Oh yea because everyone wants a car with an unreliable engine thats gonna blow up at 40k km. Car makers are not stupid. There is a reason why no one makes rotary cars.

The reason they don't make rotary engines is because of emissions, not reliability.
There are Australian and American little tunning shops who design and build rotary engines that delete all major fails of rotary engines that were build with technology over 20 years old.
Use common sense, if a company that has multi-million or billions to design a car, won't you think they will not be able to design a proper reliable rotary engine with the technology they have today in 2024 compared to late 1980's and early 2000's?
I can give you thousands of examples of brand new piston engines that are blown under 30k kilometers.
In my repair garage shop I have a collection of blown brand new engines. Peugeot, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Hyundai and Dodge.
It's not about piston or rotary, the problem comes from Marketing teams who are involved into designing of every detail in engine and gearboxes so they can save money and return customers back for repairs.
Most of the new engines have plastic parts for a reason.

Either it was a requirement from Pikes Peak or Alpine have a deal with Polyphony.
