So... This video was basically a commercial for custom straps.
lmao yep
The most intelligent commercial for a guitar strap*
NoGood MilkShakes precisely
Yep
Always has been
You forgot the Punk guitar strap. It's so low, that the only thing they can play are power chords.
So pretty much pat smear and billie joe armstrong
I was about to say "this is low punk strap erasure" lmao
I sometimes do the power chord thing
@@davida4662 I mean Pat Smear was really talented, the reason he could have the guitar that low was because Nirvana songs are super easy. In his other band The Germs had difficult songs, so all of Nirvana songs were a piece of cake to him, and he just jumped around alot so that helped with stage presence..
True p.s. I'm one of those guitarists
thats a really cool ad for custom strap...hahaha
Why are there no replys
@@nickgames7120 I dont ____?
That low key sponsership XD
Jonas De Bruyn if you think this was slick, watch IAmAlphaM's videos
Jonas De Bruyn drop c
Jonas De Bruyn "Lowkey"
Jonas De Bruyn "lowkey"
Doctor, tiege hanley will sort that right out.
What if my strap is an old rifle strap from a 1942 Mosin Nagant ?
Bson34 then you should be against Hillary as well, I'm hoping
Bson34 then you're a badass
Bson34 thats badass
Best comment so far
I'm stealing it.
I love the vibe of low straps but it gets so hard to play compared to high straps
0:52 that sounded expensive 😵
Notice he wasn't flipping around the PRS.
it was a squire too lol
@@Pugrug. what?
@@Sticknub he said how he wasn’t flipping the prs, the entire video he was using the green prs and on the clip where he’s flipping the guitar, he’s using a squire strat
I'm the no-strap guy 'cause I sit down to play
Best commercial ever
I have the strap that always falls off...
@Florian Späth or duct tape.
Or duct locks
Or strap tape
... will give you cat like reflexes from having to save your guitar all the time
Same.
I like to play sitting down, so whenever I actually do stand up, I want to make my strap higher. but then I look completely ridiculous.
Same
Yeah I like it when I can touch my guitar with my chin !!!
That's funny, 'cause I'm the opposite. I hate sitting down 'cause it makes my arm cramp up.
Saaameeee
I'm the opposite lol. I prefer playing standing up as I could never find a comfortable and convenient position when sitting down.
did i just wacht a commercial?
my same thought
yes you did
Im a metalhead, but I prefer a high strap lol
Nate Landherr me too
Nate Landherr I'm the mid-strap guy
Nate Landherr which wasn't in this video
Same
For me its the band themed strap, I literally own 2 one is GNR the other is iron maiden.
I don't even have a guitar but you can bet your ass Imma get a fucking custom strap right away!
Forgot the 3$ basic strap for someone who's interested in just playing
Or the $11 Ernie Ball strap
Did NOT see that sneaky ad coming! Nice one; but deep down, I still kind of resent it and it makes me feel like not even checking it out just for spite.
Can we just appreciate that he dropped a prs custom just for us!!
I have the same resonator as you, its the Gretsch "alligator", beautiful tone
+Jake Bennett The tone is awesome!
I love how for the guitar flip he used the shittiest guitar he had lmao
So! it's not years of practice that can make someone a guitar legend, IT's the strap he/she uses. Well shit, I wish I would have learn that years ago!
this channel is pure gold
0:51 I cried when you dropped that guitar😂😭
its 100 bucks
notenex Its an Instrument 😢
you don't know how scared i was when u did the guitar flips
that was smooth af I didn't see that coming
when i saw this in my reccomendations i immediately knew this would be quality content, will browse for possible subscription
you forgot the buckethead strap
It's nice, but so hard to play with.
The guitar just keep bouncing. :(
Lucas Gustin you have to be a God to play in that strap
That last one really is a super sweet strap.
Well shit. That well placed ad actually makes me want to get a custom strap.
"The Strap That's Always Coming Off" is the winner !
My first guitar strap was a shoelace until my 8th birthday when I got an Ernie Ball rainbow strap until I was sick of its design recently and bought anoth Ernie Ball strap this time in black
In 1978. I bought my first good guitar. A Guild S-300 D. With that I bought a strap. It was a Franklin strap. A bit pricey. But the leather was so soft and comfortable and definitely never slipped. I liked them so much! That I only buy Franklin straps up to this day! What that says about me? I like comfort?
I only now realized that “knockout” from nashville noises EP was already written since 2015, wow
Yoooo best non commercial commercial ever lol!!!!
Greetings from Barcelona! I just found your channel and I'm watching all of your videos, they're all awesome, you deserve a lot more subscribers, keep the great work.
It's an ad, but it's a funny ad, so I still gotta thumbs up it. :D
I don't have a strap... I mean, why would I need one when nobody outside of my bedroom wants to hear me play?!
You forget the kid that’s been playing for 6 months, is in a nirvana tribute band, and has either a police tape strap, lightning bolt strap, the Pink Floyd strap, etc.
I'm so glad yousition ads have been replaced with Deringer
holy shit, they're $97....
that strap around the pegs literally tore a spike down my back
The funny thing is... I've always used my straps the "wrong" way. The fixed side of my strap goes to the tail of the guitar and the adjustable end goes to the upper bout. I've done that for so long that it feels weird using it the way 'most' people use a strap.
No one (and no guitars) have died so I guess it's OK.
My Strap is pretty low and punky but slightly high enough to be more low and practical for other things
I have the Hetfield type strap which is low that when I play Cliff Burton bass riffs naked it covers my pubes while playing Creeping Death in my bedroom like if Flea was part of Metallica.
the strap that's always coming off, hey that me
I don't even mind that I just got slapped in the face with a 3 year old ad.
I like how he toke a squier even when he had strap locks
I’m currently using a guitar hero strap because I spent all my money on a bass and amp. Its worked so far.
You forgot the “Tom Morello” the metal head with high strap
Lol I don't have a strap and the "doesn't know what they're doing..." that's my entire life right there 😂😂😂
Fecking hell got me good and proper with that add 🤣🤣🇮🇪✌️
The string strap also means that my acoustic doesn’t have a strap peg by the neck
I like that finish on that strat 1:11
Don't we all miss the time when drop C was low? *sigh* It forever will be
I just use a Fender logo strap on a Squier (though it is a Vintage Modified, so it is top of the line).
You don't have to justify if it's top of the line or not lmai. No one gives a shit if you've got a custom shop or a mini squier
My friend recently got into leather working and he made me a strap for my birthday
I know that this is an advertisement, but it worked
"Practices flipping his guitar more than actually playing his guitar"
Unintentional Kamikaze 101
The Krist Novoselic strap, when the strap is so low that he keeps banging his bass on is knee and has to hold his picks with his thumb and middle finger
I’m guessing I’m the only one with a pirate themed guitar strap cause I’m just vibin
And THIS is how you properly advertise sponsors.
Wow that whole video was really just an ad for a custom guitar strap
The strap that always comes off that’s me can someone help me I want to know what the hell is wrong 😂
Very cool and we'll thought ad, I actually enjoyed watching it
YOU FORGOT THE 50$ bedazzled straps i be buying to match the guitar perfectly
I think the low strap is more connected to punk rock it was popular for punk rockers to wear their straps low
BUY MY STRAPS!!!
I keep my electric guitar strap kinda high because I'm originally a bluegrass rhythm player so I've always had my acoustic guitar high and I'm just used to it
Just like Tom Morello ! ;-)
See, these are the kinds of videos perfectly built for the new shorts UA-cam has, but he hasn’t made them in a while....
you just gained a subscriber! hello fellow musician!
You gotta admit, low strap looks awesome
I have a strap with the lock hook. Makes my guitar feel more secure. And by no means will I ever flip my guitar around my shoulders and back, because I'd hate to be the Strap That's Always Coming Off guy.
Ya boi's got Dime in the back +rep
Funniest ad I've seen in a while.
I recently got a strap with Pat Methany's name on it. Looked him up, and apparently, he's somebody big. Doubt it's an actual autograph, but at least I know who's name it is.
I like the straps that look like they just walked off of the set of Hee Haw.
My friend used like a really long shoe lace as a strap once
If you really wanted to commit to this video, you'd use the PRS for the over the shoulder guitar spin.
In the spirit of honestly; I've done this move twice, maybe 3. None were successful. The first time i was 12 and unfamiliar with the concept of strap locks; you can probably work out what happened.
The second time i WAS familiar with strap locks and had them in use. That one was an issue of lack of spacial awareness. I had plenty of room in front of me as well as the sides, behind my however was a different story. I felt the guitar go up and around only to abruptly stop when the headstock slammed into the dresser that was behind me.
How that guitar didn't break I'll never know. It was a "Kramer" Beretta, but not really. I think it was called a "Starfighter by Kramer." Pretty much an answer to the "Fender" Starcaster that you'd find in Walmart. It was a beginners package from Daddy's Junkie Music in Nashua NH, had to be in 1988 or so. I remember that guitar, it actually was floating around for a number of years. I sold it to a buddy in 93 or 94 and he actually kept it until the late 2000s. Im pretty sure if was pressed particleboard. The "wood' around that lone volume control just crumbled after a number of years. This is the first steps in what ended in me working as a luthier years later. My first "fix" was definitely more of a hack than a repair; i just used wooden matchstick wedged between the pot and the inside of the routing as line a shim. Think "doorstop."
Thats a really smart commercial
Wait... This was an ADVERT! And now I have a custom strap! Despicable!
Seriously though, that was an awesome way to get advertisement into a UA-cam video
I always keep the strap normal height. I play metal and classic rock. But don’t put the strap all the way down like a metal head. The guitar just sways around way too much. Better to keep it in standard height
And there's me. With my retro leather strap that just looks fitting to my guitar, is handy and reliable. Oh and my strap made out of a seat belt. Fitting my carbon guitar.
This was the smooothest way ever to advertise guitar straps👌👌
“Guthrie goevan” 😂😂😂 i am from his home town and it is said “gu-vun” if that makes sense. Great vid
A custom strap will make me play better right ?
Scotty D Yeah of course. How do you think the legends like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Yngwie Malmsteen managed? Do you think they practiced? Nope, they just bought a custom strap.
You forgot the John Lennon strap where you can practically smell your guitar it's so high up
I know for a fact that strap lock show off but had you scared out of your mind afraid you were gonna hit the guitars in the back.
Motocycle chain is my guitar strap ,,,MR. ROCK STAR
In all seriousness, what is that custom strap? It looks sweet!
my heart broke when i heard the guitar drop
You sound like you’re about to explain the history of punk rock
0:37 how'd you know?
me who has never touched a single instrument, let alone playing or having a guitar: *hm, yes, interesting indeed*
Great Product Placement
Tyler: *Says Drop C*
Modern Metal Fans: All you can play in drop C is Levon Helm songs.
U really dropped that guitar way to commit
0:52 my heart broke
The low strap bassist-
Krist Novoselic
Dude you straight up dropped that guitar on the ground, my heart bleeds
I'm the: yeah, normal dude
