485 visa and Vocational Study

From the 1st of July, there should no longer be the requirement to nominate an occupation. Anyone who meets the Australian Study Requirement through the vocational study will have access to a 2 year 485 visa. Even if you complete your courses from January this year you should still be eligible in July.

Hi Karl,currently I am holding 485 visa but in August 2021 I applied for 494 visa, sponsorship has been approved in November but I am still waiting for visa approval. I signed the contract with my sponsor employer and I live and work in regional for 14 months.Can I apply for PR after 3 years of sponsorship approval or from the date when visa will be issued?Thanks,
