Eh, it only really went from 1987 to 2001. After that the merger happened and a bunch of mediocre action games and MMOs killed it, skinned it, wore it's hide, and called themselves Final Fantasy.

XIV could be the best FF game ever made if it were just Shadowbringers alone, but it has 4 other expansions that are all great in their own ways too.

My opinion on every numbered title in the series: Type 0: An astrologians wet dream from what I remember. I: The pixel remakes do this justice, because I went back to the nes version and almost threw up from how little you're given. II: /\ but also never played it so not much more than the above. III: /\ IV: Has the most famous depiction of a dragoon, however the best depiction is clearly Estinien. V: Truly a Final fantasy. VI: I haven't touched this game and yet I'm already captivated by its visuals and narrative. VII: Obviously I'm not going to say anything negative about the game so here's a small factoid, I recently found out Cloud is a dark knight job, which means he is technically the tank. VIII: I'm genuinely scared off by this game by the character design alone, its too anime edgy, all I see in the 2 characters displayed is Rentaro from black bullet and Tifa 2: Aeris influenced you. IX: I wish this game was more popular, because its a genuinely good game, also if you like FFXIV's shadow bringer dlc you will absolutely recognise the parallel's. X: The first of many things including being released around the time of KH and thus somehow splitting the player base by not doing anything, anyway, a genuinely amazing story. XI: I wish I could insult you, but both XII and XIV, where both born out of you so thank you? XII: Speaking of XII, you definitely tried being the black sheep of the series, bland character design, the main character being unlikeable, every game after you devoted to lacking a proper Pirate job, not to mention the combat not only being unique but satisfying, Bahamut your good. Also Viera. XIII: I wish square stopped beating the dead horse that was your corpse, once was enough, also the first FF game I ever saw. XIV: Personally think this game is the worst thing imaginable, like who said make an MMORPG final fantasy game, ugh and there's no way anyone would want to play as any of their race's like what kind of species is an Au'ra anyway? XV: My first FF game, from my dad, in where I didn't read what the king weapons did, got pissed when I kept getting killed by trash level, and couldn't find my way around a cave, and then when I came back to it, not even a day later, to find my younger brother had decided to eject the disk and throw it onto a rough bristle floor mat, readable side down, I've never forgiven him to this day, and he keeps wondering how all his disks keep getting scratched up. XVI: I wish I had a strong enough system to run such a game, but from the gameplay I have seen it definitely seems like a really fun game.

That little Mithra looked like she threw a moon at her enemies so maybe her. Though Lightning has been in 3 of the games but Zidane did save all of reality in all universes from destruction in his game. I'm a Cecil fan personally though.

We have differente name in french version : FFII : Frioniel become Firion FFV : butz becomme Bartz FFVI : Tina become Terra FFIX : Zidane become Djidane Others is the same names.
Bartz and Terra is their localized names the trailer footage i used are from the JP square enix channel and its also why firions name is spelled differently
