    I love the Ice sculpture. They are so beautiful and romantic and eith all the lights even more so. I cant imagine how much effort and ability it takes to build this place. The russian architecture gives the the city a unique touch like it is a real fairy tale. I am glad you like the food I would probably be grossed by most of the stuff😂

      Yes it’s so true, you have expressed it so well. It really feels fairy-tale-esque, especially with all of the little lights, and the ice, it doesn’t seem like it should be real! And as for the food, it’s always good to try new things, you never know what you might like, you might find your next favourite food

    • @TDemonHunter

      Yes that is true. I have not been in China yet so I have no idea how the real made in China dishes taste...

    Nice video! Going to Harbin in December and acclimatising myself with the freezing temperatures by watching Harbin videos, haha. Was taken aback a bit by your friend not knowing what the radiator in your hotel room was and looking for a remote? I wonder how you guys are surviving when there is a complete internet server blackout. But that's the new century we are living in.

    • @TravelWithSoph
      @TravelWithSoph  Місяць тому +1

      🤣🤣🤣 in south China they don’t have radiators, only AC units which you control with a remote. It’s not about generation, more like discovering different culture

      @@TravelWithSoph Radiators are around for decades and are general common knowledge. I am from a hot Asian country too, but even my wife knew instantly what they are fore when we travelled to Europe.

      @@klausadrift7568 sure. Still does not mean they have radiators in south China 🙂

    I loooooove this video! Your journey is really interesting!!! 🎉🎉🎉And, actually, those grey-green eggs aren't century eggs. They're a specialty from Northeast China called 实蛋solid eggs. Made by mixing egg liquid with edible alkali, which gives them a totally different texture and method from century eggs~

    How did it work with wrapping your scarf over your face for warmth or was it easier with just the face mask on. Was it heard to breath with the scarf over your face.

    • @TravelWithSoph
      @TravelWithSoph  3 місяці тому

      Honestly none of the options were amazing 😅 the scarf was easy to breathe, as it made the air warmer to breathe in. With the mask, it was creating a lot of condensation, which was then freezing on our faces. So I also put a tissue under the mask. But the time that I was in Harbin was extreme weather, I don’t think it would normally be like that

    Hi im going to Harbin this coming December. Im wondering if everything there is using AliPay etc or do i carry around some cash with me as well.. Thank you in advance

      You can use Alipay. I used WeChat pay because I live in China. I would take some cash in case you have any difficulties, but honestly everywhere in China is paying through your phone. Enjoy your trip !🙌🏻❄️
