I have a whole new appreciation for ugly items at thrift stores. Now I will look at lamps & vases to use this technique on. Thank you for inspiration!!
i thought the same exact thing! when she was moving the brush on the small vessel so quickly it didn't splatter on her shirt. Isn't that dumb that we thought of that instead of paying attention to her instructions? too funny
Trying this today. Using all the vases my hubby has given me throughout the years for Valentines. I was never able to throw those away because they were meaningful gifts, I just kept them in a cabinet. Now I get to transform them and actually display them! ❤️
Beautifully done!!! I love the use of the coffee grinds. I'm going to try that, and also try using a little cinnamon for an earthy clay/rust feel. Thank you for these awesome tips!!
I’ve been having so much fun recreating my glassware and it’s becoming a problem. Texture is the word! If you find a vessel put some texture on it. Loved the coffee grounds!!! 😊❤️😊
Haha 😂 same!!! It’s so easy and I love how every time you do it the vase is a little different and has its own character and texture!!! So glad you tried it!!
LOL, nothing is safe in my house now! I have a cashe of glass vases from flowers being delivered so they all have the potential of becoming a faux, ceramic vessel.
I have seen many of these but ur technique is really good. I like that u used coffee grounds instead of mud like others have and now especially in Canada... there is no mud... just heaps of snow...so thank u for the coffee grounds idea.
I like your calm, nice voice & how you showed how to be patient with the project. I like to finish the bottom of my vessels, but only because they are for re-sale. Also, sometimes, to save time & paint, I find that caulking sticks well to glass & you only need a thin coat to get instant bumps & grooves. I look forward to more of your videos.
Omg wow! I almost bought a similar vase today which was $129 au same size as yours. Now I’ve seen your video I’m gonna try it for sure. Thanks a million
Hello I've never work with Clay since grade school but this is something that I may want to try your things are beautiful I love clay products. Thank you for sharing
I love this upcycle idea. I thought it was going to just be the viral paint/baking soda technique. The spackling and coffee grinds make the perfect texture!!
I achieved a similar effect with a large Martinelli's Apple cider jug by painting the glass with off-white acrylic craft paint then sponging and wiping off gold acrylic craft paint afterwards. I finished it with adding sisal to the jug's neck. It turned out better than I expected. 🙂

Good morning I ove your technique most of the DIY’s out there required a texturized paint I did not want to expend money on , Thank you , Thank you ❤️🌺🌺🌸💙
I've done the baking soda mixed with paint, but not with the added spackle. Love that look better so will try on my next vessel. Also, I did a diy using dirt in place of coffee grounds then sprayed a matte finish over each vessel and they turned out very pretty. I had just bought some coffee grounds to try using on my next project and now that I've seen it done, I know it will work and I love it much better.
Hi Caro Rostran, I followed your video and made 2 white and 2 black vases. They turned out pretty good, but not as good as yours. I hope to see more of your videos soon. I love seeing how detail you are and going each process step by step. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is the first time I’ve seen your DYI I love it great Explanation of how you’re doing things in your presentation of things I just love how you’re doing everything thanks for your channel
Really great! Your explanation was so easy to follow. I plan to try this today on some small vases I have for my tiered tray. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Excellent! you did an awesome job! I came to YT looking for an easy way to do this and I found you! I watched 2 other vids but after watching yours I cancelled my Amazon order of RustOleum texture spray paint, so i can do your process instead!! #inspired❣
I love what you did here is currently doing a DIY using plaster for the vase of my vase and I think that the coffee rubbed in gives it such a rustic look. Thanks for the Inspo x
I've seen the paint & baking soda technique so many times & have tried a few of my own & they were just not quite the look I wanted. This is totally that old aged concrete look I was going for. Thanks so much Caro for the video! :-)
WOW !!! They came out so beautiful. I would not have thought to add the spackle. Thank you for sharing. Excited to see where you take your new channel. 😎
This was the best upcycled vase video I've seen! This was the look I was going for and everyone's was looking too DIY

Thank you for inspiration!!
I did this with a dollar store, plastic fruit bowl and put rope handles on it. Looks great as a coffee table center piece. 👍🏽
I love how even with black paint and coffee grounds, ur _white_ sweatshirt stayed so clean lol
i thought the same exact thing! when she was moving the brush on the small vessel so quickly it didn't splatter on her shirt. Isn't that dumb that we thought of that instead of paying attention to her instructions? too funny
That would never be me 🤣😂
When you have time to make more videos, we'll be here. Remember, we'd rather see a video so no worries on making it perfect. Love your vibe.

Love that you turned a bottle that would have been trash into art. I'm definitely doing this!!! Saving the planet and making it more beautiful!
You just saved me soooooo much money! I have so many glass vases and was thinking of buying stone vases. 😅 THANK YOU!
The spackle is a great idea to cover the lid threads on jars to hide !
The coffee grounds are such a great idea! It makes it look super realistic.
I think the wet coffee helped it look natural after wiping. Great job!
Easily this would cost 300
The "dirt" on the jug just makes it! ...and "doesn't have to be perfect..."? Yeah, I GOT this! TYFS. From the Southern California desert, MK 😁🌵
wow the little orb is adorb. these legit look old enough to be in a museum. good work!
