California Beach Detecting - summer begins!

- After 2-1/2 months, I was finally given the medical OK for unrestricted walking. I went back to the scene of my knee-breaking detecting injury for a trial-run hunt with my Manticore. The knee was perfect - but I hardly found anything! The few finds seemed to be old drops except for a set of keys.
I plan to detect weekly during the summer. Not every hunt will merit a video. And even my 'best' ones are unlikely to feature anywhere near the amount of precious metal finds common to many SoCal detecting channels. 🤪
I'm more active in the off season; fewer crowds, cheaper hotel rooms for detecting expeditions. More-better-scenic videos should result then.

Thanks Tommy! I got the Dr's "go-ahead," a week early. This video was a trial run to test the knee. All OK! I hope to start finding more/better stuff to show. 🤪
Hey Ken, great the knee had no problems 👍 the mermaid statue was donated by the family there's another one on the other side. He bought them for his yard and the wife "! The other side of the harbor is a good place to detect, especially in the summer. Free parking...lol! See you soon 👍😎
Hi Ray! I've been eyeing the other side & its statue for the last year. The one time I actually got there, the only 2 people there were REALLY OLD detectorists with ancient machines. I didn't think they'd like it if I popped in with a Manticore so I went to another beach. 🤪
