Their first two albums are by far the best. Metal with great melodies.
No auto tune until late 90s.
This is from their 1st album Too Fast For Love (1981), my favorite Crüe album.
First album, self produced, basically a demo
And this was the first song they wrote together. Still my favorite from them.
I may be wrong but I don’t think I am…..there was no such thing as auto tune back then.
Of course not.
Definitely no such thing as auto tune back then.. also, people like to bash on the Crüe but they wrote, not co wrote or outside writers like many of their peers, at the time, some of the biggest hits of that era.
Definitely no auto tune
Correct. No autotune until sometime mid to late 90s. The sound people are getting confused about with the vocals is 2 effects: vocal layering and reverb/echo
vocal layering just means taking the same vocals (in most cases) and putting them on top of the same vocals to make it sound louder.
reverb/echo: This is self explanatory. If you were to remove he vocals from the instrumental you can hear this a lot easier.
"Too Fast For Love". album released in 1981 They combined glam metal, punk.rock & heavy metal before going glam in the mid 80's.In Motley Crue's early club days they would set the bassist (Nikki Sixx) pants on fire, chainsaw head off a mannequins.Little bit of shock rock at the beginning. It's fake blood in Mick's mouth
Saw Crue twice back in the 80's, and I like the disheveled look rather than the glam they picked up later. Definitely way up there on my list of faves. I'd also like to add that it just really does my heart so good to see two young gentlemen able to seriously sit down and appreciate the 80's music without the mocking and giddiness that other creators seem to enjoy doing. Blessings! Subbed.
Nope no auto tune back then. This was 1981. I was 6 and in kindergarten when this came out. Didn’t get into them or rock/metal for 6 more years. But oh man. First time I heard this my reaction was same. Damn good music
Best album they ever did.
MY wife's favorite band.
Their first music video.
Check out the song On with the show. The last track off the Too Fast For Love album. Kind of a heavy ballad and great song!
Makes me happy that the younger generation is discovering the music
Nikki wrote most of their hits.
Their early stuff was heavily influenced by punk...or so I have read. This is a great song.
Who said Vince had a bad voice back then and that Nikki Sixx can't play bass? Don't listen to the haters, some people just don't like MC. Vince's voice was trashed long ago, but in the 80s it was killer. Nikki writes most of the band's songs & he can totally play bass. In the 80s they were in their prime, they were hugely successful and some people don't like that, lol. Nikki liked a lot of different music as a young person, including loving the Beatles, Stones etc and of course Blues was the basis for rock music.
Come in to work and do your Infocus! 😂
Vince was a great frontman and could sing (good enough) back in the day. No autotune needed. Nowadays... Yikes.
Such a cool song!
This is off their first album. I do believe it was 1980 I could be wrong check it out.
Without checking, 81 I think. Wasn't their "Decade of Decadence" called '81 to '91?
Jam🎉
Great song!
Hey guys please check out Faith No More pay attention to the song Epic
If you like old era Crüe at least you can nearly hear the lyrics 🙃
First album is the best
Vixen Love is killer
So good
First thing there was no auto tune back then, secondly they were just lip syncing this, like all band did back then, but Nikki did play the bass not only this song, but every song they have ever done.
Please don't ever compare Mötley Crüe to RUSH again. Not even close.
Fire 🎉
Can you react to the music video creeping in my soul by cryoshell
troops of doom - Sepultura (The shizo version 1987)
Sorry young ones, no autotune back in ‘81.
Check out the band Ghost.
The most meta band for you to react to is Nelson. Just trust me.
Hell no, no auto tune.
Not to be weird, but you two look like you should model
Sorry boys ...no autotune here
What took ya so long....???
No auto tune back. This is raw, he does pound his bass.
First 3 albums was awesome. After that they are crap. I saw them live in 82. Now they use click tracks. Vince Neil is fat and can’t sing, he mumbles. Nikki sixx can not play bass from the beginning
Vince is 63 now and he looks and sounds different. Band still sounds good but Vince.....
Nikki Siixx not a good bassist?? In my opinion you have been misinformed or there’s something wrong with your microphones
I love Motley but I can’t listen to them too long. I swear, Vince Neil has the worst voice.
no.
No auto tune
