Well, it's back, the largest plane in the world once again graces the British skies.
The Antonov AN-225 Mriya is the largest plane in the world and can carry up to 640 tonnes of cargo, the rare visit saw spotters from all corners of the UK coming to visit and see the monstrosity of this amazing piece of kit. The aircraft arrived on a 10 hour flight from Karachi, bringing in 3 RAF Puma's from Afghanistan. She arrived in Runway 07 due to taxiing restrictions, giving me a beautiful head on approach of her as she touched down. The Police did try to move people on claiming we couldn't stand between the road runway lights, however no one really took any notice and carried on anyway.
3 hours later, she was finally closed up and taxied out to depart 25, giving off a very powerful jetblast which dessimated the perimeter fence, much to the RAF's disappointment, beautiful sunset skies as she departed, such an amazing aircraft to see
Overall a fantastic catch, so far a great month as well with two of the world's most known aircraft visiting the UK, being the AN225 and Air Force One. I'm glad to of finally reunited with the 225 after 3 years since her last visit to Brize. It always is a breathtaking experience to watch

Die Königin der Lüfte!
Amazing footage Casey ! I'm very glad that you did filmed her arrival too. We had a great day !
She was the queen of airplanes
and she appears to me from the front
like a big, good-natured bird.
This damn war. Only brings out the worst in people.
Take care, Antonov 225.
You won´t be forgotten.

The AN-225 is an absolute monstrosity, holy cow!
Sure is, thanks for watching :)
That plane is truely stunnig. Even a 747-400F is no match for this monster!
The Boeing 747 does not match the size of the Ukrainian Mriya. But he is a giant in cutting- edge system and technology.Ukrainian giant Mriya far from such a system.
Just the most amazing piece of engineering, a true goliath
14:20 - 14:45 : the most beautiful moment to see the plane's take off silhouette.
Not every fence can withstand the takeoff of the AN-225 MRIYA...😆😆😆
A slightly reluctant landing. I was there and I was impressed how quickly it came to a stop
Best plane ever I walked through it massive is a understatement
I love how its wings unflex after it lands
Ur right there is no bend like the a350
Beautiful capturing ❤
Thank you :)
Fascinating n a beautifully graceful behemoth of an aeroplane!
That thing gets airborne fast.
Yo I saw this on flight radar. Nice catch bro 👍
Knew this was coming! Incredible job Casey!
Thanks :)
Awesome 👍
I want one... LOL.. Thanks for the GREAT footage good sir! Much respect and support from Yuma, AZ. 👍👍
Taxiing out of the F**E* ramp in Memphis a few years back I had an FAA inspector on board who was giving a "line check" to the Manager of Flight Standards, who, in turn, was giving his line check to one of the regular LCA's, who was giving a line check to ME. No worries there RIGHT! As we taxied south for a north departure on 36R, I happened to glance to my left and see an AN 225 parked on the ramp not far away. Realizing that the rest of my "crew" were absorbed in other duties, and NOT wanting to break the "sterile cockpit" environment (no unnecessary talking), I said, "Do you think we are clear on the left?" All eyes were then averted to the left and, well, sterile cockpit got violated. It was a good check ride.
Nice catch & Beautiful! 🤩🤩😍❤❤👍
This girl nearly destroyed the fence, no wonder her chief pilot said she had a taking off profile of a destroyer (when offloaded).
Cheers from Kyiv )
Amazing footage Casey! I’m glad you recorded her arrive
Сan I take a few pieces from your video about the An-225? The link to your channel will be in the video description. And if necessary - in the video itself.
We want to make a short video on Dmitry Antonov's channel about how the fence flew away.

Amazing aircraft!!
Amazing
Absolutely fabulous... Thank you!
I'm currently binge watching any footage of the AN-225 Mriya at Brize Norton and this is some lovely quality footage. I've yet to see her up close and personal (which will make my life 😆) but for now, these will suffice 👍😆
fantastic moment,,,great video friend....stay safe.
He blew down the fence!
Yep, sheer power!
awesome.
She got a bit sideways taxiing back to the runway. According to Captain Antonov, the hardest aspect about the AN-225 is controlling her on the ground. Has a tendency to keep going straight when you want to turn and from this video, a little crosswind while taxiing is enough to get her drifting at 40kph. They will often use thrust on one side to help her turn, also applying brakes on the side they want to turn toward.
Mriya, RIP 😢
Wow
I saw it as it was on final approach and taking off on flight radar 24. Great catch mate!
Same here
Thank you :)
Amazing footage Casey what an awesome aircraft as you hinted half the world turned up to see it would love to have been there, but I know that parking is an issue and I don’t like crowds that much (value my personal space). Not surprised the police tried to move people on could cause problems in future for spotters.👍👏
They were requested by ATC to do so, and yeah a lot of people parked sensibly in the town and walked up
@@CPlanespotting yes I think the issue is people standing or parking between the traffic lights shame a farmer hasn't thought about putting some land aside as a viewing area throw in a burger van and your on to a good thing👍👌
@@ianstewartaviation2634 yes, Farmer thinks GBP/$$$. Local authority thinks planning permission, permits, approval, controversy, protests, value added tax, property tax increase, business tax. Ah well nice thought to start with.
@@anglosaxon1622 Yes you have a good point there 🤔

Sad to see this wish it was still flying
Where did you go to see this monster!
Brize Norton, as indicated in the title
The 3 Pumas are not really an issue in case of weight. A fully operational Puma weight approx. 4500kg empty. So 3 choppers 13,500 kg. Maybe some extra equipment and some stuff...so we say 15-20t. Thats absolutely nothing for the An-225! Thats the reason why the takeoff was so fast. It carry more weight in form of fuel than payload^^ Around 20t/h fuel burn! In terms of the enviroment its an desaster but i love it and the great rusty smoke from its 6x230KN engines! And the engines need to warm up few minutes but not with full thrust. Its around 40-50%. Anybody with more details with the warm up procedure? And yep i know the An-225 is destroyed...
Just wondering if it’s economic to mount modern more efficient and cleaner engines on this marvelous beast?
Csn you please name me the main Airbus and Boeing models built? Just the passenger ones please? Thank you, hope you are doing well mate.
That's one way how to demolish a fence
