I got to see this plane years and years ago here in my city of las vegas when it was delievering a 180 ton transformer, what an incredible aircraft, you really cannot get a sense of just how extremely big this plane is until you see it for yourself in person, it's impressive.
One of the reasons why this is one of my favorite aircraft is because of it's shear size and beauty! Even as it turn off the departure leg, and flew far far away, it still looks massive! The AN-225 is definitely one of the biggest engineering marvels of our time!

Mrs V and me were enjoying a nice lunch in the garden of the Railway Hotel, Mobberley that day when the sky went suddenly dark. The massive bulk of the 225 rose above the trees as it climbed off runway 23R at Manchester. That bulk, and then the smoke from the 6 engines, kept us in the dark for quite a while!
People don't realize how big this honker really is. It dwarfs a 747. It is the largest airplane in operation today. Believe it or not, the infamous spruce goose is still bigger. Not as powerful, not given the piston driven engines of the day, but still larger in wingspan. Believe it or not, Rolls Royce Aircraft makes a jet engine big enough that one could power this thing. They would never do that, but it could. Two would be the minimum they'd ever use for saftey reasons.
I've had the honor of seeing both the 225, and the 124 take off from the airport I work at. the 225 only once, but I've seen the 124 four or 5 times in 25 years. It just baffled me how something that huge could get off the ground. I sincerely hope that they can build another beast like this once the war is over.

Люди а в нем и моя частичка труда заднее оперение (горизонтальное и вертикальное ) внутренние пилоны 3.4 двигателей , состыковка ФЮЗЕЛЯЖА на стапеле 1987 ГОД.
Дело было при СОЮЗЕ так что , вторая смена был коэффициент 1.5 , а ночная аж 2 , так что с радостью. Приходилось и по субботам выходить. Да по моему в 10 корпусе в Киеве , на авиазаводе стоит ВТОРАЯ машина со снятыми крыльями , но стоит ли ее собирать ВОПРОС , 225-й за час полета сжигает 18 тон топлива.

Yes I agree it's beautiful plane and only one in the world but renting costs are $30.000 per hour so I'm not sure who's going to pay enormous amount of money in any airshow around the globe. It is strategic cargo aircraft and costs are paid by the governments

I know there are other aircraft called "The Aluminum Overcast" but this is the real deal. It's the largest currently flying heavier than air, aircraft still in operation. It's tanks probably hold enough fuel to power all my cars for all the driving I've ever done in my whole life. I've been driving for 54 years now and expect at least another 10 or so.
From landing gear to top of the tail it's six stories high, with six of largest aircraft engine ever made. It was built to transport the Russian version of the space shuttle. Only 2 made, but only 1 in active service. It can carry the weight equivalent of a Boeing 747.
The flight was scheduled the day before my school went on a trip to manchester airport. Lucky the flight was delayed by a day and we got to see it depart

It won't happen for too many reasons. From inability of corrupt ukrainian state to specific usage of the aircraft which was designed as an aircraft carrier for Buran spacecraft. The smaller models of Antonov aircrafts might be created in future after reunification of Antonov company with Russia.
