This video is intended for news and educational purposes only.

As a US Army Veteran, thank you for these videos. I am a patient of the VA. If you encounter VA employees sharing PII/PHI in public, please record, report the incident to privacy/quality/OIG, and I only ask if you publish the video with sensitive information censored. I love that the VA is concerned with our privacy, so let's give them the necessary information they need to improve their privacy practices.

@@TTA42800pay attention to the note at the bottom
      November 29, 2021 VHA DIRECTIVE 1078
      1
PRIVACY OF PERSONS REGARDING PHOTOGRAPHS, DIGITAL IMAGES AND
      VIDEO OR AUDIO RECORDINGS
      1. PURPOSE
This Veterans Health Administration (VHA) directive maintains VHA policy by which
members of the VHA workforce may produce and use photographs, digital images and

And as far as to who HIPPA applies too.
      hhs gov
The HIPAA Privacy Rule establishes national standards to protect individuals' medical records and other individually identifiable health information (collectively defined as “protected health information”) and applies to health plans, health care clearinghouses, and those health care providers that conduct certain health care transactions electronically.

    • @johnv3733

Exactly right. If a healthcare worker or administrator at the VA is discussing PII or PHI with a patient IN THE PUBLIC LOBBY, where any member of the public might casually overhear, then that is a HIPAA violation on the part of THAT EMPLOYEE. It would be malfeasance in office, and therefore a matter of keen public interest. And therefore NEWSWORTHY. If a member of the public witnesses such malfeasance, it is not only their RIGHT to document it, it is their CIVIC DUTY. If a VA tyrant tries to appeal to morality telling you to stop filming, throw it right back at them that they should stop unlawfully conducting business in plain view, and that you will darn well continue to document their malfeasance just as long they keep at it!

TTA: I like how you explained the lobby privacy to that lady. You nailed it. They should not be discussing anyone's patient history or info in the lobby, if there is anyone else in that lobby with or without a camera. Camera makes no difference.
TTA: Thanks for asking the LT about the Applebee's incident. THAT one is being watched by a lot of people.

That security guard the first 15 minutes was really cool. He does his job very well. Believes in the constitution. He wasnt sure at first so he remained calm got informed and went from there. He would make a very good police officer. His ability to de-esculate, keep his composure and be very personable would be a huge assett to the community he would serve. We need more officers like that and get the bad ones out.

Not that you can’t have similar issues there as well, but those men and women are trained from day 1, how to Not be reactive till they have assessed the situation to the best of their ability each and every time.

If you come to Honolulu, HI. There's 3 or 4 COPS who chased teenagers and caused a crash. Teenagers 1 or 2 are paralyzed, COPS lights were off. After the crash, COPS left and they were called to the scene of the crash. COPS playing like they wasn't involved, but camera's seen COPS chasing the teenagers. (It's being dragged out, lawyers trying to get these CORUPT COPS OFF THE HOOK)

The officers also charged the man and his wife after finding the guilty party in the restroom. I'm surprised they didn't try to charge the infant that was in his father's arms with interference into a police investigation. They're too corrupt when they also try to CYA themselves. I hope the charges are dropped immediately so they can file a lawsuit. Hopefully the officer who threw all the punches will personally be responsible for their child's college education. 💯✌️

It's amazing these public accessible area government facilities treat people like cattle at a window instead of providing privacy. I think the real issue is like these supposed care workers how little they actually care. Step up beefer or cow you're next in line to the window..Even the veterans there for help or care shouldn't have to announce their name or reason..These facilities need to provide privacy..I'm going to make a perfect point even in private businesses like Walmart pharmacy..HIPAA is being violated every single day by a pharmacist blatently announcing your medication in relation to one's health conditions through the window. They do this crap every day to every customer..I've had to tell pharmacy employees ,do not announce my medical needs. Our system on HIPAA is so hypocritical.

This man is truly an advocate for our 1st Amendment rights. I believe he goes by the name "James". James is extraordinary in the art of communication. It is an art form. To be able to convey your Constitutional rights, thats written in Black and White, and yet keep your cool.... takes extreme poise, patience & composure. To be able to express yourself and be professional, courteous, polite and firm all at the same time takes mad communication skills. James has mastered this. My Hats off to you James... my brother! You are my 1st Amendment voice, of the people, by the people. It's what our forefathers had foreseen in the future of our Country. They were brilliant men, despite what the "Woke Movement" says about them. We are flawed, no one government is perfect, but I admire you for being a "Constitutionalist".

Glad to see the security guard was well informed, cordial and respectful. We don't see many of these folks who do that. The manager wasn't having any of it but remained professional. Lt Nosalik has to be one of the most transparent officer to include the chief you spoke to a few months ago. He seemed very genuine and honest. The lady at the window was very rude. The Sgt and the chief were very professional. The chief was right. An investigation starts with A and ends with Z. They can't focus in on just O & P and call it complete. The process has to be completed in it's entirety. It does take time. No, I am not a cop (lol). Great audit!

2:28 Paragraph 10: *“Photographs for news, advertising, or commercial purposes.* Photographs for advertising or commercial purposes may be taken only with the written consent of the head of the facility or designee. _Photographs for news purposes may be taken at entrances, lobbies, foyers, or in other places designated_ by the head of the facility or designee.” So it’s right on their wall, just like Poster 7 at the post office.

The officers need to be in jail. If I walked into a restaurant and started doing that to another individual I would be arrested. Just because they have a gun does not make it okay for them to snatch somebody up, with the baby in his arms, and start dragging and hitting him. It was at sleep no investigation whatsoever they just went to the first black person they saw and abused them. Behind BARS. That man was not a danger to anyone. Jail and only Jail time for these officers. I'm talking about the Applebee's incident

Thank you very much TTA for this audit. The security was great, he should be working as a cop, I am sure he would be an asset to any police station. Chief was careful, he didn't want to get his hands dirty. Transparency is a different thing, but it is clear that they are in each other's back pocket.
