  • This $86 Zelda 3DS Was Supposed to be an Easy Fix - I bought a 3DS XL (Zelda edition) on eBay from someone selling it because it had analog stick issues. However, what started as a simple analog stick replacement turned out differently than I expected once I got the 3DS open and saw the mess inside. Things purchased on eBay don't always turn out as expected... but that doesn't mean I can't fix them!!

About This Video: A Legend of Zelda 3DS XL I purchased on eBay had issues that at first seemed to be caused by a messed up analog stick. After I got it taken apart I discovered someone had tried to glue the analog stick ribbon cable on because the locking tab for it was missing. Turns out the analog stick worked just fine and once the locking tab was replaced and everything was cleaned up this 3DS was good to go.

You never know what you're going to get when you buy broken on eBay! Do you have a Nintendo 3DS?

After watching dozens of your fixing videos I convinced myself to buy a broken glacier white PS4 slim. Seller said "it overheats easily" so I bought the arctic silver 5 thermal paste and followed your info step by step and it worked! $100 for a working ps4 slim! So thank you very much for these amazing vids, when stuff like this happens just remember you help more people than you can imagine

I love the fact that you detailed it before selling it. When I work on a console, handheld, laptop or a desktop I do the same. It shows you have pride in your work. Keep up the great work ; )

In my dream home, I was wanting a wood shop. I still do, but after watching your videos, I realize I’d also like a spot for electronic repairs.

Isn't it just so satisfying to hold something you've dismantled and cleaned, in your hands afterwards, and just look at it? I got that vibe from the end of this fix and I certainly love it! Good job Steve, again. 👍
