- We go over how to wire up a car stereo. Starting with a basic harness, to a PAC interface module and finally programming a iData Link RR interface . This video goes over all these options. If you want to know how factory features are integrated such as factory back up camera, OEM amp, steering wheel controls, parking sensors and even climate controls. We go over how this is done. We also show you how to download the iDatalink Maestro RR software and take you step by step through this process.

I installed the Maestro RR and it is an awesome unit but it was way more work than just hooking up a simple radio. We added two cameras, one dash cam, radar detector, two amps, sub woofer, all new speakers made to look factory. It was a lot of work that took two full days but it was well worth it. You did a great job of explaining everything. Thanks
It’s crazy how relevant ur videos are to me right now thank you
This is so great! I couldn't figure out the difference between option 2 and 3 until watching this video.
Can’t wait until I get my new stereo from you guys
Thanks for taking the time to do this video it is really informative.
Keep up the great videos guys!
Extremely well done video, thanks!

Anyways keep the volgs coming.

Dope vid
Great Video, Thank You
Thank you. Very useful video. I wish there were a way to install future updates to the Maestro RR without having to rip it out of the car. I'm dealing with a parasitic draw issue but can't get to the unit. Will need to take my car to the shop.
The RR is programmable via Bluetooth. I would assume updates can be done via Bluetooth as well.
hi, ur video is awesome, very especific, i´m trying change my car stereo for a new one, i have a mazda 3 2006 and a jensen cmm7720, could u recommend me the better interface for the swc? and another question, how i do connect these stereo with a new amp? thnx
My 2011 GMC Sierra doesn’t have OnStar do I still need the module to retain the door chime or the accessory power
Which one of these will work with a 2006 Ford Expedition Limited? I'm getting a Kenwood DDX376BT.
I just had a kenwood deck installed in my 2011 f150 with the maestro. Now i want to go back and add amps myself. With the maestro and idatalink harness, where should i tap into the factory speakers wires and rca's for the 9 wire to the speakers? Or can i buy another harness to go from factory speakers to the amps? Thanks
So if i dont put all thoses things like the chime warning and the other stuff i wont be able to see the odometer from my dashboard? And also if i have a check engine it wont tell me? Or ist wont affect anything the warning lights from my cluster?
can you guys start doing videos where you actually SHOW what these things are. i got the RR unit with a new jvc, and now have 2 wires, that look exactly the same. that go different places. and the RR booklet i was given in the box only tells you to download the app to flash the device. well, i still need to know which wire is which.......so now the only way to me to find out how theyre supposed to go is by trial and error...hope i dont fry nothing
Which one will work for my 2012 Ford Edge?
Nice info wiring my radio up and bam, you guys released this.
Quick question: I'm wiring an Alpine ilx-w650 to a 2005 toyota tundra using CRUX SWRTY-61J. I noticed that the CRUX harness doesn't have rear speakers wiring, but the Alpine wiring does. Would you guys recommend connecting the Alpine harness to the toyota harness for rear speakers if not anyone have any recommendations?
Looks like your Toyota might have a JBL system. If it does you have just left and right outputs from the factory amp. Just plug in the front and the rear speakers should play.
@@BreakersStereo Thanks for the help guys. I'll tie it into the front speakers as well. Keep the videos rolling.
Hi is there anyway to install idatalink Maestro in Honda Accord 7 (2003-2007) with dual zone AC to show climate control on head unit screen. Custom wiring can be done if circuit provided
Do you cover a way to install steeringwheel controls on a car not already equipped?
Does the OBI stay connected or remove it?
I bought a Kenwood 77 06 s Kenwood it says hi res I also bought a Kenwood amp that says hi-res am I eliminating my quality for not putting in a maestro I have a 2008 Toyota 4Runner no jbls factory or preamp or should I buy a maestro to better the volume or quality
Is the interface compatible with the Sony xav-ax3250?
I have a 2013 Ram 1500 I want to upgrade the radio what would you suggest without cutting the bracket in the back that holds the single den
If you get a single din you should be ok without cutting right..?? Ok so look a a floating panel radio by pioneer or alpine
So are you saying that the maestro will cover all of the above so I don’t need to buy that radio replacement interface? I have a 2011 ford fusion
Yeah buy the Maestro and the correct harness and that’s it.
what do you do if your radio is not on. the list, and all you need is steering wheel controls, with the maestro RR, it says it will work with most analog swc radios, but theres no instructions on flashing it for a unlisted radio
Klein tools for electrical work me
How do you bypass the factory bose amp on a Silverado using the maestro Rr?
Why would you want to do that? Are you using an aftermarket amp and just dont want to use the Bose amp?
How do I retain or is it possible too retain tps on 2012 tundra does not show my tps engine oil temp or climate controls and I can’t change the double tap on steering wheel controls
A nice touch would have been to go over the wiring diagram for the Maestro RR
The wiring diagram is vehicle specific, it would only help people who have that exact vehicle in the same model year(s)
I have a 2015 soul and I’m trying to place a poneer 2660 in but keep the steering wheel buttons I’m lost as to do I just use the plug that goes into the back of the radio or I have to do all the wiring cause the color codes are not there to match what goes to what?
i have a 2012 jeep wrangler i have done the flash and all that i have the radio powered correctly bu cant get sound
Can anyone tell if I can use an idatalink dash kit without an idatalink compatible stereo?
2012 Silverado (w/o nav or bose) with planet audio p70cpa using PAC rp5 gm31 but the 3.5 swc doesn’t work I can’t figure out why
I had the same issue try moving it to am other 3.5 mm plug port. I have a avh-w4400nex. Hope it works I didn't make a video but I have everything on this video except idata link and that stero
Now will the pac os5 retain the factory xm module for a xm ready head unit for my 2011 Silverado? Any input is greatly appreciated I want to do my research before spending money.
No
@@jamesyoung7655 well I bought one, and it does
@@downtoearthconstruction7768 cool I thought you had to purchase the sxv300… Good to know it’ll be cheaper on my customers then thanks for the information
@@jamesyoung7655 I was pretty stoked I bought a truck and the previous owner had a lifetime subscription to xm so I wanted to upgrade the head unit to something modern and wanted to know if there was a way to retain it and it so happened to be the option after a buddy of mine looked into it aswell.
Can I get some help please? I have a 2020 Nissan Rogue SV. I bought an Atoto S8 and want to install it but I am clueless as what harnesses/interfaces etc I need to buy. Its so overwhelming and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Yikes! Those Chinese radios don’t give you too much instruction. And sometimes they don’t fit the standard kits that we sell. See if you can go into your local shop and have them take a look. I’m sure they can help you find what you need. good sorry we weren’t more help.
Is the odb 2 an optional plug??
Yes
Is it really required to plug the OBD connector to the car ?
What if is not connected?
Just finished installing mine today. It woud not work at all without the OBDII plugged in. Now I am troubleshooting my AC controls. After install all I get is on/off and cant control the temp.
@Rick D Hello, i guess it all depends on the car you have. I did the installation yesterday, and is really an Option to connect the OBD connector to the car. On my case the radio works with and without it. OBD connections allows to see the car gauges. At the end i decided to connect it, i can see all the gauges on the radio.
When I plug the Module in to the laptop it does not power or show on the laptop , why is that
Does anybody know where to put the dial on the pac rp5 gm51 interface for an android radio
Try Jensen or sony
Orión vs sundown
Car stereo used to be so easy but now I don’t know lol
If you have a sony head unit you know it doesn’t have a aux plug for steering controls
I’m colorblind and all you do is match the colors correspondingly. It’s not like we can’t see the colors.
Nice & first! Lol.
For the life of me I don't understand why NONE of these videos shows the rr box itself and various ports. Seems like such a simple option that every one of these strikes out on completely.
I can not, for the life of me get my RR module to connect and program.
Rather pay you to do it lol
For sure!!
