In the 80s the tunnel at the park used to have running water we'd catch crawfish and probably cought some other stuff we didn't know about .we would walk in the tunnel pretty far water was 2 feet or so . now it's dry and a mess

When I first came across motovlogs a few years ago I subscribed to half a dozen channels and over time unsubscribed to all of them but yours. I'm sure there are lots of other motovloggers whose editing style, content, and voice-over narration are similar to yours upon first glance, but you impress me as someone who's doing it more because you like it than for the attention it inevitably brings. I enjoy the local history component to your videos too.

I would imagine being an ambulance driver in San Ber-nar-dee-noe is quite a hectic job. Good on that guy for doing something I never could, or would.
Try to dig the clean repeatable signals. Turn 90 degrees around the signal, if it still sounds good dig. That should avoid most nails. I've never used the Vanquish 540 but I have many other metal detectors. You can look on the metal detecting forums and find some tips for the vanquish.

9th and lugo at the end of the street there's a Field north next to the Jewish part of the cemetery. Can access from 9th next to genes liquor store
Just so you know, the "brick" around that hitching post, is modern pressed concrete. The street, with a post, would have been dirt back then. Likely, the Historical Society reinstalled the post into the concrete at a much later date. Like us here, up in SLO, where there were paved streets and hitching posts, the post would be in the curb, and not the walk. My old house is in a preserved historic district, with both, posts and hitching rings in the curbs. Could have been different in San Berdoo, but I've seen lots of old towns, and their posts are in the street, or in the curb.

Derek if you hit the all-metal button you can quickly hear if it's metal or not. Say if you are in coin or jewelry mode and you get a nice tone, hit it quick and if you don't hear any metal sound you just go back to the previous mode and you can dig it up. Sorry for my bad grammar but I'm from Scandinavia. I would love to share some tips with you over discord or whatever you use. Nice video man!
I grew up in San Bernardino from age 5 in 1959 until after High School. Parents got divorced in 1959. Mother and step dad moved to SB so spent half the year in SB. Saw many changes. I watch you to see changes.

You should find out where the fair sets up....people always drop stuff around vendors, upside down on rides, and of course at the local beer tent. If you guys get the travelling fairs, that is....

You need to get out in the country side where the dirt hasn't been messed with so much. When I was a kid we used to be able to go out on the fields after the farmers plowed and dig up arrow heads and the like.

Did you know there is an old theater just west of the old courthouse. It's called the Fox and i believe it's owned by American Sports University. It's a very old theater if they let you see it, that would be great.

On the new iphone update they added a translator app that you can talk in. you select the 2 languages and then you press the speech button, then it will pick up what ever language it hears and translate it. you might be able to use this on flute man to have a convo with him

Fyi ambulances use a Whelen 295 series or the Alpha/Beta sirens. Not an Epsilon. To my knowledge the Epsilon isnt dual tone.
Ya it's one of those, I just refer to the tones as epsilon tones lol.
@@bakerXderek Lol. I feel ya. The cool thing about the newer Whelen sirens is that most of them are able to play any tone that Whelen currently offers. Including the post-lawsuit Unitrol tones along with a "Q" tone.
Fine brush some paint stripper on the tagging. I've done it to some local historical stuff and the one time an officer came up he gave me a big old handshake and thanked me.
But now handshakes are a no no.

Have you managed to really check 3rd street? Some historic articles say that San Bernadino’s Chinatown was along third st between Arrowhead and Sierra way.
Dig everything from 40 to 90. You just picking the rusted nails which gives you deep signal and they keep fucking with the metal detectors brain. I don't think there are coins that gives 20+ signal. Coins where I live are from 50 to 80. Good luck!
