I am Harbiner, and I am living in US now, Harbin definite is a big city, not only in China, even in the whole world, it is bigger than New York, so it is not a small city. The walking street is the longest one in Asia, so the saying it is not long in Harbin is not true. Honestly, the best season to travel to Harbin is Summer and Winter, there is not too much to see in Spring and Fall, and the sky is not clear during this time too. If you guys just want to feel the culture, then it doesn’t matter. I appreciate you guys tour my city and introduce it in UA-cam. Merry Christmas! 😊
As a Russian, I wonder, what do Harbin people think of our country? I don't know much about your city aside from the history, but I can say with certainty that your beer is very good!

My mom is from Harbin and I've been going there over summer holiday since I was little and love it there. Only recently tried it in winter and it's a bit too familiarly cold coming from Canada. There are some really great foods like the dongbei shao kao and guo bao rou but the liangpi is totally a vibe and the fried veggie thing gives me hard nostgia as my mom would always make those for me and my friends. Hope you visit for a bit longer next time 😍😍
Yeah it would certainly be an experience in winter, I'm not sure I could hack it as Beijing was cold enough for me haha We really enjoyed the city though would love to go back.
in the 1920s Harbin and the surrounding region was one of the candidate sites for the Jewish homeland, mostly due to large number of Russian Jewish refugees already there. Can you imagine had it actually be selected ?
Then the Jewish might claim it as their own and evict the Chinese living there. Like Palestine now. Only difference is, the owner is China and will not allow that to happen. Lol....

I went there last Summer and I felt at home since I can speak both Russian and Chinese 🥰. Even if the Russian street is really made for tourists, the traditional red sausage is really tasty! Yeah that is considered the height of summer in China I would say. This was filmed early October so it was getting a bit chilly in the evening but was still nice.
