Lots of great new music. Just not what you hear in the mainstream. And we also associate our memories with the music and what was going on in our lives at the time. Hard with new music to compete with nostalgia.
Limp Bizkit had a monumental mainstream success between 1999 and 2004. Linkin Park started to enjoy the same around 2001. This videoclip is from 2001 and it was the main theme song for WrestleMania 17 in the same year. This song is a certified banger 🔥
You and Andy reacting to their cover of Behind Blue Eyes (from the Halle Berry film Gothika) would be a great video. You get to really hear Fred's versatility and range in his voice. No rapping in it, just pure singing. Believe me, Behind Blue Eyes is worth the reaction.
Andy roo is right, there is a ton of great pop punk from the ninties, from songs you know like "Basket case" by Green Day to songs you dont know like "all my best friends are metalheads" by Less Than Jake. cant wait to see you dive into that scene.
Limp Bizkit was definitely in the nu metal category when it came out! I was/am a huge Limp Bizkit fan! Saw them in concert. System of a down opened, followed by Method Man/Red Man, and then Limp. Was such an amazing concert. System of a down opened when they were brand new and I knew nothing about them. It was WILD! I was along the rail, and had to get pulled out and lost my friend. I had to watch the rest of the concert with strangers. This was before cell phones lol.
I lovveeee how you brought up sum41! Such an amazing vibe. This was a great reaction. Love me some of this in my life. Hope to see some more! Maybe even some sum41!
You guys nailed it on the head....this album came out in 1999...was a massive year for album drops....slipknot also dropped their first self title album that year
i was 12 in 1999, that explains why i had the edited version of the CD from my parents and than the explicit version from my brother cuz he's actually cool lol
So nice to see yall react to this My momma used to argue with my dad and get wasted to this song. I was a mommas boy so i was jammin with her We had two albums from limp we would jam with the cd player in the car. My mom was 4 years sober before she passed last year. These song bring back painfully awesome memories lets go0o0o0o
nu metal/rap-rock they are at the same time, soad, linkin park, limp bizkit, slipknot, korn, disturbed and so on - at end of 90's - the beginning of 00's. They were big, and some of them are still big
Limp Bizkit were INCREDIBLE in their time. Fred, who many of us knew who lived in Jacksonville FL in the 90’s and their lead guitarist Wes my wife knew him and his family when he was in High School. Fred was SOOO talented and their group made some great music. Fred also helped launch STAIND (Aaron Lewis’ band) into the stratosphere in 2001 tied to the Family Values tour they used to be a part of. Fred is honestly such a cool and nice dude.
LB broke out on MTV a replacement band at5 one of MTVs spring break show, they hit the show and never looked back, FKN awesome group, band crew they hadf it all, front man, great guitarist, awesome base, a true DJ and great writing
Limp Bizkit and Korn are the two bands that are thought to be the TWO names that started the new genre of metal in 90' what we know as NuMetal, also represent the two branches of it. Metal with rap and Dj aspects brought into a pop like build with low bass and hooks. Linkin Park came later but is definitely one of the most known and commercialized numetal bands.
I always forget how bleeping good they were! Dang. I don’t even remember what happened? It was like one day every got too cool for school and started crapping on them. My brain is too old to remember so I’m sure they had lame moments, but back in middle school everyone loved them.
I watched this doc on Netflix I think and it was about the woodstock that Limp bizkit played at. Those dudes absolutely tore the stage up. Like literally. The crowd ended up losing their shit and causing mayhem. If you haven’t seen that performance you should check it out.
I wore this cd out when it was released .It's literally all I listened to 😅 My fav is Re-Arranged. ❤ Actually, this morning on my way to work, I was listening to Limp Bizkit and Method Man- N 2 gether now 😂 so they are still on my playlist 😊
I grew up in Jacksonville when Limp Bizkit was a local band. $3 bill era and before. When significant other came out they had an incredible push thanks to John Davis and the record label help them because they ended up working with Wu-Tang and getting more exposure through MTV and TRL. It amazes me when people hate on Limp Bizkit because they were literally everyone's favorite at the time. Even people who don't admit it still jammed out because it's fun music, they were great at crossing the bridge between rap and rock, in the era they helped define
Limp Bizkit is right up there with Creed for the title of "best band nobody admits to loving". There were a couple years where their song "Break Stuff" was my go to "get pumped up" song.
Seeing them live was an unexpected highlight of last year, was at a festival they were playing at and their set was incredible. They did all the best songs but it was different, like they played this song but it was more up beat and just overall sounded better
They are nu metal through and through. Basically mix of rap metal and rock. Chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water album is awesome. I had that shiz when I was like 13 haha. But ya they were all over mtv but thy also used this song for the rock vs stone cold way back which was epic
We didn’t call it Nu Metal until years later. It was a natural progression of combining rock with hip hop since we had grown up with it in the ‘80’s and most of us liked both styles of music. This was 98/99 into the 2000’s. Linkin Park dropped in 2001 if my memory serves me.
Have you done “My Generation” by Limp Biskit? It’s my favorite and the video kinda shows the craziness of the fans getting ready to go into the concert
You can thank/blame Korn for Lip Bizkit getting noticed. The story goes that after a show in Jacksonville, FL that Korn was the opening act for, Fred Durst was able to persuade Fieldy, Korn's bass player, to listen to a demo. Korn added a then-unsigned Limp Bizkit to two tours. Those performances got the attention of Flip records. Fieldy also persuaded Ross Robinson, who produced Korn's first album, to listen to the demo. Robinson went on to produce Limp Bizkit's debut album.
Cool reaction guys, thanks. Limp Bizkit were the Nickelback of metal in the 2000’s, hugely popular, loads of sales/plays but nobody admitted to listening to them, they are also awesome live. Given your Metal journey you need to do a reaction with Andy of Tallah - Overconfidence. This band has a modern Nu Metal vibe - the love chime of a threesome between Slipknot, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit with a vocalist that can give Will Ramos a run for his money! Just got to be done!
You definitely need to take a listen to ,All In The Family. It’s a Korn song featuring Fred Durst and it’s a back and forth music battle between the 2. Such a great song.
One of the biggest reason why Limp Bizkit fell out so quickly was Fred Durst (singer) arrogant attitude at the time he basically was a punching bag. It was either you loved him or really hated him . Fred has since then became really polite and ironically really humble
They were very popular. All the big artists were features on some videos. All it took was 1 duet with Christina Aguilera on some awards show and then everyone started hating on them
Omg I saw Limp Bizkit five times that band is off the hook live. Fred Durst is a maniac. I saw them a corn. I saw them with LINKIN PARK. I saw them with Metallica and LINKIN PARK together. They are not an opening at whatever slack they got was from people that were jealous of thembecause they blew the house down every time
Yess I love Limp Bizkit!! One of my faves is Eat You Alive! they can be goofy sometimed but they got bangers also behind blue eyes is beautiful. U mentioned Eminem. I can't quite remember your question but I thought I should mention they have both collaborated and had beef 🎤🥩😂 Great react guys! 💐✌️🖤
4:21 all the flack went to nu metal in general. But were also super popular. Eminem dissed them because they talked shit in an interview about him when he had beef with everlast.
Their cover of "faith" by George Micheals, i think, is what really got them into the mainstream. I didn't like it at the time, but it's good to me now. Their first album (Correct me if I'm wrong), 3 dollar bill yall, was when i got into them, and i was a naive teenager and didn't like the mainstream stuff for no reason. Funny how people don't like things just because they're popular. I'm rambling, love you all
That's DJ Lethal who was also the DJ for House of Pain, which is where Eminem's beef with Limp Bizkit came. Em was dissing Everlast when he went soft after a near death experience and on an appearance on TRL Lethal said something about Everlast beating up Em.
I can so relate to the comment on how it was an investment went to record store, then I think how it's something my kids will never know becouse how much technology has changed how we listen to music
I would love to see you react to Limp Bizkit- Faith (a George Micheals cover) Its kind of what kick started their popularity. Also would love to hear you react to a song Limp Bizkit and Korn did together- All In The Family It's kind of a back and forth diss song
If you didn’t know DJ Lethal the DJ in Limp Bizkit was also the DJ for House of Pain…..
53 year old Black woman checking in and I own three Limp Bizkit cds 👀 They were doing their thing!
I still rock with Limp Bizkit! But then again, I'm pretty much stuck in the past when it comes to music....It was just so much better back then! 🤷♀️
I’m with you.
I still rock with Limp Bizkit. I'm 61 and progressed with the times but still love me some LB.
That’s the truth. Same here not liking much of the new music
Lots of great new music. Just not what you hear in the mainstream. And we also associate our memories with the music and what was going on in our lives at the time. Hard with new music to compete with nostalgia.
I'm with you brother.
Limp Bizkit had a monumental mainstream success between 1999 and 2004. Linkin Park started to enjoy the same around 2001. This videoclip is from 2001 and it was the main theme song for WrestleMania 17 in the same year. This song is a certified banger 🔥
Limp Bizkit to Linkin is a very real thing.
Yeah.
It also appeared in the official trailer for *The Fast And The Furious* .
George Michael's "Faith" cover is golden also by Limp and Chocolate Starfishes!
LB still rocking! I was just at their concert last week!!! This song will always be awesome specially because of the rock vs stone cold!!
Showing him Limp Bizkit behind blue eyes would blow his mind. All singing by Fred Durst no rock just straight singing
Agreed
Yup. It's a really good cover!
For real. That's one of my favorite Limp Bizkit things to listen to.
Not a fan of that cover, but I can see it. The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) is my favorite album of theirs.
My favorite part of that song is when he threw in the speak and spell!! One of my favorite childhood toys growing up! 😆
Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water is an INSANELY good album top to bottom
Andy roo is right, there is a ton of great pop punk from the ninties, from songs you know like "Basket case" by Green Day to songs you dont know like "all my best friends are metalheads" by Less Than Jake. cant wait to see you dive into that scene.

A reaction to Rollin "urban assault vehicle" would be so hype.
At Woodstock 99 Limp Bizkit was blamed by many for the riot that shut the concert down.
Exactly, and they lost traction after Woodstock 99 .. Lots of Hate was thrown at them after the Riot …
and the worst part was the promoters were the real blame but blamed the fans and bands. then, LB become the full blown scapegoats.
Limp Bizkit and the other artists in general had nothing to do with it though.
The organizers did!
I lovveeee how you brought up sum41! Such an amazing vibe. This was a great reaction. Love me some of this in my life. Hope to see some more! Maybe even some sum41!
Man this was the jam my daughter and I listened to on the way to play paintball back in the 90s, this and ICP. Really got ya pumped
You guys nailed it on the head....this album came out in 1999...was a massive year for album drops....slipknot also dropped their first self title album that year
i was 12 in 1999, that explains why i had the edited version of the CD from my parents and than the explicit version from my brother cuz he's actually cool lol

This song in WM17 was goose bump inducing man.
Still the best wwf hype video package ever
nu metal/rap-rock they are at the same time, soad, linkin park, limp bizkit, slipknot, korn, disturbed and so on - at end of 90's - the beginning of 00's. They were big, and some of them are still big

Alright, I'm ready to watch The Rock take on ol' Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania X-Seven now!
LB broke out on MTV a replacement band at5 one of MTVs spring break show, they hit the show and never looked back, FKN awesome group, band crew they hadf it all, front man, great guitarist, awesome base, a true DJ and great writing
Limp Bizkit feat. Method Man N 2 Gether Now is one of my favorites.
Limp Bizkit is solid nu metal. They were one of the first to really bring this style forward
Limp bizkit - boiler
Limp Bizkit and Korn are the two bands that are thought to be the TWO names that started the new genre of metal in 90' what we know as NuMetal, also represent the two branches of it. Metal with rap and Dj aspects brought into a pop like build with low bass and hooks. Linkin Park came later but is definitely one of the most known and commercialized numetal bands.

Y’all have to do a reaction to either “rollin” or “my way” from limp bizkit. Those are the best!
First concert was Family Values in summer of 1999 with LB, Staind, and Korn. Check out Limo Bizkit’s cover of Faith by George Michael
I watched this doc on Netflix I think and it was about the woodstock that Limp bizkit played at. Those dudes absolutely tore the stage up. Like literally. The crowd ended up losing their shit and causing mayhem. If you haven’t seen that performance you should check it out.

ANDIROO!!!
You must show Andiroo this track
SO-SO - Lost Lands 2022
I remember first time I heard them was their cover of "Faith", they launched after that!
Love this, and Break Stuff is freaking fantastic!! The video is an all-star festival!! 😊
Eminem is actually in the Break Stuff video 😊
Rearranged and boiler are my favorites. So good
This song was used in the best promo for wwe stone coins and the rock wrestlmania promo the two are perfect with each other
Limp Bizkit is right up there with Creed for the title of "best band nobody admits to loving". There were a couple years where their song "Break Stuff" was my go to "get pumped up" song.
Break stuff is my go to when I’m beyond pissed
Seeing them live was an unexpected highlight of last year, was at a festival they were playing at and their set was incredible. They did all the best songs but it was different, like they played this song but it was more up beat and just overall sounded better
DJ Lethal from House of Pain
I still rock limp bizkit .. Their first album was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 in 1997.. Should check out their first video Faith remix
if you guys like limp, you should definitely look into Deftones. they will blow your minds
Fred was the goat at this time . ❤
LB is touring this summer. they still have the energy.
Behind Blues Eyes he does do an incredible cover of it.
Behind blue eyes next please 🔥🙏
Check out their other music videos. 'Boiler' goes hard!
Limp bizkit- behind blue eyes.. it's the best cover of the oringal it's 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Refused - "New Noise". You should listen to this song! :)
the shape of punk to come is an epic album :)
@@dmyz5343 Yes!
Behind Blue Eyes really shows off his singing voice! Also Green Day has been around since the 80's
I’m going to see them at Rockville in May.
❤❤ I'm glad Andy Roo at least he knew who LB ia😅
Hybrid Theory dropped in 2000. I love watching you two react together!
This was the first song on their show in Kyiv, Ukraine (I think it was 2009)
Hearing them live was unforgettable🤩
They are nu metal through and through. Basically mix of rap metal and rock. Chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water album is awesome. I had that shiz when I was like 13 haha. But ya they were all over mtv but thy also used this song for the rock vs stone cold way back which was epic
311 doesn’t get enough love when it comes to hip hop and rock.
That's a fact! I wish Black Pegasus would react to some 311.
It always reminds me of The Rock and Stone Cold promo for Wrestlemania.
Limp Bizkit's first hit was Faith. a cover of the George Michaels song. you guys should check that out.
You can thank/blame Korn for Lip Bizkit getting noticed. Welcome back, Roo! Nice reaction.
Cool reaction guys, thanks. Limp Bizkit were the Nickelback of metal in the 2000’s, hugely popular, loads of sales/plays but nobody admitted to listening to them, they are also awesome live. You definitely need to take a listen to ,All In The Family.
It’s a Korn song featuring Fred Durst and it’s a back and forth music battle between the 2.
Such a great song.
I’ve always looked at Limp Bizkit as a rap group mixed with rock.
You should check out Golden Cobra next. An overlooked banger!
Huge Wes Boreland fan, great reaction.
ANother awesome reaction! Thank you. You need do more reactions to Limp Bizkit and also Wes Borland who plays guitar and has the craziest costumes.
❤😂🎉 look who I got😂 you both should go through some mid - late 1990's music. It would be so fun to watch.
I advise you to take a look Limp Bizkit-Take a look around
Yesssss a personal favorite 💯
One of the biggest reason why Limp Bizkit fell out so quickly was Fred Durst (singer) arrogant attitude at the time he basically was a punching bag. It was either you loved him or really hated him . Fred has since then became really polite and ironically really humble
I saw them live with Godsmack and DMX. BEST FUCKING CONCERT EVER!!
There is a alt version of rollin called rollin (urban assault vehicle) feat REDMAN METHOD MAN and DMX bro it’s legit fire please react
i love limp bizkit. when i was a kid, my whole school in germany was dressed like them 😂
They were very popular. All the big artists were features on some videos. All it took was 1 duet with Christina Aguilera on some awards show and then everyone started hating on them

Since you love the use of the DJ's with the metal style music you'll love 28 days music they go hard with the scratching in their music
Yo Black P! All of your content is original content. No one else has your reactions. That's original.
4:21 all the flack went to nu metal in general. But were also super popular. Eminem dissed them because they talked shit in an interview about him when he had beef with everlast.
Take A Look Around by Limp Bizkit it's like a Mission Impossible song 🎵 ❤
I think it was the family values tour with Korn and stain’d they made an album from that was really good.
Behind Blue Eyes is a great cover by Limp Bizkit if you want singing.
Chocolate starfish and the hot dog flavored water. I used to jam to it commuting to school and work.
I still rock limp bizkit daily 🤘🤘
Do more Limp Bizkit!!!! 🔥
Their cover of "faith" by George Micheals, i think, is what really got them into the mainstream. I didn't like it at the time, but it's good to me now. Check out All in the Family Limp Bizkit and Korn.
They did get memed on a fair bit, but I was into it. And they were huge. That period of the early 00's they were on top of it all.
Fred gets so much hate but he’s such an underrated vocalist. Suuuuper versatile. He can sing, rap, scream, sing, rock vocals, all of it
That’s so lethal x dj for house of pain and DJ for La Coka nostra
Not to sound like Eric Lassarde, but Limp Bizkit put out many, many great offerings. Forever a fan.
Limp Bizkit's newer stuff like "Out of Style" and "Dad Vibes" may resonate more with you.
7:27 …
Limp Bizkit started out slightly before Linkin Park.
Limp Bizkit started around '98 and Linkin Park around 2000.
😶
They were hugely popular
I can so relate to the comment on how it was an investment went to record store, then I think how it's something my kids will never know becouse how much technology has changed how we listen to music
If you guys didn't know the dj in the band is dj lethal from house of pain
Best guitar players like in limp bizkit come from Virginia 😊😊😊😊
I would love to see you react to Limp Bizkit- Faith (a George Micheals cover) Its kind of what kick started their popularity.
Also would love to hear you react to a song Limp Bizkit and Korn did together- All In The Family
It's kind of a back and forth diss song
