I guess you could say he took the Cenic route
I was at this Seattle live show! What made this so funny was because it was partially inspired by real life events. We were at ECCC and different celebrities and panels were scheduled for different times and at various locations. John Cena and Hayden Christensen were promoting whatever they were promoting, and for some reason, their panels were always adjacent to the McElroys. So the whole weekend all the signs in hotel lobbies would say like "2nd floor: Hayden Christensen & John Cena; the McElroy family". I have no doubt that the fact that the McElroys were probably literally crossing paths with Hayden and John all weekend and sharing venues with them gave Griffin plenty of time to come up with this good good content

I was there too- absolute delight. The recording kept that whole bit, thankfully, instead opting to cut the WikiHow "Approach the Wizard" segment, which, while sad, makes sense (it had a notable visual element to it)
i was there too!! i was the person during haunted doll watch who told them to refresh the page so the number would go to $69 :] it was Wild to hear them talk about places in seattle and be like “oh shit ive been there”

Yeah, it was my first ECCC. I ran into the MBMBAM boys a few times at my hotel and was in an elevator with Dekus voice actor heading to our rooms. All super down to earth people, and I didn’t want to bother anyone, so I just awkwardly locked eyes with travis every time we crossed paths before I did the tight mouth thing and nod and look away like a fucking weirdo.
I never knew what to do, but once you lock eyes, you sort of instinctively look back at them, and it just kept happening
When I was at this live show this was their opening bit and it actually went on for a good 15 minutes or so, everyone was laughing hysterically, I know it was probably too long for the final edit of the podcast but some of the best goofs that were said live got cut out. My favorite bit was as Griffin was weaving this great fiction about John Cena bullying him to "go in the sink hole", Travis said to Griffin: "Are you sure this was really John Cena and you're not just making it up? Griffin, is John Cena your Tyler Durden?" to which Griffin replies: "......No, because I think I would have remembered the word for 'drain'". The whole crowd lost it, it was so good.
Oh, dang!!! This sounds amazing! It makes a lot of sense that Justin was like "we need to cut this out" by the end, I was like "bro, it's been like three minutes" but I guess that makes sense if they edited out most of the brunt of it
It was really good in person, I loved how long griffin dragged out his sadness before he started the story
Okay but because of this live show, my sibling and I HAVE to reference Griffin’s line about how how the hotel is great because it’s the first time he’s stayed across from a CHEESECAKE FACTORYYYYYYYY

This is so cool!!! Such a wholesome art style…I love how Travis is like mostly beard, and Griffin is like mostly glasses…it’s not everyday you find a dope new MBMBAM animatic channel…mad props!!!

It's kinda shitty of Griffin to do the funniest bit of the live show right at the start, it took me so long to finish that ep because I kept returning to this moment. Amazing work!
Okay so I was at this live show and I can 100% say as funny as it is now? It was 100000000000% better live. Griffins face was completely serious the entire time. It was GOLD
