Opinion Essay or Persuasive Essay

Esse video é muito bom e realmente útil (Estou feliz pela minha professora ter feito eu assistir isso), no entanto, aqui para meus colegas estudantes que não são muito bons no inglês, as respostas para as atividades:
1. Responda V ou F:
a. (V) O apresentador chama um artigo de opinião de “opinion essay”.
b. (F) Tem que ser sobre um tópico controverso
c. (F) Você tem que apoiar sua opinião
d. (F) Você precisa convencer o leitor
e. (V) Tome uma posição clara, não fique em cima do muro.
f. (V) Seja claro no que disser.
g. (V) Pense nas pessoas que vão ler. Quem são?
h. (V) Tem que começar com algo que seja interessante, um gancho (HOOK).
i. (V) É importante dar o pano de fundo para o leitor entender.
j. (V) Sua tese é a parte principal - a sua opinião.
2. Responda:
a. Quantos parágrafos são necessários no corpo do texto? Pode ser um ou até mesmo três parágrafos, dependendo do requerimento do texto.
b. É necessário dar razões e detalhes para apoiar sua posição? Por que? Sim, para ter um argumento forte você deve ter no mínimo três boas razões para suportar sua opinião, caso contrário, seria um argumento fraco.
c. Qual é o tema do texto do apresentador do vídeo?
Atletas que usam drogas para aumento de desempenho deveriam ser banidos do esporte para sempre.
d. Qual é a opinião dele?
Ele tem a opinião de que se esses atletas receberem uma punição tão severa, outros atletas irão evitar cometer os mesmos erros, deixando o esporte mais justo.
e. Por que é necessário dar o contra-argumento?
Para, ao responder os contra-argumentos, provar que sua opinião é mais forte.
Espero ter ajudado vocês pessoal, eu realmente gostaria que alguém tivesse colocado as respostas aqui antes. No entanto, o vídeo é muito informativo e caso você entenda pelo menos o básico do inglês, tente assistir, pode ajudar em futuros trabalhos :)

Thanx for this video! ;-) However, as an ELT I disagree with the statement that the opinion essay is also known as the argumentative/persuasive essay. These are two different styles differing in the use of language (linking words, persuasive expressions, etc.), and style (use of logic and reason, convincing facts, etc.). Just to make things clear :-D Thanx a lot for this review!

I have always thought opinion essay was the same as argumentative essay and the different one was the for and against essay.

Ele basicamente fala que você precisa ser persuasivo, escrever de forma clara, abordar um tópico controverso, pensar no público que quer atingir e que o ideal é começar com um gancho (algo interessante). No fim ele conta a estrutura do artigo. Ele precisa ser direto e com muitos detalhes

Very helpful video! I recently bombed a persuasive essay in my LAR class. From your video, I can see that I lacked a carefully defined stance, probable some clarity in the rest of my essay, and also counter-arguments.
