But watching this again, the run that made me a charge blade main and that showed me hunts can be more than just chasing a monster around. That a hunt can be a dance. And that one man is more than enough.

But what made me think he is a true and best CB main is the fact that he knew when he couldn’t use SAED and instead went for AED for the KO into SAED. Most CB users would just try SAED without even thinking of AED. Guard points were on point though.
@@KimoLaChrizz pull left analog stick back(according to where your character is facing) and press triangle at start-up animation of SAED and it'll go to AED instead, very handy BTW.
guard point refers to a charge blade mechanic. Essentially there are moves that leave the shield out at the end of the animation, its properties are faster recovery and the ability to go into Saed right away. There are three guard points but the go to one is r2 triangle.
Cameron Todd pardon but what button is he actually pressing in that one ? O or Triangle ? Im actually new to cb and my combos are not fluid since the only thing I do is charged double slash > shield thrust > charge my shield > repeat charge > charge sword > saed
@@Kryptonaaayt he is pressing tringle and R2. When you hold regular R2 it does a standard shield but the only reason u press triangle and R2 is because that's how u transform into the axemode but in the animation when u put your sword into the shield u have a guard point

I don't think I've seen a CB TA before, I was very curious to see how a skilled player uses CB and I think I've learned a ton from watching this. I feel inspired to practice now, haha
instead of looking for a guard point tutorial, we all should look for a "Rainy Tutorial" video, everything you want to look for is in this video: AT Teostra, Chargeblade, Guardpoint Showcase, Skill Showcase.. wtf reaction.. if you can't find what you are looking for in this video, then you probably put in Long Sword or any of those other weapons instead of the charge blade lolz.. A BIG thanks to this guy xD i've been trying to slay this AT Teostra for so many hours. I Managed to kill him by trying his GuardPoint skills xD cuz i was kinda afraid to stand in front of his face most of the time xD.
Was wondering if there's any safe SAEDs in end game as I noticed that monsters such as Luna and AT Teo leave few openings for big hits and I end up trading hits with them unless they flinch. Even after the flamethrower move GP -> SAED the recovery animation is too long and you'll eat a follow up unless you flinch the monster. Any suggestions on dealing with that? I feel like the only way for guaranteed SAEDs without taking too much dmg and getting flung around is rock steady mantle or just playing solo and making sure you hit the monster square in the face. Also at 4:02 you clearly guard pointed that but got hit anyways - I also kept getting hit by that despite GPing it, just wondering if it's a known hit box issue or is it because Teo clips to your rear during the move? Regardless, the GPing in this video was music to my ears. GJ.
CB noob here, how is he doing the spinning slash without doing any previous attack? I always need to do at least 2 weak slashes before it or one charged slash. Is it the guard point? Whenever I attack after I guardpoint I just SAED or morph...
I didnt know you could get impact phials to hit over 100 hundred damage? Hory shet. lvl 5 attack boost and lvl 3 artillery I assume does this? Oh btw I come to this video for inspiration to get better at charge blade you absolute fucking god. Magnificent.

I'm still relatively new to the game so I don't know about any skill combinations. Is this just a Armour skillet or am I missing a very basic skill that allows you to charge your shield before using an amplified discharge?
After every GP, press triangle and circle and it will give you the AED/SAED animation, pressing R2 while animation will do a spinning roundslash that will charge ur shield (doing so will increase overall atk power, and axe mode too) as long as ur phials are charged, anytime ur on AED/SAED animation it CAN be cancelled to a Shield Charge
