What is EZbass?
EZbass is a bass plugin designed to effortlessly and in a number of different ways let you add bass to your songs. More info, audio demos and videos here:

I'm a little late to the party but I've been playing with EZBass all morning.
The Audio Tracker is an absolute God send and such a time saver. I don't have a bass currently and manually programming in bass lines using other Bass libraries can be a bit time-consuming. This allows me to just have a run through of a rough bass idea on guitar and have it as a bass in seconds. So far I haven't really noticed any weird dodgy notes or anything which was very surprising, I'll be honest but a welcome surprise!
I was wondering about this and whether or not I can do that with a guitar. How did you run that? Guitar through an audio interface into a DAW?
@@MetalHead1965 Yeah so the set up I use for it is:
1 x Track = EZBass
1 x Track = Guitar DI Source
The guitar is through my audio interface as it normally would be for recording using an amp sim.
The only difference is I've applied a little EQ before it hits my DAW to remove some of the low frequencies. I've found this helps EZBass pick up on the notes and articulations much better.
While I'm sending that audio to EZBass I'm also recording a DI of the guitar which I've found makes it quicker and easier to edit and give a reference on the notes incase EZBass doesn't pick up the audio correctly.
This is usually muted and is only there as a safety net.
@@markuskerloch Right on, thanks for the info. I'm gonna look into this.
At this rate in 2025 Toontrack will release EZ Band with every instrument in one GUI ;) I can see expansions coming for EZ bass, would love to see a Rickenbacker. Kinda torn with this release, in one hand i think it's very cool but in the other i'd rather play my real bass. Great job guys
Bought and extremely satisfied. Looking at this now we demand an EZDaw.
Bought it yesterday...A W E S O M E software Guys !!!!! Bass was always my weakest instrument until EZBass. Thanks!
fantastic, I'm anxious waiting to ezguitar!
That's a whole different beast.
They'll never be able to do this with guitar. Not beyond basic chords anyway. There are simply too many issues with a polyphonic instrument.
IOooiiiooOI I don’t see why not, synths/midi keyboards can convincingly replicate the sound and make it almost indistinguishable, It may not be perfect but there are already plugins that do this, EZGuitar is most likely coming soon within 5 years or so
Another suggestion. When moving notes around within the Tracker tab, the notes should make a sound ( the sound of the corresponding note ) as they snap into the next row. Just like any MIDi editor would behave, even if this is not MIDI at that stage of the process. That would make the work flow a lot faster and one doesn't have to follow with the eyes the narrow rows all the way to the left where the piano representation is in order to see if it was the right note choice.
Hi, Thanks for your suggestion! In the current version, you only hear sound when you move the notes in Tracker using your mouse. In a future update, it will be the same also if you use your arrow keys to move notes up or down.
got it today its sooooo good
Glenn Fricker: Heavy breathing
Great potential unfortunately I'm having a hell of a time getting it to track my guitar properly. I've found that removing all of the additional articulations helps a great deal. However I still find that notes are missing/stuttering when I import a properly recorded DI audio file - or record it in realtime from Logic X. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that can help get a more accurate tracking? What pick ups to use on the guitar? Hi Z or Low Z input? Tone rolled off or up? Etc. Cheers!
how do I export what I do inside the soft info for example Samplitude?
I'm trying to figure out how to remove the source audio once finished. I've heard some phasing when using that same audio in the project itself. I know one could slide to midi only.

I had a play with it the other night. I did a bass line for a whole song that I’d already played bass guitar on. Now I have two bass lines and can’t decide which one is better. Only criticism is that it seems to sound a bit thin when up against the real thing - missing sub-frequencies or something... I don’t know.
It's up to your mixing ability to fit majestically into your mix. I've been to make even a bass preset from hypersonic compete in weight to a real bass in the past
Some bass guitars also just naturally have sub harmonics that others don’t. It’s possible that your bass has more of those harmonics when compared to ez bass
Now we need EZ band
Can't drag a recorded bass audio file in from within Studio One. Is this a bug or is the Audio Sender plugin required for this as well?

@@toontrack Thanks, will do!
Will Audio Tracker work with a synth recording?
Hi, It's mainly made with the intent of tracking a bassline played on a guitar or bass but it can analyze other audio as well. The results may vary depending on the quality of the audio being sent to Tracker.
There is something still not being addressed: can we drag edited notes from song track into DAW MIDI track?
Yes we can.
So is there any notable difference / quality in using either direct in EZ Bass or with the Audio Sender !? In other words, why do I need the Audio Sender ?
The Audio Sender is for example if you have a Bass audio track in your DAW and you want to recording that (send) that audio into EZbass to be tracked to MIDI.
@@toontrack Ok great, thanks for quick reply. Loving the plugin and features like the repeater at the low end of the keyboard, the Audio tracker, etc
@@toontrack Also, the repeater key is essential for playing fast bass lines - it makes a lot of sense. Is there a repeater key in EZDrummer 2 !? Would come in handy for snare and tom rolls especially
When I go to record in audio tracker....the only option I have for input is "NO INPUT". Any suggestions?

Audio Sender doesn't seem to send as well as it could. AAMOF, most of the time it shows as recording but when stopped, there's nothing to send back to the DAW...don't really know why.

I can't believe EZB would create any reasonable audio tracking from poly sound. I struggle to get any reasonable results with mono. I'm playing clean and in time, bridge clean pickup in my six string (standard E tuning) guitar. Anything more complicated than cheesy pop ballad would get EZB lost when tracking and assign some random notes or it would miss some notes. I'm following all the tutorials delivered and not much of a result i get. I'm happy there is 10 days trial, otherwise - I believe - it would be money wasted, since audio track was the main reason I wanted EZB. Thank you for EZD thou I love it.

"Drag audio" is OK. But I still can't use the "record audio from DAW" function...AudioSender appears in my inserts on my guitar track...but it cannot connect to EZBass, and the "Input" button only shows "None"...Some advice ? Thanks

Where's EZSONG? You know the software that creates complete classic songs we can all produce?
Will they release a superior bass player in the future?! 😍😍😍
This is superior Bass, Einstein. lol
@@qualaup Yeah, Einstein - this is EZbass - nothing to do with their Superior line.
@@qualaup ?? No, it is not.
where is the toontrack audio sender in flstudio 21?
Hi, it should be in the effects category, or similar. Some hosts put it in an "Other" category. Make sure that you have installed the Audio Sender plug-in via the Toontrack Product Manager app first!
Help , the audio tracker isn't following all the notes i play from my clean recorded guitar ,what am i doing wrong?

I’m having trouble with the tempo as soon as I move the midi into song track it loses the tempo
Hi, please make sure you have the same tempo in your DAW, In the Tracker and on the Song Track. For more info please reach out to our support via the button at the bottom of any FAQ at toontrack.com
Dragging into the VST version doesn’t work at all, unfortunately :( not in Ableton 10.1.3
Hi Ken, Please contact our Support Team and they'll be happy to investigate. Use the button at the bottom of any FAQ at toontrack.com/faq
No input to choose from. Help?
Hi Dallas, make sure that you are using the latest version of Audio Sender if you are using a DAW, and that you place the Audio Sender plug-in on a track that is armed for recording. Please contact support via the Contact Support button at the bottom of this FAQ if that didn't help: www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/
Every time I try to use the audio tracker I get a crash and a dump file and then FL studio shuts down. Anybody else dealing with this?
Hi Adam, please contact our support team and provide them with the dump file and they'll look into this. You will probably not be able to attach the dmp file in your initial request via the Support form, but once the support replies you can attach it in your next e-mail to them.

"here's a great video to watch before you pick up your bass player from daycare"
I find that the results are nothing like I play, even when played tight, ends up being more hassle than its worth
Hi, sorry to hear that, please make sure to contact our support. They will gladly receive a sample recording that the development team can use to analyze for further development. www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/
There's no "record audio from DAW" that I can use see and this video brushed over it too quickly
EZ Vocalist, please.

This is space
you know what this is a lot of work i find playing real bass is probably easier , i wish i didn't buy it
Dude.. I’m starting to think so too. I could track bass DI and edit the wav of the DI faster most likely
So far EZ Bass has been a huge waste of time. It records wrong notes, some audio not recorded at all and other problems. Save your money and just buy a bass guitar!
Hi Chuck, sorry to hear. Please reach out to our support and they'll assist. Maybe there are tweaks to be done to your incoming audio to achieve a more accurate tracking. Use the "Contact Support" button at the bottom of this FAQ: www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/
Am I the only one who thinks this plug-in is too complicated?
Yes)
This function is a total rip off as it does not work. I wish I never bought this plug in. You can't drag files into the 'audio tracker' .. Why? This needs to be fixed. Garbage plug in.
Audio files can be dragged into Audio Tracker. If you are dragging the audio files from a host, the host needs to support copying audio out of the host via drag-and-drop. Please contact our Support via any FAQ on our site for more information about your DAW in particular (click the Contact Support button at the bottom). www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/
@@toontrack Ahhh .. so it's a problem with 'the other software' I'm using. 😂.. Na .. this is just a convoluted unintuitive way EZ bass is designed. "Drag and Drop" is supposed to be a simple way to exchange audio. What's the point if you have to export to an outside folder , not allowing the user to drag and drop directly from the DAW itself. I'm using a fully updated version of Logic. This is a problem with Toontrack. I'm not the only one who's said this.
