As an officer, I dealt with everything, but I found kettle+sugar attacks one of the worst, it's like a mini acid attack.
What makes it worse is there's very little you can do to help, plus the immediate aftemath is a scene from a horror movie. Peoples flesh genuinely melts. Then, if they survive, the long-term recovery is months, most are permanently scarred, many balded, blinded, lose features, lose the ability to talk etc. Give me a thousand shank or other weapon attacks over 1 kettle attack, the less people see those the better

I thought this was a Scottish prison thing obviously not but whoever came up with that idea is knew sick individual. I'm a chef and know what damage boiling sugar can do because it sticks brrrrr ive got chills at the thought

@@Ruth78620its not just a Scottish thing. I seen it done multiple times back in the early 2000s, but what makes it worse is the one throwing the kettle of boiling water and sugar usually shut the cell door on their way out so the victim cant run to get help. They have to wait until the screws get to them, open the door, and then get them some help. No wonder I've got mental health problems these days, watching that kind of thing on a regular basis must mess with your head.

Of course there are exceptions like child killers/nonces who shouldn't even be allowed protection...I don't get your thoughts/emotions with Stapleton when he's being pro-active. It's sad and dangerous how things have come to this but it's a common thread on this wired. Doormen who once managed clubs and people are now more dangerous as these doorman who controlled and managed the people are now unable to wirk as they don't fit the clean cut image councils want so clubs are run by qualifications not experience but when it turns shitty these part time doormen run and lock themselves in an office waiting for police ti arrive, experience doesn't fit these days. Any job you have a person shit at their job now became managers as sacking them fir being crap ends up in court cases so orders are given by them without a clue. All this does is as you see, puts people in danger abd makes places a very unsafe environment. No longer is the best able person given a job, the job goes to whoever manages to tick the most boxes on a spreadsheet . It's fucking dangerous
