Their first two albums are by far the best. Metal with great melodies.

I may be wrong but I don’t think I am…..there was no such thing as auto tune back then.

      Of course not.

Definitely no such thing as auto tune back then.. also, people like to bash on the Crüe but they wrote, not co wrote or outside writers like many of their peers, at the time, some of the biggest hits of that era.

      Definitely no auto tune

Correct. No autotune until sometime mid to late 90s. The sound people are getting confused about with the vocals is 2 effects: vocal layering and reverb/echo
vocal layering just means taking the same vocals (in most cases) and putting them on top of the same vocals to make it sound louder.
reverb/echo: This is self explanatory. If you were to remove he vocals from the instrumental you can hear this a lot easier.

"Too Fast For Love". album released in 1981 They combined glam metal, punk.rock & heavy metal before going glam in the mid 80's.In Motley Crue's early club days they would set the bassist (Nikki Sixx) pants on fire, chainsaw head off a mannequins.Little bit of shock rock at the beginning. It's fake blood in Mick's mouth

Saw Crue twice back in the 80's, and I like the disheveled look rather than the glam they picked up later. Definitely way up there on my list of faves. I'd also like to add that it just really does my heart so good to see two young gentlemen able to seriously sit down and appreciate the 80's music without the mocking and giddiness that other creators seem to enjoy doing. Blessings! Subbed.

Nope no auto tune back then. This was 1981. I was 6 and in kindergarten when this came out. Didn’t get into them or rock/metal for 6 more years. But oh man. First time I heard this my reaction was same. Damn good music

Who said Vince had a bad voice back then and that Nikki Sixx can't play bass? Don't listen to the haters, some people just don't like MC. Vince's voice was trashed long ago, but in the 80s it was killer. Nikki writes most of the band's songs & he can totally play bass. In the 80s they were in their prime, they were hugely successful and some people don't like that, lol. Nikki liked a lot of different music as a young person, including loving the Beatles, Stones etc and of course Blues was the basis for rock music.

First thing there was no auto tune back then, secondly they were just lip syncing this, like all band did back then, but Nikki did play the bass not only this song, but every song they have ever done.

No auto tune back. This is raw, he does pound his bass.
First 3 albums was awesome. After that they are crap. I saw them live in 82. Now they use click tracks. Vince Neil is fat and can’t sing, he mumbles. Nikki sixx can not play bass from the beginning
