Like wouldn't there be chances that this extension policy would be amended or discontinued in the future? So why not just add 2 years now to make it expire on 2027? Am I missing something here? My agent confirmed that it will not overlap the current visa and the start date of extension would be the expiry date mentioned on your current visa. I was waiting fir this confirmation before I apply for the extension and just got a this confirmation from my migration agent yesterday.

Hope you can give clarification on this (different topic though): we saw some ads on job sites looking for paid summer/vacation student interns which run from Nov-Feb (12 weeks) on various companies from different states. Are international students allowed to participate on this type of activity during their school breaks to gain experience related to their courses (even if internship is not required in their studies), and at the same time earn while on their school holiday? Can you work in a company outside of your school's state? Thank you very much.
