evening, Jeff. I live in Ukraine abd during the war my country had to export most of its bread, so the prices have soared by 50% and are still growing. It has been my dream for dozens of years to learn cooking cookies and bread-like products. I can see that you are passionate about cooking, and know some practical recepies. May I ask about what time this 'rising' takes? Does the smell or some other indicator tell you it has risen sufficiently?
@@English_Lessons_Pre-Int_Interm Usually 30 minutes to an hour each rise, depending how warm it is in your house. Always put it in a warm place. I like my house cool, so I put my dough inside the oven, while still off, but I turn the oven light on, which gives off the perfect amount of heat. You’re looking for your dough to double in size, then you’ll punch it down, re-knead it back to your desired shape, and let rise again, or make rolls or baguettes and let rise again. Just depends on what you’re making. Hope this helps. :))

This variation of Bannock bread is great when your out camping.
When I see the first ingredient is flour, I am maybe is another one of her amazing cakes but this bread has to be good like all of your recipes; thank you so much for another one of your delicious recipes. Have a great day and many blessings to you.

Congratulations.
The crunch at the end makes it a great success
... And that is the actual music. Very nice.
My mom used to make bread like that when we were small. Bring back memories watching this video. She call it pot bake bread.😋❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Does it taste any good?
There is nothing better than home made food.
@Peter Evans well damn
@Laya 488 No one food makes you fat... going over your calorific limit does!!
This is a really nice video, the kitchen sounds were amazing and felt like I'm right there in room.
I wish there were more videos like this. No music, no babbling about irrelevant stuff. Just getting on with the job. Great. I might try this.
Borely Nun? Is that you?
That crunch at the end! Brava!
Beautiful video. No music, no words, so simple. Love it.
😍💖👍I Almost tipped over when you crunched into this wonderful bread! Thankyou for EXACTLY how you make your videos!
There are few things in life as lovely as freshly baked homemade bread, and this certainly looks and sounds to be delicious!
I have bookmarked this video to try to do this myself.
Thank you for this perfect tutorial.
It looks awful though. Dense and just bad
@@jessecalato4677 I respectfully, but completely disagree with you!
@@felixcat9318 it's too bad that you haven't had a proper home made bread
@@jessecalato4677 i have been looking for a strong bread, tired of flimsy bread.

Got to love the crunching at the end.
That’s for me too, it is the best part of the bake😋 So, even if it is over baked... you’ll still enjoy it🥰
Me too. I wish she was my sister inlaw l love her. Woow.
The same version in Turkey is called BAZLAMA! Very delicious with feta; tomatoes olives and fresh oregano!
😲😲🤤🤤😋😋😋😋👍🏽
I wasn't hungry, until I heard that crunch. Once I heard the crunch, my brain exploded! I could taste it, smell it, vivid imagery of all of the things I'd love to eat with and on this bread filled my mind! Not the best video to have watched just before bed time!
Me too! The crunch did it for me too. YUM!!
I hated the crunch. Cutting the bread I could heard the crispness of the crust, but the crunching was gross 🤢 I had to turn the video off to make it stop.
Freshly baked bread is so tasty. And it also has a crunch to it. Just don't keep it too long in its pan before cutting otherwise it absorbs some of the steam.
How long must it stay in the pan?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is so good to watch a video without any background music. As always, what is simple is always better. :-)
It looks and sounds delicious... with a little butter an honey... heavenly 🍞🍯🍞🍯
This is ridiculously satisfying. I was so relaxed watching and listening. And I can’t wait to make it!
I so agree!!
Marianne Guarena, Totally Agree with you, we have been watching Rita since the beginning. Lovely Woman, great Recipes, and So relaxing in this Mad Mad World.. God Bless Us All.

I love the preparation sounds WITH NO MUSIC!!!
Except at the end…”crunch crunch crunch”
I just wanted her to put butter on it😋
No complaints. Lol

I made this then sliced it 1" thick. I then toasted one side under the grill, spread garlic butter (soft butter and minced garlic mixed together) on the other side and put back under the grill until golden brown...I guarantee that it will be the best garlic bread that you've ever eaten!
Brilliant!

I was just thinking " oh that's the way wemen in my country knead (North-Africa). Hands of wemen who know the "art of kitchen". Something different from "business chef' hands".
My grandma made this all the time, but we called it flour bread, you nade me miss her, good memories.
Flour bread!? You couldn’t come up with a better name?
@blackdragon7803
It is my understanding that cornbread was more readily available in Europe years ago. Not everyone had access to or could afford wheat flour at the time.
My mama something very similar all the time too. She called it flour bread as well.

I hope you have better compassionate days ahead.
Wow! If there's no oven around, you can still make bread! That's a winner! Thanks! 😀👍💕
Usually it is a bought loaf in the freezer section. Like the old lost ways of homemade noodles.
