having mine in half an hour 💀👋🏻
Are the questions really hard
@@lawzy4it’s honestly not that bad. Most questions are pretty much common sense, if not, taught during the course. I do advise to look up a quizlet to review some material however.

@@fenypoowhich one did you use can you give the name i have mine tomorrow and i stayed up finishing the 9 lessons
I took a lifeguard course last weekend and I wish I'd seen this video first. I watched a ton of your other videos while preparing for the course, they were extremely helpful and probably the only thing that saved me from failing.
I take mine this weekend! I've been binging his videos to help me prepare 😊 I love his videos. They are extremely informative!
Adam - I just came out of testing for my re-certification (4/12/2023). I had used your videos for studying and passed both exams (Lifeguard, and CPR). Much of what you explained in your videos “Test Questions You Will See On Your Lifeguard Written Exam” was very helpful. Thanks. But I want to correct you…or provided updated info…on one specific topic that you went over, and was also a question on my exam. In your video you explain that “if it’s a brutal day for lifeguarding, and you’ve run out of water, exhausted, etc….what are you going to do?” You state the the right answer is going to be “Jump into the pool and guard from in the water.” My test had an almost identical scenario question on it, and one of the answer choices was to get in the water (in addition to “taking a break in a cool area; check with the aquatics manager; tell the other guards you’re taking a break). So “get in the pool” is what I selected. It was marked incorrect.
Also, regarding “trick questions”…there was one question about PPE, and specifically gloves, and when to put them on. The answer that everyone in the class got wrong, and we discussed afterwards, was about “putting on latex gloves.” Every other step of the scenario was correct. But that answer was wrong because latex-free nitrile gloves should be used.
Thank you for this comment. Not all places allow you to guard in the water, it’s up to your management and facility guidelines. So the safer answer might be the communicate and go on break one. But in real scheme of things, if that option is available, that’s what guards do. Also the latex glove stuff is tricky because it’s so exact. Appreciate you giving a rundown on your recent exam!
I have my 3rd nplq renewal on Sunday. I just finished staff training tonight to make up my 20hrs over thr 2 years as I only work the lido in the summer 😎 your videos are great for a refresher, thanks for posting 👍
i took the test and all the questions are common sense questions. I already passed last year, but I'm getting recertified. I just needed a refresher tyyy

Hi Adam, I am taking the first day of the lifeguard course/certification tomorrow and I am not really sure what to expect. Mine is two days long (12:00-9:00) and I am just wondering if there is more than one written test and when to expect it. Is it on the last day or is it right after the swimming pretest? What do we do after the swimming pretest, and if we dont make it do we get kicked out? (This is going to be my first job so im really nervous.)
Hey, sorry for the late response.. there will be one main written test, unless they break it up in 2 for cpr and the rest of the material in a online vs class room format. U do water entries after the protest and if u don’t make it, they will recommended h to try again or hang around for cpr only.hope that helps

Yes they’ll give you some symptoms and you have to define what it is. Would recommend paying a lot of attention to first aid and blood borne pathogens, you’ll get questions about those topics
