Midi bass/keybass has been good enough for a LOOONG time. The big value-added for Toontrack stuff is their midi libraries, lets you dump in a part without having to think about it any more than you want to.

I dont think they compare due to the fact Ez bass is giving you grooves and feeling it's really like having a pro bass player and telling him to play this like this. I cant wait to buy this . This plugin is way more than the sound of the instrument. Amazing simply amazing
I've been seriously stalking the release of this - as a solo artist I am hoping to find value in it - as long as it can do Country, French Pop, and MathcoreBigBandBluegrassjent, I'm good.
Your mix is great . You made EzBass sound really good in it. What most beginners don't know is that you have to know how to mix down in order to get a quality sound. You wont get this out of the box. EZbass is just part of the whole. I would be more interested in a , "how to make your mixes sound like this" video . Everything from the drums to guitars. Peace.
Great video! I can see this being great for mixing and reinforcement as well as replacement.I love the addition of the wet/dry mix. I can imagine you could get pretty creative with that for layering midi onto a pre-recorded bass line to add thickness and punch in a mix situation, what do you reckon? Keep up the good work sir!
Man the most interesting thing about this software is that you could notate with midi inside it. So instead of having to sit there and notate every chord stroke for guitar through guitar pro. I could physically play whatever i wrote inside my daw using this plug in and then drop the midi into some notation software for later. good god that sounds like heaven
I do prefer to play bass in all my tracks, but damn, this saves a lot of time, sounds better than my crappy bass, and the fingerpicked option is an added bonus. May just have to shell out the cash.
That is pretty amazing for a midi instrument that is basicly a box of sound puzzle that you just squeeze in... but this is good for metal hard rock and pretty simple stuff... try using this for a Jazz ray Brown track or even a simple Mccartney basse line.... The melodic isnt quite there yet... but it sure is a nice thing to play with. If all you want is your base to teamp up with a drum and play that root and shit.... if you want a complex emotional basseline... it isnt there... well you can use it to compose a baseline with a midi keyboard i guess and it would do the trick
I just read that you cannot tune single strings - just the whole Bass, so, no Drop Tunings ? Can you make the Bass really Low tuned ? Say F standard Tuning ...?
Scary, but cool. I'm a guitar player, and I use toontrack ezdrummer 2 for drums on my recordings because it sounds better(even if not real) than any drummer I know, and it's virtually free every time(one time payment of the 150 bucks). I record bass because I can play it sufficiently enough(or at least near as good as my guitar playing). But, I think this is potentially an amazing tool for some singers, drummers, etc. Scary because they are coming for us guitar players next!
That’s really hard to do . Imagine picking up all the nuances of guitar playing and all the versatility of the instruments . I don’t think any software can do that now but certainly in the future .
@@TheShyArmyTV Yeah, and then eventually what if they could do it with vocals, and even the diction would be super realistic. and then people could create music with a full-band using near-realistic or even totally realistic samples. but then eventually after that, we wouldn't need people to create the music, there would just be automated algorithms that create unique music and artists/bands. tongue in cheek of course, but i suppose anything is possible.
