I can't get enough of this game, as someone who hasn't played Afk Arena, I haven't felt out of place.. which is good!

I haven't played much, but:
1) this is a formation game, so deciding your key strength and the center of gravity between you and your opponent will be key.
example: at first glance healers need to be protected. actually: not really. healer is the 2nd most important aspect of your team. the most important? ofc it's the main dps or the debuffer (depending on how you build the balance of your team).
"Your own self" and "the way to win" have to be the most important aspect in any combat strategy game.
(for your team, prob Cecia/Scyllia/what is her name again? at least for now.)
2) Too much freebies early mean none of these units will be hold-able meta-wise later. If it's "content gaming" (say: player vs computer) then devs can just fit the difficulty to help players who just want to play lax. But the pvp part... yeah meta will be there. prob 1 or 2 units from early game, and the rest keep getting updated.
