I just made this recipe for the first time today. My husband and I demolished the whole rack. These might be the best ribs I've had in my life. THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you. I followed your recipe exactly and mine turned out fantastic. I would also like to add that you represent your video tutorial very well. Very clear, very understanding and no extra nonsense and to the point.
Ok, I made these the other day for a client of mine. He was wondering why I was using a slow cooker since he generally uses a bbq for ribs. I told him if he doesn't like the ribs, we will go back to the way he usually prepares them and he was agreeable to that. Long story short...he LOVED them and now this method and recipe is the new standard. Thanks so much !
I just would like to shout out a big thank-you. I tried this recipe and method yesterday and I was very happy with the results. I really enjoyed the ribs! The directions were very easy to follow which is great for someone like me.
I added the dry rub and the sauce. I use G HUGHES sugar free sauce. With my cooker set at 8 hours, it was done in 6 with it being very tender. I take them out, add the sauce on both sides, put them in the oven on BROILER for 3 minutes each side. Perfect, and I don't have to hassle with the outdoor grille. Yummy.
I do crockpot ribs all the time...however my rib includes brown sugar. It’s creates a sweet flavor and when you brown the ribs in the over or grille, results in a really nice flavorful glaze on the ribs. I’ve been doing it that way for years
I tip all the rendering left over in the slower cooker into a saucepan and with a very low heat on the stove reduce down to make a very thick and sticky sauce that I drizzle over the ribs.
I just finished making and then devoured these ribs, they really are THE most tenderest ribs I’ve had in a very long time, even my picky hubby loved them. I served them with steamed white rice, roasted rutabaga n carrots, coleslaw and drizzled a bit of the rib juices over the rice. Sooo good. Thank you for another fabulous recipe.
This was an amazing recipe that my kids ask for every night. Instead of bbq, I used a waffle cone, swapped the spices for sprinkles and instead of ribs, I used chocolate ice cream. (pro tip: with these substitutions, no cooking time is required) Thank you for the amazing recipe! New family favorite.
Just found this video and LOVED how concise and descriptive you were with the directions. I especially appreciate the recap at the end to just review and reassure me that I followed the recipe correctly!
Been doing this for years. You can also do them dry in the CP until done and then brush on the sauce and finish them w/a quick ten under the broiler for a lil' char and voila 👍 Make sure they rest a bit
@@TheCheriashley yes. Crock pot cooking doesn't need any extra fluid. Natural juices cook through. Don't want to boil them. MAYBE some sauce. That's PLENTY!
I did my ribs in the crockpot for the first time and they were awesome. It only took 6 hours on the low setting, then I put them out on the grille. Everyone loved them. Thank you.
Just tried this tonight and it was awesome! I had six very large individual pork ribs and used the dry rub you suggested with a light coating of BBQ sauce. Ran the crock pot on low for 8 hours and then 1 hour of "keep warm" in crock. The meat was falling off so easily I could barely grab them out of the crockpot with them falling apart. RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!!
Found this on line and tried it the same day. You are right to say this easy recipe is awesome, best spare ribs I’ve tasted for a long long time and on my first attempt as well. Many thanks for all your great recipes from New Zealand
Love all your recipes and it's so nice of you to make it super easy to print them. Some channels may have good recipes but do not list ingredients or directions so you're forced to write directions while starting and stopping the video... who has time for that. Your recipes are alway flavorful with quality and easy to obtain ingredients; not overly complicated like a Martha Stewart who would insist you churn your own butter or fly Madagascar to buy your cinnamon. BIG THANKS
Undoubtedly this is the best crock-pot ribs recipe because you have doubled down doing both a dry and wet rub for the pot, which makes the best sense. Then finishing off the ribs under the broiler so the ribs carmelize AND have a nice browning by fire to give them a great color. Touche!
@@Thestayathomechef I did, thank you, they were very good. First time I used any type of rub. Now for a glass of wine. Leftovers will be used in a pulled pork sandwich tomorrow.
For some reason your videos haven't been showing up on my feed even though I'm subscribe and the bell was clicked on. I have to search for you, when you used to pop up in the top of my feed. Glad I found you again!
i love leaving the membrane on, when you cook them thoroughly it provides a little crisp texture to keep from just having soft non chewey... don't want tough ribs but some chew is nice!!! So you aren't making a mistake keeping membrane on. I say try once with on and once with membrane off and decide which suits you. If you leave membrane on, you can still score it with a sharp knife to let the spices flow!!!
ah I just ordered some of these liners from amazon while watching this, I just bought really cheap rips at walmart they are on sale after 4th of july holiday I will slow cook them all day thursday and eat them when I get home from work that day mmm mmmm

2 questions, how long on the broiler? Smoked paprika, can you mix hickory seasoning with regular paprika? Seems hard to find smoked paprika.. . . A place in Tulsa, called "Land run" seasoning makes really good hickory seasoning.
Great instructional recipe! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! And god bless you for surviving the asinine comments without having developed a noticeable twitch. 😉
In reference to the dry rub, I added one tablespoon of brown sugar, to the recipe and it came out amazing.
