I used almost any kontakt to, sd3, ggd, addictive 3 and ez2. IMO, ez3 is the most versatile in terms of humanizing, velocity, tone control, fills whatsoever. I luv the groove but in the early process of production; my least priority is drums ( I want to make the last hit with drums ) so ez3 type of vst give vibe and I continue the work. then I fill groove manually. I didn't like sd3, since it is 250 gb and requires so much mixing. ez3 offers good presets that I barely touch.
If the audio doesn't start at the beginning of the clip (quiet few seconds), is there a way to "Slide"/"Shift" the audio imported into "Bandmate" so that the waveform can be aligned to a specific measure? OR is it required to edit the audio clip at a measure or count at a time?

@@paddy-o-707 On PC the drum track created by bandmate drags right into the EZD Studio One Instrument track. It's hard to miss, very simple. Are you on Mac?
You need an audio interface that you can plug your guitar into. At that point you link reaper to the audio interface and you can record anything that you plug into the audio interface.

Quick question .. .I see you easily take a midi file from EZKeys and drop it in bandmate ... but when I try to drag a midi file from the track pain (I do have to cut to drag the part intended) ... it doesn't work ... so I've been saving the midi file and having ot uploaded it from the "Open" portion of bandmate .... shouldn't most DAWs like Studio One be able to be dragged into EZ Drummer 3? ... thank you ....
DAWs will have different rules as we are all finding out the limitations with dragging into Bandmate. I was using two Standalone Aps, and not the plugins in a DAW. That is the difference btween my vid and your situation. For now do what you're doing. Do sub or swing back. Working on a vid that discusses this.
i am trying to record from my electric kit onto some drumless tracks but ez drummer is not allowing me to record it when i hit to record the source channal stops
There’s a lot of info to be desired here. You’ve record enabled the track? OS/DAW?
Hi I have a problem. I need to know how to take a track I've recorded, say a guitar track and place it to my desktop so I can drag it into easy drummer 3 Bandmate. I am using protools, This would be a great help because no one out there is offering the information on how to do this. if you have the time it would be great.
Thanks
Just for you, Hewey. Here is the current best practice of bringing Pro Tools Audio into EZDrummer 3's Bandmate. Some DAWs that have the full bought version of Melodyne installed have a more seamless workflow. Something I will cover in the future after more testing.

I wonder if I wanna do slow doom. Bandmate seem to make pretty fast beats.
It's tough to be particular with Bandmate. Do try selecting Half-Time under Filters though, it may help.
EZD3 s way faster, you're right!
If the audio doesn't start at the beginning of the clip (quiet few seconds), is there a way to "Slide"/"Shift" the audio imported into "Bandmate" so that the waveform can be aligned to a specific measure? OR is it required to edit the audio clip at a measure or count at a time?

@@ShootieSchool Thank you SO very much for your patience with me man. My ADHD can cause me to spin out at times and then jump around for answers. I completely missed the snap at @3:01 and I saw this video a few times today, but spaced out due to poor focus. I really appreciate you, man.
@@sekritskworl-sekrit_studios You got it!
How to export final?
yor cuzzin....from Bahston!
lol
I can't figure out how to drag a midi file from my Logic project into EZD3. How can I do that? Also, I noticed I had to drag an audio track from the edit window.
Few DAWs allow that. You have to manually export from logic, then drag back in from a Finder window.
Once you've "finalized" a drumbeat in Bandmate, how do you export it as either an aiff, wav or mp3 file?
Drag to ezd3 song track. Main menu>track>export audio
Got a question for ya Shootie my brutha....
So we know that you can use all the drum kits etc from EZD2 in EZD3...
Can you use the EZD3 kits in EZD2?
Would appreciate if you could check on that for me bro :-)
Its gonna take me a while to warm up to the completely new layout of EZD3, im really not diggin it.
I wish they would have kept the old layout, I dont like change when something works for me.
But im old and set in my ways lol
No on EDZ3 kits in EZD2.
You know how I feel about the later, I get it.
@@ShootieSchool Thanks for checking on that for me bro, really appreciate it
Of course.
I have whole songs recorded. Would I have to break each riff in sections?
That is the workflow so far, Jerry.
Can the drum track be exported as an audio file? How do you export it into Reaper?
Go to the Track Menu>Bounce>Export Song As Audio.
Or if you're unfamiliar on how to use EZD inside of Reaper, check out this video... ua-cam.com/video/IUOaysrX6Bo/v-deo.html
When I drag the file, it doesn't move the file and open the program. :(
It works different for every DAW and OS.
I am using Studio One Artist. I got a perfect grove after using band mate. I pulled the audio from a UA-cam Video. How do I copy the groove to the Ez Drummer Track in Studio One?
You can literally drag from the EZD Song Track to a Studio One Instrument track. Do you have EZD loaded inside or Studio One?
@@ShootieSchool I do have it loaded and I tried to drag it but maybe I’m not doing it right.
@@paddy-o-707 "How do I copy the groove"... you are talking about an EZD3 midi drum file, right?
@@ShootieSchool the track that is created by Bandmate.
@@paddy-o-707 On PC the drum track created by bandmate drags right into the EZD Studio One Instrument track. It's hard to miss, very simple. Are you on Mac?
It’d be cool if you could just load a song in there and it could give u a drumtrack!
I'm sure the industry will answer sooner or later with this.
Amazing program….
You know it!
“Technological Culture Shock”
Ha, great line. Also, great content. 👍
Thank you, Buddy! What an easy name to say all of the time.
Just trying to find a way to half time the speed of the drums. I hate how everything is eigth notes and sounds the same. ugh
In band mate, look in the filters for half time. Otherwise, use the filters on the Grooves Tab.
👍
You're too good to me ;)
Can someone, anyone please tell me how to record a DI guitar track in reaper? I really want to use EZ Drummer 3 to its full potential .
You need an audio interface that you can plug your guitar into. At that point you link reaper to the audio interface and you can record anything that you plug into the audio interface.
@@ShootieSchoolthat’s exactly what I have. So, to be clear, I’m running my guitar input into a focusrite audio interface and then into reaper. I have 2 tracks, once with an amp sim and one just plain. That is a DI correct? Both of the wav forms look the same whether the amp sim is on them or not, hence my confusion.
That is a DI and you only need one since you get your tone in Reaper.
Does it recognize 3 rd party midi ?
It recognizes all midi. I recommend the midi being General Standard Drum Midi so the mapping works though.
@@ShootieSchool so bandmate will include 3rd party drum midi when its looking for matches ?
I find this maddening when starting something on the and of 3 or 4 in a pickup bar. Bandmate seems to think that is beat one. I had high hopes for Bandmate but so far, it's been a great disappointment to me.
I've yet to use it in one of my projects. We'll see if they develop it further.
Who prefers Bandmate to Logic's Drummer?
I still need to check out Logic's drum stuff. I've been hearing about it for a while now.
Your videos are amazing. But is this really your natural voice? The action movie trailer tone is so distracting.:D
Thanks for saying. I'm just talking.
AI Experience?
there is no AI, all what Bandmate does is searching the libary you have installed. ;)
Sure. Was just a term form the top of my head before the whole world starting geeking about AI. Algorithm might be better.
Thanks!
You are my 3rd UA-cam Thanks donation ever! Thank you!!!!!
