This video was SO nostalgic, Wii Sports was the first game I ever owned and I played it all the time.

The opening theme alone gives me a nostalgia burst. Takes me back like a time machine man.
This is what began my love for Nintendo. I still remember the Christmas that I got the Wii from my Aunt, and it was my first console.

I remember getting the wii on day one while on a trip to the USA and then coming back to my third world country to have stupid amounts of people coming over to play.
Basically all the kids in the block would come over for a few weeks just to play wii sports for a bit. I don’t blame them wii sports has such an unique charm to it it’ll always be one of my favorites
I live in Estonia and this was me since not many people could afford a Wii in my country but my parents were pretty rich so I got a Wii with Wii Sports, Rayman Raving Rabbids and Wii Play

For me the greatest console ever made. It achieved everything perfectly. Build quality tough. Size perfect plus adaptable. Colours to choose. Variety of games to suit every preference. Accessories galore if you fancied. Little touches endlessly. I could never understand why millions bought it then a couple of years later got rid. Perfect console while all the pandemic is happening.
Long live the Wii.
Throwback! My family and I played this a lot back when the pandemic started! We even bought a projector and put it up on a white sheet so we could play in the driveway. It’s a really fun and special game that I will remember playing as a kid, when I was captivated by motion controls. But now I’ll also remember it fondly as something I played during 2020. I wish this version had online, play; would love to throw down with you in tennis haha.
I remember watching a news report about a nursing home that had a Wii bowling league. That's why the Wii was so great. Anybody could pick it up and play.

Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii, and Lego Star Wars TCS are all games I consider my childhood games. So nostalgic and I have to Thank Nintendo for a great childhood filled with great games.

There already was one, it wasn’t a Nostalgia Rewind but it was a video called “The History of Wuhu Island” which already covers a lot of Wii Sports Resort, though we still may get a Wii Sports Resort Nostalgia Rewind

When I was a kid, I got a perfect game in bowling. A 300! I still think about that to this day.

Sure, Tennis makes the most sense as a sport in Wii Sports and is probably the simplest to understand, but Bowling is literally so iconic that some people literally bought Wiis just to play it! On a slightly more positive note though, I just want to say that I just found your channel, and think it's SEVERELY underrated. Even though I think you could work on your delivery a bit (you sound a little robotic), you deserve WAY more than just 16,000 subs. Keep the great content coming!

Dude, this game was my childhood. I used to play bowling with my friends, get some strikes, have fun and just have some plain laughter when we got 0 pins. But i still have it today, and after watching your video, i'm playing it a lot more. So thank you Nintendo Hero, for giving me a rush of nostalgia and making me remember all those things.
Man my great grandmother from the age 90 to 97 played Wii sports bowling with me until she was chilling in a wheelchair just flicking her wrist lmao thank you for this :)

I love how almost every episode is for a WII game
I was never allowed to play gory war games when I was growing up so while everyone was playing call of duty, I was practically living off of wii sports during my childhood. At the time I absolutely loved wii sports but because I felt left out I was annoyed at my mum but now I realise I never should’ve taken them for granted because I’m absolutely addicted to wii sports games now, and they absolutely shaped my childhood. playing wii sports with my family is the thing that first pops into mind when someone asks me about my childhood
thank you so much for making this video. my childhood was basically wii sports and the resort version. While i was watching this i remembered all the good memories i shared with my older brothers and parents with this game. this game really brought a huge connection with my family and it brought us closer by playing wii. so again, thank you so much for this.

I love Wii sports so much that I cried when I played it after 6 years
Now that I have a homebrewed Wii with all the WiiConnect and WiiLink services working, I can confidently say without a shadow of a doubt that the Wii is my favorite console. Games are entertainment first, and the Wii did that in spades. I will never sell my Wii again. No other console makes me feel the way the Wii does. Not even the Switch.
I’m not a boxing or baseball person, but Golf and Bowling will never get old for me.
These rewinds really miss the fun and prominence that Miis had. The essential shoving them into the closet is one of the biggest things I wish were different about the Switch.

I loved getting back from school and running to turn on that wii to play wii sports (resort) especially boxing!! it has got to be the reason why i got so agressive. I really miss the wii, we got a new television which was too new for the wii to work sadly, we had 2. One with games already on it and one we really had to put a disk in!
I remember when my grandmother introduced to me her wii with Wii Sports, I remember being so amazed with the motion controls of the wii and playing the game for hours and hours and hours, Thanks You for the nostalgia Rewind!
Fun fact: I THINK that blue court in tennis is actually the tennis court in Wii Sports Resort, so that’s neat.

Ok, I know this is off topic, but I remember a while back you made a Wuhu Island history video, where you said you really wanted to have a free-roam game on it. I have news. The VR game Blade & Sorcery has a mod which includes a complete recreation of Wuhu Island which is completely explorable with no time limits or boundaries. While it requires a VR headset, it’s a super fun mod which lets you really experience and explore Wuhu Island.
I played this all of the time when i was a kid and got a perfect score on wii bowling! Good Times😀

My little sister put a waffle in the disc tray of my Wii 8 years ago and i never got to play that Wii again and lost all my progress on so many games.

(UK) I remember getting the wii for Christmas back in 2006, I was 7 (where did the time go😢) I remember I used to play wii sports with my grandparents and my dad. This brings back so many memories (good memories) from a life much simpler. It makes me cry thinking about it, it was one of the only things me and my granddad really connected over and now he’s in a hospice with Alzheimer’s and doesn’t even recognise my face. But if I play the theme to the Wii sports menu on UA-cam on my phone he starts laughing and tearing up. Breaks my heart 😭😭😭

I actually listen to 2 songs on spotify that are about Nintendo lol. One song is Wii Tennis by Splash Daddy; the other is Animal Crossing Freestyle by Ben Yen. If you enjoy chill songs that have a meme attitude, I recoommend them haha. Kinda funny since New Horizons is my first Animal Crossing game. 😅

Wii Sports always felt more mature than Resort to me, but I kind of liked it for that. I think it was down to the presentation, fitness training, and the sports included in the game.

I've spent so much time making a full cinematic universe worth of miis with my friends just so we could make them fight in boxing.
I always tried to hit the bricks in the wall in target practice so that the wall got holes.
This makes me cry I honestly started with the new wii sports made in 2009 but ended up getting the other one as well. Life was so fun we would just play wii sports and Minecraft not worrying about nothing else. This world has ruined a lot for me but it can’t take wii sports away from me

A few of these like with both boxing and the tennis, I never noticed that as you went up in the ranks, so did the size of the crowd size.
This game is so nostalgic to me I decided to take up Speedrunning the game (especially bowling) and various other Wii series titles. It's actually really run and a lot different from running your average Mario 64 or OOT.
Also in terms of your disliking of baseball due to the luck factor the main category in the category extensions page for Wii Sports is named 'All Sports No Baseball' which takes 'All Sports' (the main category) and just removes baseball with no other changes, so your opinion is definitely agreed with the majority.
The luck in bowling is also applies, however there are setups that greatly increase your chances of strikes. The 8 pin is easily the most luck dependant and the only thing preventing me from breaking the 5 game barrier for reaching pro status in the Pro Status Bowling category.
