Awesome tips! I wish I can implement all your advice! I loved the way you interpreted people's attitude to enjoy a free downloaded eBook and forget to leave a review. I also liked the way you stand for your right to politely ask for a review. I appreciate the fact that your tips don't go against rules (e.g., AMZ rules), even when respecting them is harder. Hat up!
@@kenthawkins I still use these in book launches as a part of many tactics employed. Other tactics include Amazon Ads, Blog review sites, ARC teams, author networking and list exchanges, Bookbub ads, etc...
@@kenthawkins I actually have an article on ARC teams coming out Thursday on Kindlepreneur - and they definitely are a big part of building an email list. But also, what you offer to current readers is a big part too.
You mentioned book promotion sites. Do you have any recommendations for non-fiction books? This seems to be a bit more nuanced when it comes to successful promotions.
In the description under the video I have a list of promotion sites - but none that I would say are the best for 'non-fiction.' I say that because results have been all over the place for many...and sometimes they ebb and flow with the time.
Dave, your resources link in the video description is broken. I found the resources page by navigating your site, as it's very intuitive, but I just thought you might like to know.
If you're doing a free promotion, yes. But there are other promotions that don't require them to be free in order to doing promotions. It's just one peice of it.
@@Kindlepreneur That's very true--I was just being specific about the free downloads as a promotion. I've advertised it through social media and given away a ton of books myself, though!
The promotion sites that I talk about in the video will send an email to their subscribers...called an "email blast." Just click the link in the video and you can see my list of sites that will do that for you (free and paid).
Wow!
The way you break down complex stuff for those of us who are not so technical to understand is breath-taking.
Keep up the good work, Dave.
Much appreciated!
Awesome information, Dave. Thanks!
I love your videos!! My book got up to place 52 on my category on amazon after 2 weeks of launching
Oh wow!

Thanks, Dave, great advice which I'll be taking.
Great video as always! I'll be employing these tactics as part of my book launch.
Thanks sooooo much! This the best, coherent and truly caring overview of what to do with marketing my first kids book! 😊❤️
Thanks, Dave for all your good work, and thanks so much for sharing valuable information. Highly appreciated!
Glad to help :)
Love your videos!! following your technics I got to the best sellers list on my category
That is awesome!
Excellent. Thanks.
Dave's the best - remember to Subscribe. Go Navy!
Big thumbs up on that :)

Glad to have helped!
Thank you so much. Good info.
Dave,great stuff, good video
Awesome and glad to have helped.
Awesome tips. Thank you very much ( signed maiden children's book author).
You're very welcome!
Awesome! Love the review counting on Amazon despite the book being free.
Thanks and yeah, that's a big part of it.
You are awesome! I'm addicted!
Thanks and that's awesome!
Great tips! Have you ever found that when you change your book's price it goes to unavailable for DAYS at a time? It's happened to me twice!
Wow...no I haven't.
Thank you for video. But what I have to do with a coloring book for adult? It's very popular now but it's only "Paperback"
Hi Dave, many thanks for all the info you provide in your videos. Is the information about scheduling still valid in 2020?
It is, but the tactic as a whole isn't as powerful as it used to be.
@@Kindlepreneur Do you recommend a different tactic now?
@@kenthawkins I still use these in book launches as a part of many tactics employed. Other tactics include Amazon Ads, Blog review sites, ARC teams, author networking and list exchanges, Bookbub ads, etc...
@@Kindlepreneur Great, thanks so much. What are ARC Teams and how have you built your email lists mostly?

Wow - thanks for that heads up. Just created a pretty link to auto redirect that link to the right page. Thanks!
This one is best
Thanks!
Hey Dave, I just read in Amazon that the reviewer has had to previously spent $50 in order to leave a review....did I get that right?
Yup!
Unfortunately, this only works if you're in KDP Select--if you sell your book anywhere but Amazon, you cannot make your book free as a promotion.

Do these strategies still work in 2020?
Yes, but not as good as they used to.
@@Kindlepreneur Thanks for taking the time to reply to such an old thread!
@@johncressmanci No problem
How do I set up an email blast? Are there companies that specialize in this?
