I don’t care how fast DCT supercars are. I don’t care about paddle shifters. There is nothing better then a V10 or v12 supercar with a 6 speed manual.
True, DCT are for boys, manual is for the real men.
@@Kyzox2000 god what a cliche saying yes manuals are more engaging but autos can be just as fun wack it into manual mode there you go. And you can't deny the torque and pulls you get off an auto.. can't get that when you dip the clutch 😂😂
@@oppoh739 The sensation of controlling the clutch make you feel one with the car. The fact that you heel-toe, some times miss to rev match, sometime you do it better, it's just like a game! My daily is an auto but I definitely prefer a manual as a fun car for the specified reasons.
Same thing with acceleration and torque, accelerations are definitely fun but what's cooler is when calculating trajectories in the middle of an awesome mountain scenery with a high-revving manual!

@@benutzername100 I am not talking about V8s, neither bugattis or W16 BUT V10, that's in the R8. And that's an italian designed engine, that hasn't really changed dramatically in the 18 odd years that it exists.
@@benutzername100 Hmmm the 5.2L FSI V10 is actually based on the older 5.0L V10 which is a Lamborghini engine. The old 5.0L was later modified by Audi, who changed the firing order along with a few other things, and renamed it 5.2L FSI. It received a few updates along the years and is still in production today in both the Huracan and R8.
The RS3 engine is literally one bank of the 5.2L V10 - so you can effectively say the RS3's engine has italian roots.
@@nvl2691 The 5.2 l V10 in this R8 shares all of its internal dimensions with 4.2 V8 in RS4 so definitely not inspired from the Lamborghini 5.0 V10 ..you can watch jay Emm's analysis of the engine where he thoroughly explains that it's an Audi engine

@@matthewgwynne7874 Yes, you are right the engine is great, but the manual transmission isn't that great. Porsche's or Audi's newer munuals cars has way better paddle feedback and the shifts are sharper...

Wow, this is a rare gem!! A V10 powered R8 with a Spyder bodystyle and a 6-speed gated manual gearbox.
After all these years I never knew Audi offered a manual in the V10 models.

He seems to struggle with that gated gearbox... Always hitting that shoulder when shifting to 3rd...

Literally manuals are only dying in america everywhere in europe, africa, asia drive a manual. Manuals were never a thing in america so its normal that they are disappearing completely.
@@footballnotsooccer600 oh boy, they are 100% dying in europe to sort off, they still have a market share but it's for sure going down quicker in europe than the us. Many manufactorers don't even offer manuals as an option anymore let alone people actually chosing it.
Probably a bit too late as it hasn't been available for a while now with a manual. You should have bought it new a few years ago if you wanted to save them.

This American daily drives a manual, and I have driven three.
There's only two types of people: people who say this engine sounds amazing and people with very bad taste lol
amazing engine sound. Can't believe they put soft limiters on the newer ones with V10.
I think you can remove soft limiter
You can remove it thru a DSG/S-Tronic tune
@@denislovic Im not sure but even if you can, its really dumb for it to be there in the first place. It's a supercar with a V10. It would be ok if it was on a normal S model in a sedan or SUV but this is a supercar, you want to hear the engine. Same for all the RS models.
