Thanks for the reaction. A huge shoutout to Roger Chance for spreading the good word. It's not uncommon for first time reactors to be left speechless by these ladies. They are arguably the best live rock band on the planet. By the 5th reaction video, if not sooner, you'll have exhausted all known superlative to describe them. Do check out Domination, Moratorium, Play, Real Existence, No God, Puzzle...all official live videos, to name a few. From Now On and Onset are a couple instrumentals that showcase their musical proficiencies. They don't have a bad song in their entire catalogue of 120+ songs. Okay, names, pronunciation, nicknames, and roles, in order that they joined the band.
Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. Poker shark and horse racing fanatic. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Definitely eccentric, possibly insane.
Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors. A sweet, motherly woman who turns into a beast when you hand her a guitar.
Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Completely unflappable. Frequently snacks between songs. Has been known to sign her banana peels and throw them to the audience.
MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls.
Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. Regards her band mates, especially Kanami and Miku, with bemused exasperation. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).
For many of us, our first reaction to Band Maid leaves us overwhelmed and speechless... good one, BigBoy..!
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up.
Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!
Hey Kawaii Davey, remember the time when we were free climbing Mt Fuji with MISA & she kept throwing little pieces of rock at us, laughing & saying "Don't lose your grip guys". Do you think if she'd managed to dislodge that orange sized rock it would've knocked one of us off?🤔

Mate i enjoyed your reaction but a word of advice, don't set targets for how many subs or likes you want, if people like you & you like the music then the subs will come. Otherwise it makes it sound like you're only listening to a band if it means you get subs :)

Yes I did! I wasn't expecting very much push with the yt algorithm but i guess my video found the right people. But I am very grateful for it. For 1 I found a great band that i can discover more about with new people. And 2 that I have found great people while doing this for just about week. Thank you for the positivity

Like something more Heavy Metal with some Frye scream thrown in... Might take a look at a band called "Nemophila". Start with a song called "Rise"... it's a good middle of the road song by them.
