I saw video where a scientist on some podcast said you have to cook the ever loving crap out of mushrooms or they are toxic and do liver damage over time, is that true? Also never tried shrooms 😅 told it was a crazy trip and didn't sound fun but I have recently tried it, found it to be extremely effective for my adhd/asd. Extremely effective.
Sorry not very informative
@@smartwatchonpluto Many can be eaten raw, and are arguably best raw. Others are better when cooked. But it's certainly not necessary to heat detoxify a good strain. And it may be about impossible to heat detox a poisonous species, so it's better not to try. Stick to known beneficial species and you won't go wrong.

I have stage 4 breast cancer. When I first started turkey tail my cancer became stable, probably on the way to remission if I had t stopped it. When I stopped it for 3 months, cancer came back with a vengeance. I noticed my cancer has adapted to turkey tail so I doubled my intake from 8 capsules to 16 capsules a day. Was given 3 months left before I started taking 16 capsules a day. I developed cachexia (muscle wasting) and lost tons of weight and had. I appetite at all. Whenever I find food I wanna eat, I vomited them.. now when I started taking 16 capsules a day, I started feeling better again. This is my first week and I got my appetite back, chills and muscle pain from cachexia has diminished. I’m hoping turkey tail will start working again and live more than 3 months!! I have my own channel and been documenting my cancer journey.

In Dutch, The Netherlands it is called Fairy Bench (elfenbankje) cause it is a perfect place for the muchroom (paddenstoel) to sit on. We call Mushroom paddenstoel cause toads mean padden in Dutch and they can sit on mushrooms. But the higher ones are called Fairy Bench, cause only the fairies could sit on the higher ones, cause they had wings. Just a little story of the European Dutch naming of Paddenstoel (mushrooms, funghi) and Elvenbankje.
Thats cute

It needs to be noted for people who who ding know about Paul Stamets mothers journey, she added turkey tail to her conventional cancer treatment, turkey tail was being used in addition to other medications
I've heard him say that his mother was too old for breast removal and chemo/radiation would not be suitable. I assume she was given medication of some sort though, is that what you are reffering too?
As much as I love Physics, Mushrooms are truly the next scientific fronteir. Endlessly fascinating.
how does yours fit with the late Ed(?)
Yeah, I'm not a scientist. I'm a philosopher and a poet. But I love putting on my proverbial (and literal) lab coat to grow mushrooms. In that sense, I have become a scientist without ever intending to. Funny where life leads us.
It's not just endlessly fascinating, rewarding, mind expanding work. It's also lot of fun. I highly recommend it.
@TalkingToLeedskalnin, surely you are the first to know that physics is applicable to mushrooms. If you really love physics, you will pioneer mushroom physics.

Bach Suite 3 in D Major was the piece that I was listening to when I was catapulted into another dimension the last time I ate some sacred mushies. Brought me to tears as my ego dissolved into an utterly tragic beauty that I still can't fully describe to this day, and inspired me to embark on my mycology journey. To hear this song at the beginning of this video about one of our greatest fungal allies makes me feel like I have answered the right call. Or, maybe I'm just a hippy bastard. :D

1. some people successfully do carnivore for cancer.
2. some people successfully take Ivermectin (dog parasite med)
3. some people successfully do the alkaline diet. Buy litmus paper at the health food store. Spit in a spoon and test the pH.
My daughter only tested alkaline one day and then it went back to slightly acid. But that was enough and she became well.

However, today, while picking trumpet & hedgehog mushrooms (insane amounts by the way:) I was really happy to see there was a second flush coming all over the area I foraged, and the colors was remarkable!

These videos are becoming more professional each time! I do think it's beneficial to use the leftovers after making a (double) extract. Free fibers. Just dry it, make a powder and pour it over your soup or something. We westerners get way too little fiber. In my country (the Netherlands) the intake is 20gr. per day, that's just half of the recommended intake.

Thank you for your videos. We have a troublesome lack of clarity and wonder if you could help many of us with this PROBLEM: What are the reasons you and Paul Stamets differ on whether it is best to use the fruiting bodies or the mycelium? Would it be possible to compare your positions and the science behind them without getting into a competitive argument, but to join in your efforts to find the best practices for all?

Hi Tony, I just recently became interested in mushrooms for medicinal purposes. I never did like eating them. I currently drink chaga tea. In the past 2 weeks I found turkey tail and 2 lions mane mushrooms growing on my property here in NW Georgia. Is it to late to try and clone the lions mane? It's already turned brown instead of being bright white. I also pulled a chunk of something off a half dead tree that resembles chaga, but I read that true chaga only grows on birch trees. Is that correct? Thanks for making video for people like myself that has limited knowledge.
Since I just saw a clip about Chaga, yes, it needs to be birch trees. The birch has compounds important for the Chaga, so other trees won't work

Chaga occasionally grows on beech and locust trees.
