When the kids of today are in their 60's will the songs of their youth touch them in their hearts and bring tears to their eyes from the wonderful memories?
I saw Lighthouse at Kent State University in 1973 (?) They were one of the opening acts for the headliner group, Bread. Lighthouse tore the place up. People were dancing on their chairs and in the aisle. Bread came on and all the air was sucked from the room. I went out an bought every Lighthouse album I could find at the time.
Sara your comment just hit my funny bone I'm howlin, you said bread came out and all the air was sucked out of the room . thanks for the morning laugh. boy is that 2 ends of the spectrum Lighthouse rocking this stuff out, and Bread singing If a picture paints a 1000 words lol Thank you.😂👍
Danny. ( lead vocals) sang at my moms wake ….. omg. My family had not a dry eye . Do special 🎉❤ Skip was a close family friend.RIP 😢 My parents had many a fun and great evenings with his family and parents . Wow. What a time early 70’ S 11 out of 10 😅!!
I agree .How about adding ,The Ides of March and make it a triple bill. These guys did this in 1971 ,and you hear this and they blow you away. The power still in their voices and the lead singers.thanks for the video.
I loved this band in the 70's. Am so glad to see this on youtube..can't wait to tell my brother since he turned me on to them. Went through like 4 or 5 copies of this album, I played it so much. AWESOME.
those of us who blow a horn will notice the shake from the trumpet player on the end of the intro-fun likewise some of the high notes later on. I've always thought this was a song to fall in love to and a song to fall in love with. These guys may look bit elderly but they are sure having fun and it's a delight to watch

This is the first time I have seen this. I am slightly involved with the session player scene in Toronto. The horn section looks like Chris Howells on trumpet, Simon Wallis on bari, and I think I can see Doug Gibson on trombone through the cymbals. All are great players. Way to hit the screamers Chris!
Fun... I remember my college roomie had the One Fine Morning album and blasted it through his quad speakers regularly. Our dorm buddies from Ontario introduced us to these guys!
Just getting back from on the Blue Cruise. These fellas were in the presence of some major rock legends. It is one man’s opinion that they absolutely owned the cruise. Just Brilliant. Canadians eh....!!!.
Love these guys. they would play at Mountain Laurel resort (White Haven) and spend many a night At Bock's Pocono Trail Lodge in Blakeslee, pa. great bunch of guys.
Good going after all these years but sorry to see the Corporate look with jacket & slacks. Dudes get an updated wardrobes, more casual outfits. The 60’s & 70’s were all about rebelling and not being like Corporate America-being free to be ourselves😎🌈😉🌻🎼🎤🎸🎺🎷💕.
Right on, Kamar.... The tenorist was on the back right, and the trumpeteer was on the back left. Couldn't place the bonist - probably behind the drummer!
When you listen to them, the trumpet player has some real good high notes. A buddy of mine went to see them and heard the trumpet player they had at the time playing some Maynard Ferguson licks. They always had a good horn section. and back in the day, playing horn in a rock band, this was always one of my favorites to do
Should have stuck together a tad longer..they would have made it big time ala Chicago...shows they had the talent and the timing with the big brass sounds...good group .
Agreed. I was lucky enough to see Bob perform in a duo at Ontario place. He had the voice and look that made Lighthouse. Gone too soon. This guy is okay but looks like a businessman trying to be a Rocker.
Living legends performing a timeless legend of a song of the entire universe and beyond where we all fly!
All those years and I never, and I mean NEVER get tired of hearing that song. I thank you for that!
Lighthouse's hardest rocking most awesome song ever! Ron marcella
A legend of a song by a legend of a band!
Now that is real music! NO freak shows, side shows or gimmicks. Amazing gentlemen, keep doing what you're doing. This music brings back many memories!

Awesome, sadly there is nothing on the market like this now, PURE TALENT>
Never forgotten by me. Lighthouse are legends to me.
Miss you Bob McBride❤️🇨🇦❤️
This was Bob McBride's Song! He sang it like he owned it. Nice imitation. Lucky to see Bob at Ontario Place. Miss his fantastic voice.
As good as the studio version was, this is one of those songs that really needs to be live to breathe.
Great summer 70's music!! Ceadarbrae Collegiate well represented!!!
I have listened to this many times, today I heard the mistake ay 2:23. Glad they are human, and I can chuckle because I do it too

These guys were part of my musical upbringing and awesome to see them live.. thanks for sharin this vid!
As HOT today as the day it was first recorded!
Wow ! These cats still Have it !!
Saw them live last week. Best damn show I've ever seen.
They performed at our high school when I was a youngster. Never got to see them but remember the posters for the concert. Still love their music.

Damn! 40 years later and they still had it. I hope they're still together.
Great!
Sweet Memories of living in Port Credit in 1971
The Genius of Lighthouse!
He still has the chops and the voice. Fantastic
He is not the original singer. That would be Bob McBride. Bob was the best!
Still cranking up the volume on this one!
Fantastic music NEVER gets old!!
Very impressive amateur video! Thanks for sharing this great song! :)
This is a forgotten great band by the vast majority. However, you only need a select few to appreciate great music
RIP Skip Prokop...thank you for.yous songs!
Excellent. Great memories.
Great Version of their song....FJA in NJ
Love this group
Love these guys. they would play at Mountain Laurel resort (White Haven) and spend many a night At Bock's Pocono Trail Lodge in Blakeslee, pa. great bunch of guys.
Great song !
the best ever recording. Kim.
Badass :-)
Awesome
Still the Best.

Agreed. The singer looks like a bank teller trying to be a rock star! Sorry but nobody can replace Bob McBride as the Lead Singer.
RIP Skip
Nope...Just a great entertainer & fantastic vocalist!
Its a shame Chicago and Lighthouse never performed together at the same time.
THERE'S MORE TO A SONG - THAN VOCALS AND A TAMBORINE...JUST SAYIN' - BEING A HORN PLAYER - I'D LOVE TO SEE THE HORN SECTION!!
Right on, Kamar.... The tenorist was on the back right, and the trumpeteer was on the back left. Couldn't place the bonist - probably behind the drummer!

Great
Bob McBride will be the only one to sing this in all it's glory~! Such a sad situation that he is not with us anymore! Why? The fucking drugs!
Anyone else is just an imitator. Bob sang this like nobody else could. I miss Bob McBride.
Its too bad Chicago and Lighthouse never played together at the same time.
Bob Mcbride is Lighthouse It died with him
He was great, but Skip Prokop and Paul Hoffert started Lighthouse, and sadly Skip died as well today
I'm here today , because of Skip :(
Luckily we have son Jamie to keep the Prokop magic alive with Lighthouse.
Should have stuck together a tad longer..they would have made it big time ala Chicago...shows they had the talent and the timing with the big brass sounds...good group .

where r the horn players?
are these guys original members ?
the drummer and guitar player are
Bob McBride was the Original Singer.
WTH----THE HORN SECTION??? COME ON!
For a Sound Academy, the recording quality/acoustics sure blows.
I wish they would come to our casino, but the idiots around here don't even know who they are and this came out when I was a toddler.
pathetic, god I miss Bob Mcbride
