Now I'm just happy that your tone is a lot friendlier because now I feel like I can send that video to my buddies and not have to worry about how they look at me afterwards. great guide as always
No way, this is a great video. Not simply saying what to take, but saying why to take these things, and why other sidegrades are totally viable alternatives. It really helps understand the class.
Im still so fuckin here for these newer viddys. You always been the most informed & on point dt creator. This "new" yoy is gonna go super far. You deserve & have earned it.
Something I love about this fury build is that while there are BIS weapons you can run, you can basically also just run whatever you enjoy. You have endless TR and throwing knives, you're going to get through what you're fighting no matter what. Been running something very similar and it's been great for off-meta weapon grinds or just weapons I'm new to using.
I used to run one of the Tac Axes before the update which gave Zealot Dueling Swords and it was a great armoured killer but now since DS is on Zealot i've been running that :)
Yeah, in my view right side fury path even enables so many off meta weapons like crusher, heavy sword and evicerator because it keeps up your 50% dmg reduction, more charges for speed of weapon and your increases overall damage (from more crits) without having to ramp up your stacks so often because it takes longer to kill an elite or boss.
12:46 It's not optimal for damage, but from this setup you can rip out the 4 point investment to Duelist to pick up 20% cooldown reduction on backstab kills, which becomes insanely easy to do with shroudfield. Add the sprint speed right next to it and an extra point wherever and you've got the fastest cooldown and literal fastest class with a fancy dagger on top. Less damage pumping but you do turn into a cloakable racecar
I've only started doing Damnation/Auric Damnation after the Unlocked and Loaded update made it more available for me and having my perks and blessing being what I want makes me more confident, running into your videos after that has just made it all the more sweeter as it helps me understand this game more than what I previously knew. I appreciate your work buddy, keep up the phenomenal work
I was hoping for a Chorus build option. I just love being able to press pause, and shoving a plague ogryn off the edge makes me feel like an absulte gamer.
I found it so interesting when you commented on Shroudfield and on how it can make you worse, if you play with it too much. I had this feeling often with it and with other items in games and i thought i was going full-circle and crazy. Its good that it is relatable; i don't like to not have to think when Im playing something
Thank you for the amazing videos you've been making recently. They are so helpful and informative and have led me to understanding so much more about this game. Your explanations are super clear and concise. And you dont spend the first 4 minutes of your video with a long introduction. You just get right into it, and it makes your videos so much better.
Great video again Tanner, thank you. This build is almost exactly what I've been running on my zealot the last 4 months, but I've recently swapped to Thunder Hammer + Flamer for more challenge and weapon variety (since I run boltgun on my vet most of the time now).
Okay the way old Tanner talked about Until Death and the current Tanner talks about Until Death... Current Tanner is super pleasing to listen to! I had this video on in the background while I was making dinner and enjoyed every minute :)
It's wild I only heard about you after the big switch up in your style. Your latest videos have all been excellent, thanks for putting these together and I hope you continue to find success!
I've been using basically the same build recently. I play with randoms so I had to switch to Stun nades, because having to revive everyone 2 times per mission wasn't all too comfortable. Also, it's kinda neat how Bolter returned back to the similar spot it had for me during earlier versions of the game. I used it for control and sniping back then. Bursting 1 or 2 crushers was always just an "oh shi-" function afaic.
So after 3000+ hours of playing just my veteran, I finally got bored and started up a Zealot. I just got him to 30 last night, first thing I did was throw on Tanner's Fury build and hop into an Auric damn Comms-plex HISTG. Special spam was insane and I pulled out two 10 minutes clutches over the course of the mission while barely taking damage. That build's cracked af.
I'm surprised none of these builds use Inexorable Judgement, but iirc your own tier list said it was the best keystone for Zealot. Especially for Shroudfield, it seems strange to take Blazing Piety over this.
@@EcchiRevenge you didn't seem to understand the Statement. It wasn't about taking shroudfield over dash, it's about why not pairing shroudfield with the left keystone as it seems better for shroudfield specifically
Honestly blazing piety is a lot better than I gave it credit for and since the dueling sword doesn't really need any more base damage and the bolter doesn't need any attack speed that consistent crit ends up being significantly more valuable it's also a lot better placed for benediction
@@TannerLindberg That's fair. They're both strong. Which one I take on a build is usually a question of which makes me sacrifice fewer nodes I want with the pathing.

I know Ogryn probably suffers the most from it being difficult to make a build that covers all your bases like the other classes but gosh darn it I'm really curious to see people's opinions on the big guy when you do try to push it to it's limits.
dueling sword it's gonna get nerf to the fucking ground cuz ''it's too reliable'' knowing fatshark that's how they gonna operate... aside from nerfing veteran once more

Want to know what your thoughts are Tanner? Some fun food for conversation and content as you are making great ideas and breaking through walls of the game

Thanks for the video Tanner. I know it's meme tier for you, but it'd be really funny to see your take on an ideal Ogryn some day. Consider it a challenge!
I personally like Agility on the duel sword, some people might say it’s useless, but a Zealot that benefits a lot more from dodging, doing so constantly is great. The 10% weak spot damage on Agility isn’t too bad to have either
Interesting to see no endless flamer mentioned when talking about fury, and funny the boltguns come full circle again😂 Videos are much better now btw keep it up

I havent gone very high in difficulty yet as i just got into the game but ive loved shroud as more of a «oh shit this elite is gonna be a problem» and use it to reposition and one tap anything i need to. I see how its busted for sure, although i dont take full advantage.
This is a great breakdown! PLEASE do this for all the classes? Also, do you think there is a good build in the Force Sword + Deflector Blessing + Kinetic Deflection Talent node? I feel like there is a great build there but you are far more capable than
Good video. Not what I do right now but I get it. Zealots are always interesting because you always have to sacrifice something. Whenever I've talked to anyone about loner they've said its just to spend less talent points, I think that is a poor trade but I've tried it. Reddit's loner villain is pretty rare. There are like 5 people who actually queue up intending to ditch the team at the start who can pull that off.
I'm surprised book zealot isn't at least somewhat meta, pulsing CC every minute or so and damage buffs/resistance buffs for your team *feels* kinda strong in a horde game
I think the main problem with it is that veteran shout is just better and is up constantly. Not a bad pick otherwise especially with no shout vets on team.
Perfectionist better than Master-crafted Shroudfield now? Also I have been experimenting with Book Zealot on pub builds and completed all possible Auric Damnation missions except Maelstrom level for now. I run Sunstorm grenades (with heavy investment on the right side of course) and have to choose between taking blazing piety or taking Momentum and dropping a talent on the book damage buff and plus 10% attack speed talent..
I'm just getting back into Darktide and was thinking about reading up on the meta. Lucky me! Are there other weapon set-ups for other roles like horde clearing? Or is Zealot just the best single-target DPS, so leave other roles to others?
Probably go for pruge the unclean and sustained assault if you want even more horde clear. Otherwise I like the MK IX Heavy sword with head taker, death blow, flak and crit chance, charge, fury for a pretty nasty mixed horde mower but you'll want to take a ranged weapon decent against crushers like revolver (Carapace, elites, handcannon surgical + anoint inblood for 2 hit head shot from medium range) or boltgun. It's not the most meta build but I have gotten 850k damage from it.

then dont use it/ why did you click on a video with meta in the title? you can literally use knife with the EXACT same perks blessings and build and it will only be like 10% worse
Hi, Tanner! Could you turn up the volume please? My device is a bit old so the max volume doesn't go up too high. It's fine for other videos but for some reason the latest ones you released are very quiet. Thanks!
a question in case anyone gets to read this: what is the rationale for thrust on duelling sword? in my (limited) testing it seemed to kill things either slightly faster or much slower than just using regular heavies. is it mostly just to max out charge crits?
It's usually to get a breakpoint you couldn't get otherwise, many long hour player like to mess around with builds, and missing some damage from the skill tree can be mitigated with something like thrust especially when you pair it with attack speed.
Mr. Lindberg, I have a question! Why do you say Uncanny Strikes and Thrust over Precognition for the Dueling Sword Blessings? I just went over your Uncanny vs Precog video and it feels like Precog would make more sense in a dodge/crit build like the ones you showed. And is Thrust better at taking down Crushers than Precog, or is this all just personal preference/playstyle?
Everything comes down to personal preference/playstyle especially when people talk about "meta". There are blessings that are better than others obviously, however you can make anything work as long as you have skill, map knowledge and situational awareness.
Ngl I have PTSD seeing throwing knives due to the number of times I'm watching a zealot flail around when someone is downed instead of being able to drop a grenade and reset the fight.
Great video Tanner and also hope you're doing well! So I'm kinda of a noob and want to know how you get the "Sainted" status on your weapons and curios since i can only get it to "Transcendent" and I would like to have them red colours there :)))
Good points overall. I'm just frustrated with the Dueling Sword on this class as it makes a lot of the other choices pretty much pointless. I mean you CAN run something different, but there's simply no reason to as this weapon does everything.
i know heavy eviscerator isnt a very good weapon but i was wondering if you could still throw together a build that makes it useable without it feeling like im slapping people with wet paper towel
Heavy evis can stunlock anything below crusher and if you have a crit build you are doing tons of bleed and crit. Heavy evis like every weapon is meta as long as you are good with it.
I like how I have roughly about 600 hours in this game and EACH AND EVERY DAY I find new things about it that I had to idea were in it to begin with...what's a "super crit"? I've never heard of that before. Can someone please shine some light on that?
hey bro i main zealot lvl 1500 i think uncanny strike is a mid tier blessing its not that great you can already do huge dmg with dualist and thrust. my preferred blessing would be riposte or shred cleans the trash faster. also use HR bro it lets u not worry bout hp till its triggered, and lets u go balls while in use. but other then tht your spot on and its your style big ups
New to the channel, and great and informative vids - especially for those of us coming back after a long break. However, for all that is holy, will someone please explain why Tanner is butchering the pronunciation of riposte? I've noticed it in other videos as well. I feel like I'm not in on a joke or something
Why have you pivoted so hard away from Momentum? Didn't you use to prefer that over Piety? I also thought you were previously a fan of Master Crafted Shroudfield over Perfectionist. I know there have been some balance adjustments, but were they that significant?
I don't like invisibility in these games in general because you just don't have to interact with the game. At least smite bubble falls off with very dense mixed hordes in the higher difficulties
Hello, Thank you for the video. I was a little suprise to not see a Momentum build in the different build you talk about. Always though that Momentum had a little more skillcap than Blazing Piety but greater damage when execute well. Did it receive a nerf or have i just overestimate Momentum ?
You mentioned in a recent video about momentum outperforming blazing piety. would you say that is no longer the case or is it just that it's more point economical for the piety setup? Or is it that for a general audience meta build piety is easier to make use of then momentum?
Using throwing knife to support Bolter is pretty good and not as punishing as relying only on knife for sniping. I don't see the appeal of flamer horde clear when you should be triggering Duelists and other nodes by melee and dodging hordes.

i know heavy eviscerator isnt a very good weapon but i was wondering if you could still throw together a build that makes it useable without it feeling like im slapping people with wet paper towel
Heavy evis can stunlock anything below crusher and if you have a crit build you are doing tons of bleed and crit. Heavy evis like every weapon is meta as long as you are good with it.
WE ARE EATING SO GOOD
That's a really nice bolter skin tanner how'd you get it?
lovely build, if only i can get the moebian 21st skins now as i forgot to login on last year's date lol
He has arrived.
I started playing darktide yesterday I wonder how long it will take me get those meta builds going xD
I like how I have roughly about 600 hours in this game and EACH AND EVERY DAY I find new things about it that I had to idea were in it to begin with...what's a "super crit"? I've never heard of that before. Can someone please shine some light on that?
Love this video
no pious cut throat?
just too expensive?
hey bro i main zealot lvl 1500 i think uncanny strike is a mid tier blessing its not that great you can already do huge dmg with dualist and thrust. my preferred blessing would be riposte or shred cleans the trash faster. also use HR bro it lets u not worry bout hp till its triggered, and lets u go balls while in use. but other then tht your spot on and its your style big ups
GOATED
New to the channel, and great and informative vids - especially for those of us coming back after a long break. However, for all that is holy, will someone please explain why Tanner is butchering the pronunciation of riposte? I've noticed it in other videos as well. I feel like I'm not in on a joke or something
Im new to the game and im wondering if i could use the heavy eviscerator with this?
8:15 until death feels like some vermintide 2 zealot bait lmao(it worked ive taken the bait)😅
Hey Tanner Could I Use heavy Eviscerator For this build?
Hello, Thank you for the video.
I was a little suprise to not see a Momentum build in the different build you talk about.
Always though that Momentum had a little more skillcap than Blazing Piety but greater damage when execute well.
Did it receive a nerf or have i just overestimate Momentum ?
So you think blazing piety is better than momentum now?
yeah its ESPECIALLY better for d sword
You mentioned in a recent video about momentum outperforming blazing piety. would you say that is no longer the case or is it just that it's more point economical for the piety setup? Or is it that for a general audience meta build piety is easier to make use of then momentum?
i think its both tbh.
not bad 👍
Hey thank you
So No Book?
Also what happened to Sprint Efficiency+Block Efficiency?
eh its to competitive for them imo toughness has really gotten alot better
Using throwing knife to support Bolter is pretty good and not as punishing as relying only on knife for sniping. I don't see the appeal of flamer horde clear when you should be triggering Duelists and other nodes by melee and dodging hordes.
