The fact that this sequence isn't included in the main game is absolutely baffling. I mean, there's parts that'd need to be changed or removed, but it would've helped with the pacing of the already extremely short second half of the game, and would've been a fantastic complement to the opening act.
Ignis has to be one of the best characters in all of FF. Didn't like him at first but man, he is such a noble, dedicated friend one could ever hope to have
2:10 I love all four of these theme, but Prompto’s theme just hits different yknow...? Especially that drop, always pulls at my heartstrings like a guitar
@@RaijinGod-Indra considering even Nobuo himself said that Soken is a grand successor (and having cried and been hyped playing XIV), I’m inclined to agree
My favorite part is when they get to the Comrades theme section they basically play/lead Uematsu in via the Prelude and it's the best moment in the song for me every time I hear it.

the transition from prompto's theme to that of ignis is the most perfect thing i've ever heard hands down
"Come on let's move"
"Yeah yeah I'm coming"
"Sometime today?"
"Some things never change"
i like how this has Noctis, Gladio, Prompto and Ignis themes finishing with the most epic theme mashup Ive ever heard
Not a mashup
Its the comrades theme Choosing Hope
It took me embarrassingly long to realize when I was playing this mission that it was a mix of all the guys' songs from their episodes lol
Mission?
@@TheKnightsHand A mission in the comrades game.
Listening to this with a tear in my eye
Me too..... like this could of been in the main game
To think it’s got the main theme of each playable character before Episode Ardyn
Noctis
Gladiolus
Prompto
Ignis
& the glaive
4 years ago I cried for the story, 4 years later when I decided to clear the achievement I cried for the game still dropping fps on RTX2070 :(

I cannot image how much time and effort and thinking the producer had put onto this track.. Amazing work

This is literally one of the best piece of video game music I’ve ever heard in my life. And I played the Xenoblade games.

This should have been final Bahamut theme in Noctis DLC
If only we got it :(

For real that would been awesome with a mix of arydyn's theme too.
Wish Departures was in the main game. Noctis in Comrades is much harder to play as; feels like a weaker Glaive that can't be customized.
Noctis has kind of become the worst playable character. Really only Gladio is worse and Gladio is at least damn good at AP farming.

Don't really understand why so many medleys get left off official soundtracks.
This sounds like something out of the dawn of the future man. Holy shit, I wish they published this

Comrades is so underrated, almost was better than the original xD
