- In this video I install the Flowmaster Outlaw axle back exhaust on the Mustang Ecoboost! This dramatically increased the character of the car! Please let me know what you think in the comment section!

@@MIKE07S bro I recommend I love my ecoboost if you looking for a daily driver , you should get it you could get these cars around 25-28k just talk them down brother , but I do recommend the car I gap stage 3 Subaru STI and I’m stock these cars are quick !! But if you have the money get the gt bro not really a difference in insurance I’m 19 and you could get a gt for the low 30’s

I just recently got my 2018 ecoboost this exact exhaust and I absolutely love it, sounds awesome even with everything besides the exhaust being stock. My only issue is that my check engine light is on and I’m not sure why. It has just recently got out of the shop bc of transmission issues that are now resolved. Does anyone know what may be the problem?
Hmm did you install a downpipe with this exhaust? If so it’s possible it’s throwing a code for the Cat. I would see if you can read the code and go from there. Thanks for watching and glad you like the exhaust!
If the car is still stock, maybe one of your sensors is bad or loose. Bring it back to the shop so they can check.

Hey JP, no worries! I have another video on my channel showing the scavenger y pipe. You could do what I did and get the axle back first and then add the scavenger y pipe. I really like the sound with the y pipe. Or yes it looks like the American Thunder Catback is just both units in one package. So thats a nice option as well!

The pipe diameter is 3.5inch right? I’m thinking about getting that cvs catted downpipe and mating it to a single 3.5inch y pipe with a dual resonator

I bought the exhaust and I’m having secondish thoughts because in order to improve the sound more it seems like I’d need a Y pipe, but I just wanted to ask you how it sounds now with just the exhaust
I like the sound I have right now but I do think the y pipe will be my next step. I think it will give it that little bit extra I’m looking for. The nice thing is you can always start with the axle back like I did and add the scavenger y pipe to it if you want it louder. But everyone’s tastes are different lol. Thanks for watching!!

Hey! Yes it should sound exactly the same. I have a stage 1 Cobb tune but that shouldn’t do anything for the sound. I recommend it! Thanks for watching!

Any car back set up should bolt right up. I just did it in steps. Even if you bought the flowmaster outlaw axle back and scavenger y pipe at the same time you wouldn’t have to cut your oem exhaust 👍
Do you know the size of the clamps? I bought this exhaust used and didn’t have clamps
I think they are 2.5in at least that’s what I think the pipe diameter is but not 100% to be honest.
It is kind of hard to tell but is it any deeper than the stock exhaust? And if it is, how much?
Oh yeah it’s deeper than stock for sure. Not sure how to convey how deep it is besides the video. I do have the y pipe on order so I will be adding that in a future video. Thanks!

Yup! All ecoboosts from 2015 - current are 2.3l so your good! 👍

Does your stang have active exhaust? Mine does so don't know if it will work
No mine does not. The y pipe might work but the exhaust will not work with the valved system you have. The active exhaust is cool though!

Sure thing! I like both to be honest. I choose the flowmaster because it seems to have a bit more burble to it than the MBRP (from the videos I’ve watched). But both are great options! I may be adding the scavenger y pipe to this setup in the future as well.

How is the sound level inside the vehicle at cruise speed? (70-80mph)
It’s not loud in the cabin at that speed especially with just the axle back. No drone at 70-80!

It has a loud cold start, and is loud under full throttle. On the hwy or just cruising it’s actually really quiet. It’s a good balance if you only want it loud when your getting on the gas. Thanks for watching!

I definitely do! Added the Resonator delete pipe as well and think that completes it. Those manuals are fun!

GTDI actually has more potential then a 5.0 v8 and the 2.3L GTDI I-4 Engine are very reliable!

If you are ready to spend some monaayyy, you can make it sound good.
First , i had mbrp catback on my eco but after sometime i got bored nd needed something louder. I went with flowmasters nd cvf Ypipe. Definitely louder nd much better tone but no pops on decels.
Finally ugraded to Borla atak cat. Handsdown!!! The best in the game !! Pops without tune on decels . Very loud and has nice tone to it.
All 3 setups mentioned were great sounding! And you could hear turbo spoools in all😄

A civic was my first car and I can tell you this does not sound the same lol! No buzzing. Not a v8 but better than It was in my opinion. Everyone’s tastes are different though.
I recommend all of you with a eco stang the flowmasters outlaws with the scavenger Y pipe and the cvf catted downpipe 🤌🤌 just do it trust me
