  • What visa options do I have after my graduate 485 visa now that the Covid 408 Visa is being removed.
Now we always knew that the Covid 408 visa was going to be a temporary measure to address the pandemic and now it will be completely removed in February 2024.
There isn’t a lot of options if you have not already applied for your permanent visa.
    1. If you have less than 2 years of work experience in your nominated occupation, you may qualify for the Training visa - subclass 407. You will need your employer to sponsor you in a position where you will receive training.
    2. If you have at least 2 years of full time work experience then you may qualify for the temporary skill shortage 482 visa. You will need your employer to sponsor you in your nominated occupation.
    3. The third option would be to go back onto a student visa if you are interested in doing further education.

Is there a reason the 186, 189 and 190 visas are not mentioned?

    Why you didn't mention 186DE

Hi, why didn't you consider stay on 485 for 3 years, and then apply 186DE? This would be the cheapest option, and you wouldn’t be "tied" to the company in case you apply for a 482? Is this viable? Thanks

Only come here with plenty of funds, a career that will be on the list or someone who can sponsor you. It is a shit show here. It is not daisies like it's been advertised here. I have been here nearly 9 years and have yet to apply for my PR and get a job in my industry.
