I like my teacher, but I wish he would be more direct about what this type of essay is. I take notes on what he’s saying, but then I read my notes and it makes no sense. He goes off topic on random tangents and I get lost in what we’re even talking about so thank you lol

Whatever essay your write; you must have knowledge of topic subject before anything else. For example: making syrup. I only know put sugar in hot water or boiling water and stir them till the sugar and water blended together; the water becomes a little sticky and that's it! I know nothing about the SAP or sap tree etc....With very little knowledge of syrup can I write a good essay? I very much doubted!
