ALSO... In addition to guitars, I use EZ Keys a lot for writing and recently got EZ Bass too. I appreciate that Bandmate works well with MIDI, including MIDI from these other Toontrack tools. Lots to learn but I think this will result in cool new idea sources and workflows for writing and recording.

Great video and it looks like your channel is full of amazing content. I've been using EZ Drummer for years, but mostly for writing with presets - defining a song structure and writing to that with various EZX/MIDI packs. For final recording, my producer is a genius at custom drum programming (and sometimes we use a real drummer) but we haven't worked together for a while. I have tons of guitar/vocal song fragments where I'd like to add drums to help me finish the songs, and it looks like Bandmate could be the key to that. My first tries were awful but now I see now that there are lots of things to adjust and lots of things to learn. Your videos look to be really helpful in that. Thanks! Subscribed.

Really like your style, I have EZ Drummer 2 and have been using it for a while now, I am thinking of upgrading and find your reviews/tutorials really helpful. I can see the Band mate feature is going to save me a load of time, I used to have to search for hours until I have the right style and feel, apart from the time looking for the right beat the only thing I found frustrating with EZ2 was the fills and transitions from Verse to chorus etc.

I made a drum fill to a song and then imported the actual song into the Bandmate. The original song i imported is the one i used to play the drumfill so it was a drumless track. Well after aligning the two, my EZDrummer 3 drumfill and the drumless track, the tempo, speed and BPM change and I can't control this at all. Is there a way to keep the original song from changing the bpm so that my drumfill matches the song? ThankYou in advance. I just got EZD 3 today and it's a very nice program. Love it. For audio fidelity comparison I'd like to know if it objectively sounds better. I'm guessing there must be a way to compare the bit depth or wave pattern of a snare or kick (for example) from similar kits in each version of EZD. Nutrient dense brain food plus once you start seeing work flows you know who designed systems things in a certain pattern that will relate to the rest of the system. A classic for me being a PC nerd for years was getting a Mac and having to unthink things . Getting frustrated then finding the answer feeling like a brain dead idiot cause it was so so simple . I used almost any kontakt to, sd3, ggd, addictive 3 and ez2.
IMO, ez3 is the most versatile in terms of humanizing, velocity, tone control, fills whatsoever.
I luv the groove but in the early process of production; my least priority is drums ( I want to make the last hit with drums ) so ez3 type of vst give vibe and I continue the work. then I fill groove manually. I didn't like sd3, since it is 250 gb and requires so much mixing.
ez3 offers good presets that I barely touch.

Few DAWs allow that. You have to manually export from logic, then drag back in from a Finder window.

You need an audio interface that you can plug your guitar into. At that point you link reaper to the audio interface and you can record anything that you plug into the audio interface.
