    I really like the fact that you spend a lot of time detailing your parks. I think it's what makes me like those games almost more than the rides. And I can always take some inspiration from you.
    The fact the episodes are a bit long it's ok too since you explain everything you do and why.

      For now, I think there's a total of 26 scenarios so I'm afraid this playthrough might end there (unless more scenarios are added, somehow) - but after that I think it'd be interesting to try my hand at a sandbox map.

    Just started rewatching this series, & it’s been equally as enjoyable as the first time. One of the best featuring Parkitect campaign, certainly one of my personal favorites. It’s been a healthy dose of nostalgia & reminded me of some great times.
    During that release period, I had very high hopes that you might hit us with a modded sandbox series once the mods were more developed. Probably more excited with the prospect of it than any other of content, & now, I must admit, I’m finding myself feeling the exact same. Unfortunately, with the exception of AstroTron & CoasterB, there really aren’t any great sandbox parks, & I just think it’d be awesome to see that series.
    Probably a long shot, but I had to say something! Thanks for everything. Cheers.

    dunno if i mentioned it last time i watched this, but i LOVE the different path levels around that water coaster, how the exit comes out under the building and then the coaster ducks under the path that leads to the garden palace area. that whole last section of the build is so cool!

    i really enjoy watching your build style. I learn a lot of stuff how to build and what you can do and so on. Parkitect is such a nice game with so much potential but when i realized how to build a certain style which looks good i keep with it, which works in a game perspective i love to see how different solutions. I often just build a plain roof on top of a flat ride just to make it rain proofed, doesn't look good but it just works.

    What an amazing park! Always love to see the effort you put into this. It is very well thought out. Coming back on why people build next to the oasis and not on them. It is is very simple, why care to cut down trees and bushes to clear ground for a building if you have a whole desert next to it to build on. Moreover those trees prevent the the water from evaporating and holding the water in the ground. And that water is probably the reason they build next to it.

    You usally doesn't build in the oasis becouse of that the oasis is the part where you can farm. You like to have as much land as possible to grow on, and the best wya to make it like that is to build where things doesn't grow.

    If the oasis villages were build on the border of the oasis, the reason for that would properly be that the land around the oasis would be better used for farms, since it is the only fertile land, and you don't really need fertile land for houses (and sand without some fertility is actually a better building ground then the (somewhat) fertile oasis grounds). (don't quote me on this ;O). Btw, I love your videos, and I'm learning a lot of it :)

    • @Codraroll
      @Codraroll 6 років тому +1

      In addition to this, it is important to consider the orientation of the tower and the ride's entrance and exit. Guests have to walk from the entrance gate to the tower entrance, then climb the tower and slide down, and then walk from the end of the slide to the exit gate, before the next guest can enter. Therefore, the entrance gate should be as close to the tower door as possible, and the exit gate should be placed right next to the end of the slide, in order to maximize the ride's dismal capacity. In this video, the tower is rotated 90 degrees off this optimal placement, which is slightly grating to watch.

    This Islamic architecture is a breath of fresh air, but something that is a little off the Mark is the actual form/plans of the buildings. I know you're only creating facades, but symmetry is something that is very consistent in pre-16th century islamic architecture so maybe throw a second bell tower/spire building on the other side of those ride entrances 🙌🏻

    Aren't there two special pieces in the game that might solve the fence-problem on your catwalks? I don't own the game myself, but I think I remember these walls you can place right under your roofs... I just don't know how to explain what they look like. I'm talking of these walls that are cut in 45° so they won't stick out on the upper side of the roof as you place them right underneath it. It's not exactly a fence, but better than having no railings on your catwalks at all.
    "Even though it's sci-fi-ish, I saw some people build steampunk inspired builds..."
    ... Steampunk is indeed sci-fi, it's retro-sci-fi to be exact. :D Now I'm really looking forward to some steampunk as it is my favorite theme...

    Amazing and inspiring as always. I usually wait for sales to buy games but you convinced me to pick up Parkitect full-price a couple weeks ago and I've really been enjoying the throwback feeling to myself as a middle schooler playing the first RCT.
    I was wondering - You seem to be very knowledgeable on all sorts of different types of architecture. What's your process for researching that? Do you look at a lot of reference photos before or during building? Do you actually read books or articles on these styles? Do you spend a lot of time researching before taking on a theme or is this just general knowledge you have from learning about this stuff in your spare time? If you've answered this question before in a previous video I'll totally go back and watch it. :)
    edit: I also wanted to give a software recommendation since you said you usually have tabs open with reference photos. I found a free tool called PureRef that basically lets you drag and drop photos from your web browser onto a canvas and rotate, crop and scale them so you can throw up a bunch of images like photos on a corkboard. You can then save your workspaces and come back to it. I've found it really useful to see a bunch of images at once, and it also has a smaller memory footprint than a bunch of browser tabs.

    • @Silvarret
      @Silvarret  6 років тому +1

      Thanks for the amazing recommendation! Glad you like the game. I'd be excited to see a sandbox park where you're not limited to money and can place whatever you like
