  • Heading out into a frozen birch forest to find Chaga- one of the world's most popular functional mushrooms. It's not easy to do, considering this mushroom has so many incredible benefits... is it worth it?
    You can grow Chaga in a lab, but in order to be most beneficial it needs to be wild harvested from birch trees. Find out why and how to look for the "king of mushrooms".

    The symbiotic relationship between mycelium and the biomes they live in is a whole world of knowledge of how the world works that hasnt been studied nearly enough.

    What an excellent video!
    ..I'm glad you included the fire starting technique too! ..Very helpful and informative. I really enjoyed watching this.
    I'm currently waiting on a batch of Chaga tincture. It's my favorite non "magic" mushroom- Granted, it's magical in it's own way. .

    There are a lot of burls out there. They have value too for craftsman and such. The Walnut Burls are worth quite a bit.

      myth. Just easier to find and easier to haul out. I gps them while summer foraging then pick them up on the end of a hunt.

    Why don't people mass inoculate these forests? Couldn't that make for lost of future chaga?

    • @timothylongmore7325
      @timothylongmore7325 9 місяців тому

      People are trying. Thing is , it takes years to grow. Birch trees , especially yellow birch are quite valuble timber tree , so why would you infect it with something that is worth less. Stamets grows it in the lab and claims the mycillium is more potent. Where I live and in the great white there are millions of birch trees and millions of chaga.
