ye lol seeing u ride at night glad it's a well payed job, congrats and GLHF P.S. I was hungry and i'm having breakfast for dinner haha eating cereals at fking 1am watching this XD I was supposed to have late afternoon shift but colleague is sick and going today morning well at 12:00
Tunnel exhaust!? Us OG's just teared up remembering the ole 636 screamer 😢😢😢 been round since like 2011, miss the Me gusta intros but we all get to see you land a badass job and winning brother.
Hearing you say you had that bike for 9 years now was a hit to the chest. I remember when you got that bike. I started watching you in like 7th or 8th grade and now I have a son with my fiancé. Crazy how time flies by.
Thanks for still making videos brother, you basically taught me how to ride my 04 zx 6R about 10yrs ago in a how to ride video. Appreciate you ! CHEAH !
Oof. I used to commute an hour 15 one way going to and from work at my last job. So many times in the city the ramps/interchanges I needed to take to get home would be closed when I’d leave at 10pm and it was always a headache. I always rode my motorcycle to save on fuel since it was a 150 miles round trip. There was one week going home at night where three days in a row there was a nice cars trying to race me. The first night it was a corvette, the second night it was an Audi r8. Beat em both! The third night there was a charger, and he was moving quick up In the distance, and of course I wanted some action. This thing was blacked out and sounded loud too. He got caught at a red light so I caught up and pulled up next to him. Gave it some gusto once the light turned green, and he did too; then he lagged behind and flipped on the red and blues. I slowed down, and he turned them off and passed me. Literally had no indications on the car that would have made it out to be a cop car. I got off easy that night!
I remember working 4 10's in my early 20's. 3:30p to 2am M-Thurs. Times when things were much simpler for me. Congrats on the new job bro! make that $$$.
Ive been in a warehouse job for 9 years now. Started as a picker, checker, driver, janitor, qc and now a technician. I fix conveyers and those Crown equipment. You can learn a lot
Love that you just keep uploading all these years later. I work around the corner from you, so I might see you around on your way in. Keep it up Derek! CHEAHH!!!
Jesus I used to watch your vids over 10 years ago. For some reason I heard your voice in my head when paying for petrol (I’m from England) “dollhairs” I though what are the chances that guy makes vids still. Searched dollhairs in utube and here you are. Happy to see you still here and still riding
Nothing like catching a video talking about getting out an hour early. While i have hours left in my shift with my bike in the parking lot calling my name.
I got flat feet too man. Though I ended up with plantar fasciitis "Heal Spurs" from my feet hitting the hard pavement so much. Might be good to look into a Foot Doc and have them check you maybe set you up with some molded supports for you. I also this weekend have had to deal with freeway closures west and east on the 202 freeway here as we as the I 10 freeway here in AZ. Its been a pain.
Maaaan thank you for posting videos and being a clown like myself 😂 I've been watching for years. I used to ride until someone turned in front of me and I took a nap for a few weeks. Seeing the new videos is awesome cause it's reminiscing, especially dark time. Best time to ride is dark time unless its cold. STAY UP🤙👌👌👌✌️
Warehouse picker is an extreme way to re-enter the work force! I did the exact same thing and I quit after 2 weeks. Not only is it hell on your body but the headset and the constant honking of pallet jacks and forklifts was soul crushing.
I used to unload trucks. heavy boxes weren't that big a deal, but when they are f-huge and I can barely get my little t-rex arms around it, then it's a problem. 100lbs box of nails is different than a 100lbs boxed portable table saw
Can't wait to see a Kawi H2 on the channel after working the picking job for a few months! 😛. I liked to chill watching you videos a couple years back dude. Look forward to the new vids :)
The tunnel exhaust was💯🔥🔥! This sucks royally having your exit closed off in the middle of the night. I’m glad that u and Sub D r still pumping out content, but I miss Arson and Kat on UA-cam.
My buddy works for a restaurant supply distributor in Houston TX and does basically the same thing by night, and home inspections by day. They pay him pretty good too!
Warehouse work is tough. I’m an RME Technician at a fulfillment center. I usually ride my bike to work at the end of the work week to celebrate my upcoming days off lol
I’m fucken loving these night vibes bakerxdickhead. I’ve never noticed you don’t do night rides . Night riding is a whole different ball game . Demon hours too lmao
I work at Home Depot, on my feet all day too. I bought these shoes called On, they are the best shoes I've ever worn. Well worth the money. Just trying to help.
I used to work at the Deka factory and might have made some of the batteries used for those jacks myself. Really cool to see that something I used to make get all the way over to Cali.
Amazon ware house ain't no joke, water spider isn't too bad. I worked ship dock and it was misery! Packing trailers in the cold mornings and blazing afternoons
Hehe sketchers are my best friends. Worst part about walking so much is the shoes do get worn out quick! Sole inserts also only last so long. Elevate feet at home, 2 Tylenol and 2 ibuprofen well knock that pain level down if you wanna get some good rest. Good luck out there
Hey I don't mind night or day time vlogs even if they're just from your commute. Happy to know you are doing okay still and enjoy the job. Also you might be able to get your sole's changed in your shoes or get like fit to you working shoes. Not sure if the company you work at does that but mine has a person who fixes that. You can always ask, or if they know one. Or just Google around to one close to get that measured up. It can make a shit ton difference. Especially since you walk a lot like me. They'll measure and note down stuff regarding your feet and can get you to most ergonomically, best fitting shoes for you. Sole wise, with or without protection if needed/required for your job. Just felt like sharing this, cause it might make it way more chill for your feet and for your entire ergonomics. ✌🏼💯
Heck yeah dude. I work in the warehouse at work also. We move coffee bags of 130ish lbs each and those are doozies to pick up. Pallet of those are 1300 to 1400lbs and we move that with a manual pallet jack😂
One of my first jobs a few years ago was like that had the same kind of pallet jack and all, was always fun whipping them things they’re pretty quick too😂 hope it keeps going well goad you were able to find something you don’t hate👍 keep up with the videos been watching since I was a kid lol
I worked at a grocery store breaking down the pallets guys like you would make to stock the shelfs. I'd take 10 to 20k steps a day. The best thing I found was running shoes. They are meant for people to be active on their feet. So maybe try those out? I also get just wearing DCs because besides those running shoes I've only been wearing DCs for the last 21 years. Also try to make sure you lift with your legs, it'll save your back, I destroyed mine. Glad you are doing well man been watching you since 2015. I've ridden down to LA from Portland twice and am planning to do it again. would love to meet ya one of these days. Keep up the hard work, it feels good for the soul even when the body doesn't feel good. Ride safe man, those 12hr shifts can make ya pretty tired for the ride home.
Have a good weekend Derek. Soak your feet in some hot water with epsom salt. Nike Air Monarchs work good for me, maybe they'll work for you. Good walking shoes.
i work 4 tens at an amazon return center so i feel you, i mostly walk pick but i was trained in a job where i stand all day and it was AWFUL. but hey the money is good and 3 day weekends are dope.
Bakerxd rock I love you bro been watching you since I was a little shit in high school don’t stop making videos I appreciate your hard work and love to see you still keeping it down ❤️
Ehh yah bloody legend have a blessed week ahead.. I remember living in a huge city and dealing with road works and detours for 3 years you definitely get over it. Especially when all the new motorway and lanes that were ment to help just made more traffic lol. Crazy they dont put up detour signs for you to follow though. I just clicked why ive never ever seen a Give way sign on yours or any other Americans video cause ya'll call it Yeild😂 not Giveway like us.
Get some Thorogood Boots with the marshmallow Vibriam soles. Its prewashed leather that pretty soft already but if you wear them wet for a day they get even softer. The mock toe gives you plenty of room for the steel toe. Because they are real leather bottoms your foot indents and forms around even the bottom of your feet. A cobbler can replace the soles for cheap. Because the marshmallow soles are so soft they do need replacing after time by a cobbler but its no problem. Thorogoods are great on a concrete floor. The Thorogood is a all American made shoe and Union made by legal citizens since 1880.
Always ride with your high beam, people don't like it but at least you're seen. I use red auxiliary lights in the back and strobe in the front for when splitting, or my headlight burns out.Get some acupuncture asian sandals, game changer.
Damn see idk I expected a pallet full each pick I didn't expect you having to get single items to fulfill an order. I do see how that adds complexity. I'm happy for you man. Retirement, investment opportunities and insurance becomes more and more must have as we become the boomer geezers.
brother for the feet problem, mine used to be bruised the bottoms of my feet just constantly bruised and hurt. i stopped wearing normal shoes and got a decent pair of work boots. for me irish setters are the go to. red wings are ok imho didnt help me out to much still a good boot tho. knapps are good boots as well. depends on what your warehouse requires too like if you need steeltoe or not. boots can be expensive but they are worth their weight in gold
Glad you're doing well brother, and this job pays well. Not sure if you'll remember me, I'm ol' NC77583 from ~ 10 years ago lol! Met you while visiting with my yellow S2000. Much love brotha!

@@juliolopez7893 Nice brother, thanks for your service .
Baker and doitwithdan are responsible for my bike obsession. A decade later I got 6 bikes now!
Haven’t watched this channel in years. Good to still see he’s riding
Did a decade in a warehouse. Invest in good boots and start getting weekly massages. STRETCH ALWAYS AND FREQUENTLY.

a little advice when calling out the numbers on your picks , switch a few numbers to colors. a lot more recognizable with the headset.

Timberland Pro shoes bro, I've tried about 15 different brands. I refuse to wear anything else then timberlands. Helps your feet alot.
Damn see idk I expected a pallet full each pick I didn't expect you having to get single items to fulfill an order. I do see how that adds complexity. I'm happy for you man. Retirement, investment opportunities and insurance becomes more and more must have as we become the boomer geezers.
is the free way that bumpy for real, ayayayayayayayayayayayayayaXderek
Oh wow you guys doing Voice Picking. We do Pick to Light. I don’t pick but maintain the robots
I think people may agree. San Bernardino at night vlog on your way home. Will all be happy for a 7 min video ..Also maybe shitty breakfast spots..lol
brother for the feet problem, mine used to be bruised the bottoms of my feet just constantly bruised and hurt. i stopped wearing normal shoes and got a decent pair of work boots. for me irish setters are the go to. red wings are ok imho didnt help me out to much still a good boot tho. knapps are good boots as well. depends on what your warehouse requires too like if you need steeltoe or not. boots can be expensive but they are worth their weight in gold
Look into compression socks, they help immensely when you're on your feet all day. I've used CEP brand for years now
Love you bro been watching you for years keep making videos !
I knew you sounded familiar at work!!!!
You work with me ?
it took me about 6-10 months to get use to being on my feet working retail warehouse but besides the low pay i miss the chill co-workers
They finally opened the ramps. I get off around the same time and they had my on ramp to the 215 closed too
Congratulations on the new job! Night video looks awesome. CHYEAH!
Bro keep up the videos:) I’ve been watching for 10 years now
Glad you're doing well brother, and this job pays well. Not sure if you'll remember me, I'm ol' NC77583 from ~ 10 years ago lol! Met you while visiting with my yellow S2000. Much love brotha!
Different time at nighttime
You were going over 100 mph for a bit on the on- ramp, man, you got balls. Or I'm just an old lady in my old age. Never seen you at night. Enjoyed that. And right after you signed off, you rode past the boyhood home of acting God, Gene Hackman. A little fun fact.
Stay getting sturdy brother
