for your recipes. If you only wish to cater for a North American audience then fair enough, keep doing what you're doing, but if you want to reach the rest of us, then add metric also and you'll probably find your subscription base will soar. i love watching your vidios i also made up a dish with cherry tomatoes similar to yours but i also add couple tbl tomatoe paste and some chicken broth .i am 84 and half italianso grew up with parm cheese my husband is not italian and hates to smell the parm when i am grating it he says it smells like feet .but little does he know its in the food i dont mention it to him

That amount of red pepper flakes in that amount of pasta is going to be completely unnoticeable. I found that with red pepper flakes, you're looking at about a half teaspoon per pound of pasta before people even notice it, and then, they can mistake it for mild spice from black pepper. A full teaspoon will drive people with absolutely no heat tolerance away, but will be about right for most people. For me, I would put maybe a tablespoon in, possibly more.
A generous pinch is more than enough to taste a hint of heat! I’m not for a super spicy pasta.

I don’t eat pasta, so I would LOVE to know what you would recommend INSTEAD of pasta for a dish like this. I eat an “anti inflammatory” diet, so pasta is a no-no.
Hey Rey, totally get it!! I've had a few health issues that I've had to eat the same way for a time. You can replace the pasta with zucchini noodles :) I do a lot of zucchini instead of pasta in recipes. Or beans like white beans or chickpeas! If chickpea pasta is a thing for you, you could also do that.
