Who would have thought that the director of XIV and the Producer of XVI were so close and now we're getting a crossover of the two games. It's a shame we've never seen them in the same room together though, they have a lot in common.

I think the thing I love most is Ifrit's role in a lot of FF is the rebel of fate, he is often like in 15 punished in some way for rebeling against what he should be doing. It's why i think they make him an early summon so often. To have him aid the WoL in rebelling against a "fate" some greater being is trying to force upon them. Knowing 16s story it's just that much more fitting that our boy makes a return in the one being determined enough to stand against fate completely. Gods FF lore is so good.
Many of his lore actually borrowed from Prometheus, the Titan who gave humanity fire thus helping human to create civilization. It's the same in FFXV, a rebel to the Gods, just like Prometheus
15 Ifrit is big mad at the other gods for letting humanity torture and ultimately kill the mother goddess Eos. If it wasn't for Ifrit burning his own body with EOS The darkness would have consumed the world much sooner.

I found myself just unconsciously smiling when I finished this sequence because I knew I had just witnessed a masterpiece. FFXVI had wowed me a few times until that moment, but this was the moment I knew that it was really something special. The finale using this them when Clive absolutely smashed Ultima rounded the game out more satisfyingly than I ever could have guessed.
Videogames are one of the greatest forms of art. Acting is an art, and they are voice acted. Music is an art, and they have wonderful themes. Visuals are an art, and they have plenty that are amazing. If videogames are not art, then I don't know what is.
Loved the FFXIV x FFXVI event. Especially the Event Ifrit fight. The Retaliation Mechanic should be a part of the main combat system, would spice up the combat IMO. Also Torgal is now my main mount, just because of this song.
Ifrit was the first primal that the Warrior of Light has faced in FFXIV and now Shadow Ifrit will be the last in Endwalker, i think Bahamut, Garuda and Titan might appear too in the crossover
Ultima...Ultima...Ultima...you know the more i think about it he's pretty similar to the Ascian Altima. He might even be another creation of Lahabrea. Might be wrong but this feels like an extension of 14 meaning Clive may have some connection to the WoL and Ardbert. Before anyone says anything we know from 14 that the further a shard is from the source the weaker the Aether. Meaning although the first is similar it is possible a later shard would be so weak. That those born with mana would be rare and they would still struggle to handle ie. Well except for a shard of Azem of course.

A great song to listen to as you become the avatar of fiery doom. I would ride on my Torgal mount in 14 just to hear this song blasting away. Pity I can't play the game anymore when the Dawntrail patch broke it for me.
The voice acting for this game went as hard as the music. They didn't have to, but they did anyways. Hopefully with Square splitting from the Sony exclusive plan, more people will come to appreciate the cinematic beauty of this game.

When this game comes to PC I hope someone makes a mod to replace some of the other boss fight themes with this one. Titan lost in particular deserved this one
