MD Raj The absolute BEST way to start the Fate series, is the visual novel, but if you dont have time to do so, the next best thing to start with is Fate/Zero, (also I heard that the heaven’s feels movies are a great way to start Fate, but idk about that)

Start with fate/stay night, the 2006 (i think that's the year?) version, where the 'people die if they are killed' meme originates from. Then watch Fate/kaleid liner prisma illya (and all ovas and specials and the Fate/kaleid liner prisma illya movie, 'oath under snow' BUT the movie is a prequel and it must be watched only after you see the first 4 seasons of fate/kaleid -they only have like 10 episodes each it wont take long- ). The OG Fate/Stay Night were just 3 separate timelines (not including the ones leading to the bad endings) that branched off from a single starting point. This concept is why the Fate Multiverse exists and why the spinoffs can be considered their own closed off stories. How is that complicated?
@Tigger Suthinand I'd actually say Apocrypha is a good anime. It's just not a great anime and that's the issue when you compare it to UBW or Zero, which are really great. As itself, Apocrypha did a whole lot good and was a fun ride that I've honestly found myself revisiting the most of the Fate.
Me before fate: This video doesn’t makes any sense Me after fate: Wow gigguk you really explained it in the best way possible You guys can watch fate in this order: 1. Fate/Zero 2. Fate/Stay night 3. Fate/Stay night: Unlimited blade works 4. Fate/Stay night: Heaven’s Feel After these you can watch the rest however you want since they are all spinoffs and they don’t directly affect the main story. You can also play Fate/Grand order it explains all the servants really well. A lot of people says you have to pay a lot of money but it’s not true you can play the game without paying. BUT if you have more then 1 or 2 waifus/husbandos you might need to pay since the game has $hit rates and you have to sell your soul to get every character you want
You mean the chronological order? The release order jumps all over the place, and while I had fun placing all the pieces together, I feel the chronological order would make the most sense for a complete new comer. Or maybe skipping Kizu movies and going straight to neko monogatari black and continuing from there. I feel Kizu is made more for the fans than new comers, as it isn't super great as far as intros go.
@@TheCalmPsycho no, going with chronological order during first view 1) it's a pain in the ass going through all the different parts and 2) all the mystery is lost. There's as reason why the arcs were released in that order. Chronological order should be advised for re-watching. Regarding Kizu, even if it is the first part chronologically speaking, it wasn't supposed to be the intro. The intro to the series is, of course, Bakemonogatari.

F/SN UBW(2014)-->F/SN Heavens Feel Trilogy(won't end until 2020?)-->F/Z(if you can't wait for the HF trilogy to end)-->Everything else is optional in whatever order...
Watch F/SN (2006) it's pretty bad but it's the best starting point without reading the light novel then, UBW which is pretty much the best one of the 3 parts, then Heaven's feel, then to complete the story watch Fate Zero since it was made in such a way that it is a sequel that happens to be a prequel meaning after the whole series has been watched it shows what put everything into motion. Anything outside of that is optional but a lot of it is pretty fun the Fate/Extra game is a fun rpg with small visual novel mechanics in order to romance your servants.
Personally, I think Fate/Zero is perfectly fine as a place to start. I mean, the VN would be ideal, but that's a hassle and a huge time investment. But Zero works just fine. Especially since ufotable's FSN adaptations assume you have seen Zero and make nods to it. Yeah, Zero spoils FSN, but FSN also spoils Zero. Either way, you're getting spoiled. But I think Zero is all around a better story, so I personally would rather that one be unspoiled. Anyway, in short: read the VN if you can. Otherwise, F/Z followed by UBW(2014), followed by the Heaven's Feel movies is fine. Everything else in the Fate franchise are just spin-offs and completely optional.
The real answer is: Start anywhere lol. The franchise was created with no intention of expansion, so it no longer matters if Fate zero spoilers UBW or otherway around. Whichever summary sounds more fun to you, then you start there.

Your profile picture matches your comment
Start with fate/stay night, the 2006 (i think that's the year?) version, where the 'people die if they are killed' meme originates from. Then watch Fate/kaleid liner prisma illya (and all ovas and specials and the Fate/kaleid liner prisma illya movie, 'oath under snow' BUT the movie is a prequel and it must be watched only after you see the first 4 seasons of fate/kaleid -they only have like 10 episodes each it wont take long- ). Then after that go for fate unlimited blade works, season one and two, then do fate/zero. Then the two heavens feels movies (theres gonna be 3 but only 2 are out right now) and then uhhhh dosnt matter what order you watch the rest in.
I just strongly advise watching the old fate/stay night version as your first one, cause it gets you introduced to how things work and stuff very nicely.

tbf it's stops being AS complicated once you stop thinking about the spinoffs and just focus on the stay night routes. Can't wait until UFO Table adapts the sequel

F/SN UBW(2014)-->F/SN Heavens Feel Trilogy(won't end until 2020?)-->F/Z(if you can't wait for the HF trilogy to end)-->Everything else is optional in whatever order...
ua-cam.com/video/nhzytLBhmhU/v-deo.html
Watch F/SN (2006) it's pretty bad but it's the best starting point without reading the light novel
then, UBW which is pretty much the best one of the 3 parts, then Heaven's feel, then to complete the story watch Fate Zero since it was made in such a way that it is a sequel that happens to be a prequel meaning after the whole series has been watched it shows what put everything into motion.
The real answer is:
Start anywhere lol. The franchise was created with no intention of expansion, so it no longer matters if Fate zero spoilers UBW or otherway around. Whichever summary sounds more fun to you, then you start there.

I mean, it's hentai and probably reading it all takes more than 100 hours so is it really different than playing the original VN?
Astolfo hentai be looking great ngl
I mean the original was an eroge, so...
"Doujinshis are better with context."

@@furrosama uuuhhhhh
the best way to sum up Fate is "database of heroes of all eras that exists outside of time and space, here's some unrelated plot-wise stories that involve the heroes being brought back on Earth."
Noob says: "fate timeline's got me headache"
Well kid, you don't even see the whole Nasuverse
Oh dear god
?
Nasuverse as a whole while it's rewarding if you managed to understand. It is a hell to go through because of all the information it contains and some of them are just at the same time mind blowing and fucked.
Try the Leijiverse. Leiji himself hates continuity, so good luck figuring out whether the Harlock from the space train one is the same Harlock from Captain Harlock.
Your modern lovecraftian monster right here folks.
“you mean the one who’s red or the one who looks like saber?”
“yes”
The shortest version:
Saber
I have watched the fate series
*This literally IS the short version*
Pls help me
I watched Fate stay/Night and I'm stuck there is just too much
And it looks boring
@@HarshRajAlwaysfree the first fate stay night is the worst... if you dont like it then drop it... I think that watching fate zero will be harder though
@@GreekWizard101TricksScotA I don't know I actually watched fate stay/night and the unlimited work
I liked the original one more
U saying there is something even better ?
Pls guide me
@@HarshRajAlwaysfree I dont know... I liked all of them..
I would rate them (i haven't watched heavens feel)
1. Fate/Zero
2. Fsn Unlimited Blade Works
3. Fate stay night
@@GreekWizard101TricksScotA Fate stay/Night (saber route)
Was quite fun and light hearted at times
But unlimited works was too serious
I would like something similar to first one
Are their any parts like that ?
I have watched Lunar legend tsukihime ,actually I liked that more than original Fate series
Well at least the visual novel will have an official English translation on Switch and Steam now for people who want to read it.
*It has Lesbian Lolies kissing*
.
.
"I Think I Need to Watch That"
that's why all of us watched it we need to face it.
That’s the only thing that makes people watch it
You are talking about Fate Kaleid Prisma Illya, not the entire fate series
i saw it because after seeing illya's death in ubw i needed to see her being happy
Yeah, her death in UBW was terrible!
Fan: "How did this get so out of control?!"
Fandom, feeding the fire: *"i LiTeRaLlY hAvE nO iDeA!"*
ShinyKyu was that money being thrown into the fire? I can’t tell-
@@mysarla yes it is. And we have no intention to stop!
I think it was because the author get suggestions and make what if stories from fate universe, writes a brief summary, fans like it and then the author says, Fvck it. Let's make this! Apocrypha and Kaleid follows this path of thinking
@@Aosk36 Kaleid wasn't done by Nasu though. It's spin off done by a different guy, Nasu saw it and approved of it but he didn't write it.
@@Aosk36 You're close. It's more like an author propose an idea to Nasu, and Nasu approves of it. I mean, that's basically the start of Fate/Zero (written by Gen Urobuchi).

Funny thing is that was my first Exposure to the Fate Franchise.
DrJayNation everyone needs to watch lesbian lolis kissing every once in a while..........**door opens up** FBI, FREEZE!!!
I'm actually amazed at the lack of puella magi madoka magika here... UNTIL NOW
*Who got this recommended to them after watching his long version of the fate timeline ?*
Same here
Yes
It's also the short version lmao
*me* ✋😂
You mean the long short version?
Starting fate is like starting one piece, but every episode you watch is determined by a shuffle.
one piece isnt confusing though compared fo fate lmao
One piece isn’t confusing at all what are you talking about
Ismail Sari that’s why he said one piece in shuffle, as in you’d watch the MANY episodes out of order.
@@itzryuma it is long
Bro I rather watch One Piece from episode 1!!!! FROM THE BEGINNING!!! then trying to figure out where to start with the fate series well if there is a start that is.
Didn't even mention Tsukihime, Carnival Phantasm, or Kara no Kyoukai. That's the short version for you, I guess
but thats not fate. he would have mentionned them if the video was about type moon in general
he also missed fate requiem, fate type redline, and case files
Also didnt mention the fgo anime adaptations
@@Kisubaa Maybe because the video is older than the FGO anime ?
