UPDATE: I finally got my new Luna exclusive Kjarr Ice CB build together and despite not being a speedrunner I managed to get a 3 '57 on Tempered Lunastra here's the build incase anyone reading this wants to try it has the gear and wants to try it Kjarr Strongarm Ice +1 Frost deco Kaiser Crown Y +2 Wind Resist decos Damascus Mail b + 3 Frost decos Kaiser Vambraces Y Wind Resist deco Kushala Cocoon Y + 2 Frost decos Kaiser Greaves Y Charger and Ironwall decos Handicraft Charm 3
Ahh 😥 900+ hours in and I return to this video for reference after facing her with the full Geralt armor and my Longsword only to realise that my Kjarr "Ice" CB build has WeX and 447 Defence (the 3 Kaiser + Damascus chest and Kulve Y waist setup) when WeX isn't the best choice against Luna and 447 Defence is just asking to be carted *facepalm* welp time for new builds and test runs yay! 😑
Just faced Lunastra for the first time... Now I know how cats toys must feel.. Watching this gives me hope I will.. Someday... Beat her... Sometime... Somewhere.. Maybe...
Okay I have to ask this....When I use the Golden Diablos Charge Blade which is Ice Elemented by the way or the rarity 8 Taroth version of the K.S.I how come when I use the S.A.E.D. and all of it other charge attacks its just regular lightning, but whenever I see the K.S.I (the weapon used in the video) how come all of its charge attacks and it's A.E.D and its S.A.E.D is straight up An Ice Geyser? Can someone please explain?

Dude, you're wearing the AT teostra gear. There's a lot of us who haven't gotten the set. This is not a good video for people who are trying to learn how to beat teostra without the gamma gear for teostra.
@@victoralvarado36 lunastra is not teostra first of all different armor set and speedruns are runs in which you kill the monster in the fastest way with the respective weapon and best possible armor skillwise this isnt realy about skill especially considering he uses rocksteady and just spams attacks on luna xD
This game became less skill based.....more tank based. Dont get me wrong your gameplay was really good. But in previous monster hunter, speed runs were about skill, timing the monster attacks, perfect dodges, learning the monster but in world the monsters got bullshit, especially these arch tempered ones....why do we need health augs, why we need something like a rocksteady mantle or temporal mantles.....its because they made monsters unfair, base game was ridiculously easy.....end game is jewel farming in world.....fight the same fucking 5 elder dragons over and over again....it burnt me out of the game....i dont know how many times i killed these dragon arch tempered ones.....its insane. I did not buy iceborne because of this, it already burned me so much i dont like playing it myself.....thats why i watch it instead. I didnt used to speedrun because i could not do it without the mantles and augs and i also prefer being solo....thats why i prefer the old games. I am concerned about the future of the game......not many can solo these bullshit monsters......they are emphasizing too much on making it multiplayer. I hope people understand this is my opinion.

One is an impact phial attack and the kjarr is elemental discharge phial attack.

Lunastra's flame aura does a lot of chip damage over time, makes Latent Power worth using because it will proc more often
