Get the service plan. My tank developed rust spots that are now leaking less than a year later… motor seems to get louder every day; of course no way to lubricate the bearings, and it sounds like their days are numbered. My last big ShopVac got so loud I finally just drilled through the top of the housing to expose the back of the top bearing so I could get some 20W-40 oil on it and packed marine grease on it. I re-sealed the hole I drilled with aluminum air-duct tape with a heavy urethane adhesive. Didn’t completely fix it but it helped a lot. Higher RPMS, and less air-raid-siren howl. At this clearance price, it’s definitely worth getting one, but I would strongly urge getting the extended service option.
Could you please show how to change to the wet foam filter for sucking up water none of the videos including your shows that and that's the reason I bought mine and I can't figure out how to change the filters out thanks
Hello, just an fyi I store my floor attachments in the 2 hose extensions when they are put vertical on the 2 front wheel slots. Just remember when you use the extensions they will fall out when you take them off but when your ready to store it away you know they have a place until you're ready to use them.

Best review! I was glad you talked about the Blue Knob at the front as I couldn’t find info about it in the Manuel or any other demo on UA-cam. I figured it released water but thought it was from the bottom. It’s a great product though! Would be awesome as a carpet shampooer.

Yes! Good point! I did this with a Craftsman vac I had for over 20 years LOL and it worked just fine :-) And it probably has more suction without the resistance of the bag as well
No, actually that hole is where the air is pushed out of the vacuum. It's actually the fan motor pulling air out of the vacuum canister that causes suction on the other end. Plz let me know if i misunderstood the question, but mine did not come with a cap
Im having what i think is the same problem right now every 30 seconds or so i have to shut the vacuum off and wait for that cap to fall back down before i turn it back on. I can't vacuum for more than a minute before i lose suction. It's really irritating. Any ideas?
Also, if it's blowing a lot of air out the exhaust, it also means the motor is pretty powerful 🙂 that means it should be sucking well. So you can put your hand over the exhaust, and get an idea of how much it's sucking at the other end, and this will also tell you if the hose is plugged up or the bag is full if the exhaust end isn't putting out much air
@@rubier.3503 for sure, I am still using it, and when it seems like it's not sucking very well, I'll check the hose, and take it off, and if it's still not blowing much air out the exhaust, it's time to change the bag. It's a pretty good system
I wonder has anyone done so. I'm kinda stuck on instructions in manual about foam filter, doesn't seem to stretch without possibly tearing. I'm trying to take the pleated filter off without breaking device as pictures and reading manual doesn't demonstrate. I see his is off power head. I put vacuum together when I first bought it, but I don't remember how I got the pleated filter on or was it already attached to power head.
Okay, I called and learned You have to remove the Pleated Paper Filter _(wasn't easy for Me to remove, even Rep. had trouble explaining, admitting the Instruction manual isn't good, she was very helpful otherwise)._ Anyway the Rep. stated fittings for the pleated filter is a _"Friction Fit"_ as to why I had so much trouble getting it off. I got it of using a flathead screwdriver, then _carefully_ slid the Foam Filter on only and using it for liquid clean up. I have to remove it when done for water based vacuuming and replace the pleated filter for dry clean up.
You can’t buy those bags the last time I checked, but you can find a different brand bags to fit it. and my vac stopped working after a year. :/ I do like the attachments and handle.
I purchased this but 16 gallon,used it just 4 times,paid 280.00 at walmart in moundsville an today motor statred smoking an locked up ,took back today an they said could not refund it but if they could they are 88.00 now so im out of money an no shopvac???????
If you suck up anything wet, you should take the white bag out, and let the water and whatever else you suck up collect in the bottom. Then you can dump it, wash it out and dry it. 👍 Great question. Thanks for watching

I was sold when I saw how It was picking up the rug. Looks like It has plenty of suction for me to vacuum my car.

Yes, if it's sucking a lot of air, it has to push it somewhere. So it actually makes a good blower as well
Also, if it's blowing a lot of air out the exhaust, it also means the motor is pretty powerful 🙂 that means it should be sucking well. How hot? Mine gets warm, but not too hot to touch. I think too hot to touch would be unusual, keep a fire extinguisher close by

Turns out the yellow filter just pulls off once you remove the stopper in the center of it.
I've barely used mine and sounds and smells like the motor is burning out

When do you use the rubber sealed white bag and when not
If you suck up anything wet, you should take the white bag out, and let the water and whatever else you suck up collect in the bottom. Then you can dump it, wash it out and dry it. 👍 Great question. Thanks for watching
