61 year old man here. I stumbled upon a ghost video about a year ago, and I asked my friend if he had heard about this new band ghost. He laughed at me because I had never heard of them. I’m a big Prog fan from the old days. A bit of a deadhead too. I’ve been watching ghost on UA-cam for a solid year. I’m so addicted!❤

A source online says this song is about the female orgasm. I say that is BS, Tobias as Papa EM 2 had said things about female orgasm in concert maybe referencing a few lines from that song,so, it seems that people have thought the song was about it. I am sure the song is much more complex than that.

It's not that I dislike the newer Ghost stuff, but man do I miss this little era. Monstrance Clock is an easy all-time favourite from the band here.
I hear that. I do dislike newer Ghost stuff; I only consider the first three albums to be true Ghost. After Tobias's original bandmates sued him for withholding payment and erroneously calling the band a "solo project", things went downhill.

Ah I get why they are called Ghost now. There is the Father (Lucifer) the Son (Antichrist) and the unholy spirit (Ghost)

A Monstrance clock was a popular thing in the Renisance ( misspelled ,sorry) period. It was used in rituals, it was a gold colored time piece that kept time. I can't remember all of what Wikipedia said about it, BUT, it was a real clock from what I had read. There are pics of it online, it looked like a chalice sorta BUT it was NOT a chalice. Just do a websearch to see the thing, it looks odd to a non Catholic, BUT, to anyone who was ever a Catholic you can totally picture it in a Catholic church mass.
As far as what Tobias means about it in this song, I can't imagine that strange clock like thing making any noise, especially an eerie sound, BUT it makes for great lyrics to a great song.

I am likely overthinking these lyrics BUT, just who was "lucifers son?" I was raised a Christian, I went to Catholic school until grade 4, I went to church until my late 30's, BUT, I never heard a thing about Lucifer having a son.

What exactly is the monstrance clock?
I'm guessing he's referring to the doomsday clock, which signifies how close we are to Armageddon. "Lucifer's son" would be the antichrist and the antichrist brings Armageddon. So basically he's singing about the end of days. Typical stuff for Ghost.
