R.I.P. Nujabes I miss ramen. It's my favorite food but I don't eat it anymore for health reasons. Really happy to see his brother keeping his memory alive like this.
Well now you’re making me scared of eating ramen😂 is it the high sodium or the fat? I developed an intolerance to the small store ones and have been throwing up every time I’ve tried eating them again and I really hope it will be different in Japan :)
Ramen tends to be very high in sodium. Like your entire daily serving of sodium plus some if you happen to also enjoy the broth. For anyone that watches their salt intake, ramen can be brutal even as a once every now and again treat. Also if you need numbers, keep in mind *low sodium* ramen I was looking at from a place before was still estimating 1400mg+ in the bowl.
This review of Usagi's tantanmen was tastefully done on several levels 🍜🐰 it makes me happy that you got to experience eating there idk why but I really enjoyed this. I hope to one day be able to visit Usagi and eat their hearty tantanmen too~
My first friend i made when I moved to America as a kid was a huge nujabes fan. He took his life a few years ago and i also tear up when I hear the music. I'm heading to Japan next year and I'll definitely visit.
My comment might get lost but I was so happy to see this short right before I went to Japan. I had a chance to pop into Usagi last week and I will argue that it was the best ramen I had in Japan. Also as a lover of Nujabes it definitely hit the heartstrings a bit. Thank you for posting. It made me very happy to know this existed ☺️

I literally gasped like 7x watching this, and it actually stirred me up inside... RIP Nujabes🖤
Didn't know Nujabes had a brother(?), definitely a must visit! Wow Japaneat eats it all, even the broth. It's like Gordon Ramsay when he kept eating and didn't share the dish with other judges xD

aw man rip Nujabes. I'm glad his brother is making some clearly amazing food. I intend to visit it when I make the journey to Japan, now. Thank you for putting this out there.
I've eaten both chinese and japanese style DanDanMian and they are pretty different. The Chinese one usually doesn't have soup while the Japanese ramen one does.
